Reviews
There's no safe in the room. No proper chairs. No wardrobe, only shelves. Loud drilling noises on Monday morning.
Underwhelming
Unfriendly
So basically.. typical German.
The rooms are small and basic, no fridge or ice buckets.
The AC didn't work but the staff failed to mention this. The next day the ac was "repaired" but it felt like it worked at half capacity. My friends room AC never worked.
Parking isn't flat rate.. in a hotel!! Ridiculous.
The location was great and the reception area inviting.
Would not stay again.
- reception manager is not competent and gave me the worst experience at 5am in the morning. Communication and service skills is just bad.
- cold room, air conditioning is not working
- women‘s hygiene trash in the bathroom left
- bathroom not clean
- room has no drinking water, no mini bar
- there is no phone to call the emergency or the reception in case of need - I felt bad in the morning and called the reception from my phone and was asking if someone can bring me water since I don‘t feel good and the answer was: „You need to come to the bar downstairs“. Just imagine if something bad happened, nobody would have noticed!
All in all: I would not recommend this uncomfortable hotel. The price is just not worth it at all.
The rooms might be a little small, but they are clean, and the toilets and showers, while small, are functional. If you're just there to sleep at night, it's perfectly fine and adequate.
The only things I missed in my room were a safe and a fridge/mini-bar.
The breakfast was a little disappointing; I missed having scrambled eggs, but in the end, it's okay.
The location is very nice, though, with lots of places you can reach on foot, and a subway station is also not too far away.
The place is good if you want to go shopping, because it’s very near main shopping street. Zoo is also not far away. City centre is a bit more far away, but you should use u-bahn near the hotel.
Also the hotel has very cool bar at the lobby
Lost 1 star from me, because room had some questionable stains on the wall :D Also we got a very compact room and if you sleep with open window - the sounds from the street can wake you up.
For explorers and people looking to crash for a night - this place is excellent.
1. Rude, unhelpful staff
2. Bed bugs bit me awfully and when asked to move reception made my out like a liar
3. Asked for late check-out, was advised it's possible only minutes later to be told it cannot happen. I asked to pay for an additional night and was told to book online.
4. Room was not properly serviced and cleaned
5. Breakfast is terrible and tables are not cleared for very long time
I will not stay here again.
There is a nice bar that works until late 1 o'clock. Make sure to try their spirits.
The breakfast was decent, the standard buffer of ham, cheese, bread, muesli, milk etc. They had many different types of milk.
The location was perfect. It is surrounded by bus stops and the metro is a 4 minute walk.
My only note was that one of the hangers in the room was broken and my friends room had a kinder Bueno garbage wrap left.
In general, I would go back. The staff was really polite and they all spoke English.
