I am telling my experience regarding the cheap way they acted with me. As soon as we checked in we were changing me and my wife at the room. Suddenly one staff entered the room without knocking on the door. And he stopped at the middle of my room 🤯. After telling the reception they were negotiating with me for the price of my privacy. I am not looking for making a deal with them. But as the way they acting was making me feel so cheap. The offered me 40€ for my privacy 😞💔🤯. I told the. I am not negotiating anything. But as you will act i will decide if the hotel is respectful or not. As a result of what happened. They are really thinking as customers we are as cheap as nothing!!!

After today big X for this hotel and never come back to it again.

I’m sorry but every time I stay at a non-Marriott hotel I end up asking myself the same question. It doesn’t matter how beautiful the lobby is, or how nice the bar is and the great breakfast with made to order Omelettes. What is the point of a hotel? To stay the night. Aka sleep. A hard bed with a crack and pillows that are lighter than nothing or harder than cement in the wrong size pillowcase with a blanket that covers half of me just don’t work. If you cater to exclusively Germans then I should know before. I slept zero. Tourists visit cities. The rest of the world sleeps with pillows that are a normal size and blankets that cover the entire bed. Can’t do it. The lobby and open atrium was so beautiful though. 1 star for me. Probably 4 stars for the Germans.

When we first arrived at the hotel, they had already mixed up our reservation with another customer’s. We had booked a city-view room, which we paid extra for. However, the room we were given had a view of the back of a basketball court. I spoke to the manager about the mistake, explaining that this wasn’t the room I had reserved. Her response, with a grumpy expression, was simply, “This is the city view.” There was no apology, and they didn’t offer any alternative solutions.

The staff were not friendly at all. In fact, I almost felt discriminated against by the reception staff. I was traveling with my dog and asked if they could provide a bowl for him, but they said no, even though it’s a pet-friendly hotel. Strangely, I saw another couple traveling with their dog, and they were given a bowl. I ended up buying a bowl myself—no big deal.

Later, when I was heading out with my dog, I asked if they had any small plastic bags for picking up dog waste (I had seen the receptionist give one to the other couple with a dog earlier). Again, the answer was no. To make matters worse, the doorman whispered to the receptionist, and they both started laughing while glancing at me. I have no idea what they were saying, but it felt like they were making fun of me.

The breakfast at the hotel was good, and we also had a nice dinner at the restaurant where the staff were very friendly. It’s unfortunate that I had to deal with such negative experiences at a 5-star hotel, especially considering I paid over €2,000 for my stay.
