Motel One Berlin-Upper West

The only positive thing in this hotel/motel is the location and design. Too high rating.
The rooms are small and dirty and old, tv was not working one of the nights, toilet was running constantly, the soap pump was broken. And the top was a manager or security that stopped us in the lobby to prove to him we are from the hotel?! Extremely arrogant and disrespectful: I pay for this hotel, so I can enter in it, right? I read in the comment that this is common practice because of the rooftop-bar, when it is full, they stop people because it is too full upstairs. I can give you tip, Hotel Motel one, in order to improve your security, you can set your elevators with cards, no-one external to be able to go in the hotel levels….

Two stars for the location and the hygiene , and the design is okay, nothing outstanding! otherwise the hotel doesn’t provide even the basics of services! And for these prices and you dont get room service, nor laundry, nor ironing, the smallest duvet possible that it can barely cover only half of your body even though it’s a queen size bed!
You get be asked everytime you come back for your room key by the security making you feel like you are going into the parliament, no mini bar, no tooth paste, one liquid bottle for both hair and body!!! COME ON people, to be asked when checking in if you prefer for your room to be cleaned once every three days! COME ON x 2
It would have been understandable if the prices cut into less than a half of what they are taking or maybe even less!
Otherwise value of quality of service is a complete scam!

I woke up three times during sleep, not by my will the day I slept here. This really amazes me because I am no sensitive type. I never wake up to any sound or distraction according to my boyfriend.
3 am, 6 am because the noise cancellation was zero, I could hear the constant laughing noise and screaming from next door, and at 9:00 the housekeeper just walked into my room without any notice. (just to remind, the checkout time is noon)

I picked this hotel because the location is good, it was not too far from my place, but the next day I had to move out to another hotel.
