The environment is first-class, in the heart of the old city port area, across the street from the city's landmark Parliament Building. However, the facilities are a bit old, especially the air conditioner, which is a bit noisy. Some waiters have good service attitudes.

Although the building is old, the room is very clean and bright, and the decoration is very tasteful. All kinds of sanitary products are available, and it feels like home! The most praiseworthy thing is the big bed, which is not only clean and tidy, but also gives you a "weightless" feeling when sleeping on it! The hotel is located in the seaside harbor, surrounded by British shops and various restaurants and bars, giving people the illusion of going to Europe. In one word: Thumbs up!

Fairmont seems to be a luxurious five star hotel. Nevertheless it’s a bit over-expected. The room is very small, and the toilet can only be used by one single person each time, which is very inconvenient if you go with young kids. High tea quality is unexpectedly low, the environment is good but the staff are not enough. The food is simply not delicate for such a renowned five star restaurant.

I’ve always wanted to stay at this iconic hotel. The room was comfy and the staff was friendly. Of course the location is pefect. I had to walk a long way down 3-4 hallways to get to my room which I thought was to get to my lovely “city view” room but no. My “view” was into other rooms.

Our family reserved 6 rooms for our special occasions, we all had a great time at this hotel. They really took good care of us during our entire staying .
Very comfortable bed and the center of everything. Definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

We had an absolutely lovely and unforgettable stay at the Empress Hotel in Victoria. We stayed in one of the Gold level rooms, which is on the first floor, and features it’s own check-in desk. His was an incredible value for the price since we had access to the Gold Lounge which offered picturesque views of the bay, and the staff were amazing and helpful at every step. We also enjoyed high tea as well, which was an experience that my wife and I both wanted to check off on our bucket list. Overall, we had an amazing experience and we are both excited to come back again in the future.

Stopped by and had a cocktail here and took photos of grounds, and inside was gorgeous. I'd love to come back and stay as I was on a cruise ship this trip. Great location! Can pick up shuttles here back to the cruise ship $8 one way pp. BEAUTIFUL PROPERTY. Also across the street is a great whale watching excursion, eateries, ect. Close walk to downtown & Parliament building.
