Super 8 by Wyndham Augsburg

Price was alright but multiple things wrong with this hotel. So please avoid unless you’re on a right budget.

- double bed is actually just two twin beds out side by side that move around (what is this junk?)
- shower has no door or curtain, so water sprays everywhere
- room is small and fairly tight
- no fridge at all but a big safe. Why?
- room is very warm even in chilly weather outside. No functional AC (setting the AC on did not activate anything)
- restaurant area downstairs is closed which is fine during covid. But no coffee or water cups in the hotel room. No option to order anything to the room like a cup of tea
- very limited parking and right spaces. Hotel was not full at all but almost all parking occupied. No garage.

Sorry, this is an American hotel and not a cute lodge in the Bavarian mountains. I expect more. Thanks.

Too cold inside the room.
We had to ask the boy at the reception for another duvet, because in a room for 2 people we found 2 pillows and only one duvet. But anyway it was too cold.
P.S. Although a novice, the boy at the reception was very nice and kind.👍

This was easily the worst stay in my life.

When we got to our room on a cold, rainy day, the AC was set to minimum. We turned it off, but the temperature did not get higher than 15 centigrades over the whole night (there was no heating option). We were feeling sick just by sitting there.

We also had an unpleasant situation with the staff.
The hotel offers free parking spots. When we arrived we saw a note on the hotel parking that it is EUR 10 per night so we parked nearby. On check-in, we asked the receptionist about the parking, and we showed our reservation details to prove that it included free parking. We confirmed with receptionist that we can repark the car and use the hotel parking for free. He gave us a printout and told us to scan it when leaving the parking next day.

On the next day after we checked out, it turned out the ticket was valid only for the previous day.
We went back to the reception to ask about that, and then another receptionist (Lina) told us that the ticket was indeed only valid for the previous night and it was meant for us to exit the parking as we (supposedly) entered it unwilling to pay. This was obviously not the case, and we explained her what we heard from the receptionist the night before. We also showed her our parking printouts with entry date after we got the "exit" printout, not before.
She was rude, did not want to listen and said that we entered the paid parking so we need to pay. The discussion ended up with an attitude of "pay up or I don't care, ten Euro is not a big deal".
