Where to stay in Augsburg

Stayed here for 4 nights. When we first arrived we didn't think a great deal about this hotel. The front of the hotel was locked and we had to walk around the back to get to reception. Fantastic location right in the middle of the Main Street but not noisy at all. Beautiful lobby, excellent reception staff, and comfortable, clean rooms. This was a great stay - so many restaurants nearby, lots of shopping opportunities, as well as close to the tourist information office that gives an excellent English tour.

We chose to stay at Dorint after our airbnb host hadn’t been responding. The staff, the bar, and the restaurant all exceeded our expectations. The only downside was that the parking lot was a bit far, yet still acceptable. Special thanks to the receptionists on May 26th for helping us make contact with our airbnb host.

Needs major redesign and modernisation. You really notice that nothing was changed in the last 30 years or so. The adjacent carpark is a literal ruin. Unbeatable location if you go to a Congress though, and that is what they count on, together with the business from groups going to the nearby sports area.

We were able to book 3 double rooms in very short order by telephone. We were greeted very warmly and were given 3 rooms next to each other on the 11th floor. The rooms were clean and everything you needed was available. The front desk is always staffed and very helpful and friendly. This was our second visit. We would like to come again.

Neat hotel and good location with option of free parking on premises. Rewe is situated same building of the hotel. During summer you need to keep the windows open and it might become bit noisy as the tram lines are just beside the hotel. Found the Breakfast buffet expensive of 14€

A very good and also fair priced hotel a bit outside of Augsburg, but the tram is just nearby and will take right into the action. The rooms are great, a very comfortable bed, a nice interior and the bathroom is great, it even offers a bathtube. Not to mention the amazing breakfast, the breakfast itself is worth the visit!

Very nice hotel. Food was great, German beer which never fails to disappoint. Rooms were very clean and spacious. Only downside was that it was a little bit out of the way, not much nearby. They do provide a free cycle service for you to get around which more than makes up for that.

I had a great stay at the conveniently located Ibis Augsburg Hbf. The room was thoughtfully arranged, functional and very clean. Reception was very friendly.

Decent hotel near the station. Very expensive because of Oktoberfest, €155 per night, for a very small basic room. Decent breakfast. If you want normal tea though, take your own teabags.

Rooms befitting the budget ibis standard. Thin doors, but clean and up-to-date rooms. Be prepared to hear anyone on the corridor. Bathroom is small, but usable. If setting expectations accordingly, everything will be fine.

we stayed pretty spontaneously for just one night and i really loved it. the staff were really friendly and helpful and the rooms were spacious and clean. the reception is open 24/7 so you can go whenever you need. my favourite thing was the breakfast (included in the price) with heaps of options and good food. the staff came regularly to check up on us and we got everything we asked for.

Good value city hotel very well located for exploring Augsburg. We arrived late to find a pleasant lad on reception who quickly checked us in and even offered to carry our bags. Due to the location of the Hotel is rather for business than for city breaks suitable. The rooms are neat and clean. Plenty of choice at Breakfast. Only the coffee from the WMF machine not tasted me. We had also organised a Seminar. With the Service we were very satisfied.

We stayed for 3 Nights in Bio Hotel Bayerischer Wirt in Augsburg at the end of August and were pleased with the food, consisting of bio products, and the personnel was friendly, helpful and welcoming. Very nice hotel. It fits perfectly the business profile hotel. Friendly service, pritty location! Rooms where really spacious and the balcony was nice. Did not have the chance to stay at the hotel due to a misunderstanding during the booking of the rooms. Unfortunately a bit uncoordinated, but VERY helpful TOP LEVEL staff. In my personal experience, some staff in charge of direct contact to customers had a lack of empathy when trying to clear the misunderstand. We arrive at approximately midnight, only to find out the the code provided by the hotel did not work. The key box was working, but apparently they forgot to load our key. The issue was resolved after a phone call, but having to walk to another hotel (and back) at the middle of the night with luggage is not a stress-free experience.

This hotel is centrally located. Our room was large, well appointed, comfortable and clean. There facilities were great and the breakfast was exceptional. Plenty of high quality produce, well cooked and presented.
