Our stay in Holiday Inn was truly wonderful, and I’m happy to give this hotel a full five-star review. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. We had an unforeseen circumstance - our baby fell sick during travel - and the team immediately went above and beyond to accommodate us with an early check-in. Their kindness, understanding, and willingness to help meant more to us than they know.

Throughout our entire stay, the staff continued to be supportive, attentive, and genuinely caring. It made a stressful situation feel so much lighter, and we are deeply grateful.

The hotel’s location is excellent - steps away from the supermarket, public transportation, and all the highlights of downtown Toronto. It made getting around extremely easy and convenient.

A special mention goes to the delicious fresh breakfast, which was a wonderful way to start each day. The food was tasty, well-prepared, and consistently replenished. The breakfast team deserves extra praise for their attentive service and their effort to make every guest feel welcomed and satisfied.

Overall, The hotel offered exceptional hospitality, comfort, and convenience. We felt well taken care of from start to finish, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommended!

Great hotel in an amazing location in a safe area! Bed and pillow wasn’t the comfiest but nice. The bartender Darryl in the Thirty Lounge was amazing! Nicest person , if you’re staying here go down and say hi to him and order a drink, I guarantee he brightens your day!

To sum up the experience here....awkward. We opted for a room with a king bed. The layout of our room was a bizarre intro into what we could expect, being completely unbalanced.
Headboard was the wrong size for the bed, which caused the bedside lamps to be different places (see photos attached). The bedsheet was inside out. Small detail but it's these things that add up to make this experience unpleasant.
The blinds were very noisy to operate (sorry to my other half) and hit the other lamp and coffee maker (again, room was NOT well put together).
The bathroom had NO fan, but just a cheap imitation on the ceiling. I verified there was NO movement of air from it. Water damage was present throughout the bathroom due to this, I'm sure there is mould hiding too (again, see photos!). Wallpaper was done horrendously (humidity didn't help), if that is the extent of the 'renovations' they did I wouldn't be surprised. No doorstop either so don't let the metal door handle hit the glass shower. Bathroom door didn't even latch properly without reallllllly pulling it shut.
BX electrical wire ran outside of the walls and not even properly patched. Was NOT expecting to see it here. Really, *Really*, disappointing.
No gym while we were there. Allegedly an alternative would be provided but other reviews talk about that hassle.
We got a late check-out but they didn't notify housekeeping who came by and woke us up anyways and we had to explain everything to them (nice people, but why would the hotel not keep them in the loop??)
The restaurant attached was fully booked out for a private event with no notice to guests, so don't bank on that.
Really the photos speak for themselves. Spend your money somewhere else.

I really wanted to like this hotel, but too many small frustrations added up. The elevators were painfully slow, and check-in took far longer than it should with a long line. The rooms were small but clean, although the so-called renovations don’t include basics like Chromecast, which most modern hotels now offer.
There’s no fitness centre in the building—you have to go next door. That alone wouldn’t be a big issue, but they require you to line up every single day to get a pass instead of giving one for the full stay. It comes across as cheap and wastes guests’ time.
Getting an invoice was another headache. The number listed on their website couldn’t help because my email “wasn’t on the booking,” and their advice to “press zero” just looped me through menus or hung up on me. After multiple attempts, I finally reached someone—who didn’t listen, immediately put me on hold, and sent me right back to reservations again, who still couldn’t help.
The shower felt flimsy, like the base might cave in, and overall the experience didn’t match the price point. The one genuinely positive part of my stay was the housekeeping service—my maid was kind and friendly every morning.
In the end, this hotel just isn’t worth the wait or the hassle.

Hotel has very friendly staff and good security. Food is also great. However, our room was very small and smelt like toilet water. The pool area had the same smell and was very dirty. The pool deck was flooded with water and full of hair and dirt. The pool walls were also black from the water level up to the top. Definitely improvements needed. Also, their parking garage only goes up to 5 foot 7, so no pick up trucks or large suv’s can fit. Was not told this and it was very difficult to find nearby parking.

Wonderful experience for staying in Toronto! Near the Metro station. Variety of tasty breakfast buffet. Good facilities and reasonable price.

Great location. Close to many sites in downtown including Yonge-Dundas and close to Union Station (walkable). Will definitely come back.

Stayed at the Holiday Inn for two nights and had a great experience overall. The location is excellent—just a short walk from the metro, the Eaton Centre, and the CAA Mirvish Theatre. The complimentary breakfast offers a good variety with coffee available to go, though it does get crowded after 8:30 due to limited seating. The staff were friendly and professional, with a special mention to the cleaning team, who were attentive and consistently warm in their greetings. The small restaurant and bar attached to the hotel also provided a pleasant option for a quick bite or drink. The only downside was that the bathroom felt dated and could use some modern updates.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Toronto Downtown Centre and liked its great location. Our room was clean and practical but a bit small, with limited views. The hotel’s indoor pool and gym were convenient, making it a good choice for exploring the city.
11.07.2025
Upon check-in we noticed that the floors were not clean, the linen was dirty and there was a hole in the wall of our king suite. Maintenance and room service were called and corrected the problems, with the exception of duct tape that was placed over the hole. There was a gap in our reservations, which caused us to have to speak with management to correct the reservations. Because we used a third party to reserve, we were told that there was nothing the hotel could do other than book another night with Trip Advisor online to keep our room. Due to our reservations being booked during a holiday, customer service did not respond, so we had to book with another service. The amenities were convenient once the room was cleaned properly, but for the price of the room and parking, it was not worth the hassle of dealing with the front desk reservationists every day of our stay. The best part of this location had to be the bartender Daryl in the Thirty Lounge.
