Wonderful hotel, fantastic sdrvice, but quite warm with no Air Conditioning. Also, like most city hotels, parking for drop off and pick up is quite limited

Lovely old world feel hotel in the heart of Leipzig right next to the Station which was great for getting to the Leipzig Messe conference center and walking distance to the center for restaurants and the tourist sites like the Bach's Church etc.

A lovely hotel opposite the train station. Which is a little noisy but a great location. Reception staff are lovely and it has a nice bar. Good breakfast times.

Very nice hotel, perfect location, comfortable rooms, spacious. Nice personal as well. Good breakfast, jut the coffee could be better. The only thing for 4*hotel was missing daily cleaning service.

The hotel is about as close as you can get to the central station, which is very convenient. There are other hotels in the historic center, which is a couple of minutes walk away, so you can leave your bags in the reception after checking out and not have to carry them through the town. The breakfast was good, though I'm not sure what the German standard is. The staff were very friendly and useful.

On the "pro" side of things. The building is in all respects *beautiful* and literally on the other side of the road from the transport hub (trains, trams, etc) where there is a handy shopping centre ... The bathroom was well lit and had a lovely-and-spacious shower (but no bath) ... The staff were friendly - even the maid had a smile and a "good morning" for me ... The (included) breakfast buffet was excellent: meats, cheeses, breads, salmon, cereals, sausage, bacon, eggs, teas, coffee.
On the "con" side. As an English speaker, it would have been nice if the BBC TV channel had shown anything but some German phrase I took to mean "it doesn't work" ... The mattress was lovely, but my double bed came with a *single* duvet [what is the insane logic behind that?] and only one pillow (more available on request) ... The heating is "off" by default, which I failed to spot, so woke up VERY cold on the first night - I thought I had found a heater, but it turned out to be a fan, and the casing was broken with wires showing [room 105] ... There was only 1 large towel (which is a problem if you have long hair), I requested a second on the first night, but the maid removed it the next day ... There were no complimentary tea/coffee/milk/biscuits in the room - just a bottle of luke-warm water ... The early checkout (11am) meant I had to sit around with nothing to do for 3hrs on my return trip - I asked for a late checkout but was simply told 'no dice'.
I think 3 stars is a fair review ... 4 stars for better bedding and towels, heating set to 22 degrees, and in-room tea/coffee ... 5 stars for English TV, a bath, blackout curtains, and a late checkout.

A wonderful hotel in the heart of Leipzig. An older hotel with charm that is beautifully maintained with all imaginable conveniences (TV, WIFI, hairdryer, etc.). The staff is competent and very helpful if it's your first visit. Rooms are a nice size; many with balconies. The bar and restaurant are open late and there is almost no need for public transportation or taxis to reach the main attractions in the inner city. Directly across from the train station, but amazingly quiet with well insulated windows. Well worth its 5 stars at any price, but it is also very reasonably priced.

Very nice hotel - our room was very comfortable and spacious, and the location is perfect as we planned to enjoy the centre of Leipzig during our stay. Also the underground parking was nice and easy to use.
