The hotel is not bad, the breakfast is delicious, traditional Turkish, quiet, the room had everything you need, the location is convenient, there is a road nearby, where minibuses run, which you can use to travel around the city and nearby villages. It takes 10-15 minutes to walk to the sights of Girne.

After 2 long years away we were glad to be back at Sammys hotel. All the staff had changed but the new staff were lovely, especially Tara, Ali, Jony, Dior, Aziz. Our room lady and the young man who worked alongside her, kept our room spotless, with clean towels and clean bedding everyday. Excellent hotel but in front of main road.

Had a good night’s sleep there despite all the shortcomings such as terrible to no wi-fi and mediocre hygiene! The bed sheets were nice and clean but the toilet hadn’t been properly cleaned before me. There was the shaving gilette of the previous guest and some hair on the wall of the bathroom.

My husband had a bad back and could not walk and they did everything to accommodate us, even calling an ambulance to take him to hospital, and assisting the ambulance crew in carrying him downstairs. I saw a sign listing 12 Turkish brewed craft ales and I had to find out more details. Walked down an alley way and found a secluded place to enjoy a meal it was The Avenue Hotel . We just had a coffee and one craft ale as it was only 10am. Excellent coffee and I tried a craft beer not bad but very expensive at 135TL. But it was an experience . Don't think we will go back.

Only went restaurant. Service was awful. Really slow had to ask several times for things. I had prawn casserole for starter which was good We both had fillet steak which was really good but veg was cold and chips and salad did not arrive until we had finished meal. They were sent back and we left.
