Motel One-Spittelmarkt

Good location, lovely hotel and the decor in the public reception area was cool and quirky! The room decor was basic and quite small, would have been good to carry the same theme throughout! Good location, next to metro station, near a Lidl and friendly staff!

I really liked it, basic but very comfortable room. Everything was clean working well. The location is fantastic. There are a lot of public areas and the feeling is great. Good value for your money.

The rooms are a bit too minimalist for me but the common spaces are great !
Breakfast is simple but effective 😁.

For the price we paid to stay here we expected a lot more, small room and quite basic, but clean.
No kettle, no iron ( not that there's enough room to iron anyway) not even a welcome bottle of water.
Staff were friendly enough, but our shower gel vanished on day 1 and was never replaced.
Can't comment on breakfast because we didn't think €120 for 4 days breakfast was acceptable.
Overall a nice hotel but all the money was spent on reception/ lobby bar.
Wouldn't retun , could stay anywhere in Berlin for this price .

(This is a bar-only review, since we did not stay at the hotel) I visited the lobby bar on a recommendation, specifically, the Gin&Tonic menu. Interior is modern and tasteful - you can judge for yourself. Bar was just about to receive the first evening guests and became decently busy after fifteen or so minutes. Since we were on a tight schedule I only managed one drink, but would have definitely stayed for longer otherwise! The drink itself was on-point, served in proper glassware and garnished accordingly. I had been a bit sceptical since I knew their offer of tonics is limited (for a gin themed bar) but that did not prove to be the case - unflavoured tonics such as TH/FT indeed do match the concept of a vast, quality gin offer. Swift service was provided by a talented bartendress Maria, who was happy to explain finer details and ready to answer not-so-regular questions about their gin offer. She even managed to keep meaningful conversations with guests seated at the bar while solo-serving the lounge tables(!) As mentioned, we were not able to stay long enough to see the bar in it’s full swing, but our visit had been a very pleasant experience overall.
