I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights during a conference in the city. The hotel is nicely decorated, the breakfast is very varied and it is open for a long time in the mornings. I specially liked the lounge in the basement of the hotel where you can work, have some food (pizza or flam kuchen) and coffee or play kicker. Although we only stayed here for a night, it's the best stay ever from the service, design and comfort of the hotel. Strongly recommended to anyone who visits Wisbaden.

Just opposite Mainz Hbf with less than 1 minutes walk but very quiet, so it is very convenience whilst good view to see the X'mas market outside the Hbf.

Close to main train station - but that comes with the noise in the late evening, unfortunately. Bed is not a large single bed, it's two beds connected - not very comfortable. Over my 5-day stay, bed linen nor towels were not changed (other hotels change every 3 days).

Ideal location, across the street from the main train station, and just a 10 minute walk to the downtown core. Rooms are small, but clean and modern. Even has a small fitness center in the basement.

Hotel has a good location, however rooms and decor are a bit outdated, for which a renovation is planned in 2022. Besides that breakfast good and with broad choice. The staff is friendly and engaged to make customer happy.

It was an ok stay. The hotel is in the center of town by the park and not too far from the river. I had a big double room, bathroom a bit small, a tub so that was nice. The receptionists are allways hidden behind the desk and you just wish to be greeted. Breakfast is poor. Very few vegetables and fruits.

Good hotel with great breakfast but depending on the room you know that this is one of the older hotels in the area. Not so good in summer due to the lack of air conditioning.

The hotel is near the train station. The single rooms are small and need renovation. The flat TV-set is new, but the refrigerator is not working. The free wifi needs extra registration and the coverige is poor and absent in the rooms. There is no air conditioning and it is hot inside. The bathroom was newly refurbished. The breakfast is very good and starts 6.30 to 10.30 daily.

Stayed for one night while doing the Rhine cycle route. Staff were very welcoming at check in and my bike was locked in a separate part of the hotel overnight. Room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel is more modern on the inside and has wood floors everywhere which can lead to a bit of noise from people walking around. It’s about a 10-15 mins walk into centre of town. Simple rooms but with all the basics, powerful shower, firm comfortable bed and desk. Wonderful view from the 6th floor restaurant with a good breakfast bar selection. Staff friendly and helpful, excellent English spoken. Bike storage available if you are doing one of the cycle trips

The doppl bed are not comfortable. Its basically 2 single beds beside each other, so it would slips away from each other and make a crack in the middle 🤣

The hotel is located on a very prime location. Easily accessible by public transport fr the Central Station but you have a 15 min walk to reach there too. The view is amazing from the hotel room. Placed just near the city center so majority of the tourist places are located in the walkable distance. Clean room and friendly staffs. Definitely will book again when coming to Mainz.

A hotel with superb location if you want to enjoy the view of Rhine, clean and quiet. I celebrated my 2020 new year in this hotel, unforgettable memory! In the new year Eve, through the my room window, I watched fireworks show from both banks of the river. I also had a nice conversation with hotel staffs about Germany, and learned that this hotel is a more than 100 years old historical building!

Lovely hotel comfy bed, and breakfast was perfect tasty and plentiful.. Staff were welcoming and informative.. Plenty to do and see in and around.. One disappointment was the indoor pool was out of use Restaurant opposite recommended..

I was surprised by the room in the 60€ class enjoyable. In spite of aircraft noise, a quiet room, Santärbereich clean, non-calcified and hot water immediately. Bed was OK - I slept good. The Breakfast is a kritzeklein little expandable, but ok. A Sauna and a swimming pool I did not use because I was not prepared for it. A spontaneous booking was because another Hotel was überbbucht. So minimum level service in the room. Could be better if they preserved the water kettel for make tea.

The room was quite and well presented. Unfortunately there is no free wi-fi available (additional cost) but there is free sky TV with sport channels in each room which is great if you are a sports fan. Breakfast is also very good with a large selection of breads, cereals and meats.

The Hotel is recommended in order for a business trip in any case. Only the showers could use a little "refresher".

Spartan business hotel with friendly staff and nice breakfast. My room opened into a blah courtyard but was oh so quiet. Nice location on a treed street adjacent to the Bahnhofplatz and lots of transport. Convenient to FRA with a food store around the corner. Comfy bed.

It is in front of the train station and there are plenty of transportation around, so perfect location. Very clean, good bedsheets and pillow. Good breakfast. The best the staff. Very nice service, there is round-the-clock coffee and tea in the room, there is a 0.5 l bottle of water free of charge, free Wi-Fi and the best was when I travelled with my parents, we have a triple room booked but the operation has offered us, we get a two-bed room and a single room for the same price. Highly recommended. If we come to Mainz/Wiesbaden we are going to go there.

Very tasty, home-style dishes. The service is warm - friendly and has always been in a good mood. We also often get half a chicken for home, which always tastes very good. We have nothing to complain about. There are full and solid 5 stars for this. A real Mainz tip!

This hotel is brilliant. You catch a tram from the main station, and you can easily walk into the centre of town. There is also free parking. I was a single traveler in a single room and everything was fine. Nothing to complain about. Maybe that it's not very centric, but you can use the tram to quickly go to the center.

Great modern Hotel with very friendly staff. However, it is said, in the meantime, Guesthouse Mainz and not the Hotel Austria. The rooms are modern furnished, bright and beautifully cut. The house is centrally located in Mainz, Germany, (10 minutes walk to the main train station). Look forward to my next visit.

It is close enough to the centre and the room is comfortable. There is free wi-fi and free parking. In the hotel there is an Italian restaurant. The bathroom is large and comfortable.

The hotel is not wrong. Looks clean. The beds are reasonably well in a pit. The breakfast is good, everything is there.

The room was very spacious and windows could be opened for fresh air which was great. The bed was a nice size but the mattress was so soft and bouncy for my taste which made it less comfortable. The internet was terrible. The heater made a loud noise when turned up.

For value this is excellent, the price is low and includes breakfast and the room was large and clean. Perhaps not the most modern furnishings, but for me it was ok. The location is quiet and near lots of nice restaurants as well as being close to the station. I was late checking in but collecting the key was very easy and the owner was very fast to reply to all questions by email. I would stay again

If you are looking for an affordable place in Mainz, this is the place to go. Rooms are clean and have a spacious balcony to relax on after a busy day. Closeby tram can take you to the main train station and further on directly to the University. The new owner takes care of his guests.

Locates little off the downtown area of Mainz, but very close to the university campus and in a lush green and calm surroundings.

Nice place to stay in Bretzenheim. They serve a Continental Breakfast. The sauna is nice too. We use to get gummy bears when we arrived but we don't get them anymore, but they serve chocolate around Christmas.

The room was bright and clean with a functional layout and a comfortable bed. Excellent water pressure in the bath room. The staff was quite friendly and extremely helpful. Within easy walking distance of the Johannes Gutenberg University or the tram that takes one into Mainz city center.
