Mainz, Mombacher Straße 6 🧭 Map
Overall a nice stay, but a few things to note for first-timers! It was a bit confusing to find at first—it’s labeled as the niu on the outside, not Holiday Inn, so we didn’t realize we were at the right place right away. We arrived late, and parking was hard to come by, so plan to arrive earlier if you can. The room didn’t have a kitchenette, which we expected, and there wasn’t really anywhere to...
Nice good place for short stay. We were a family of four (2 adults and 2 kids). Had to take two rooms adjascent to each other. Neat rooms. Enough space (not like those botique hotels) and with lift access. Towels are provided. Rooms cleaned everyday. Bring your soap, tooth brush, paste etc. Good location too. You can get uber or taxi by apps below the hotel and walk to some supermarkets and ccentral...
Staff pleasant and friendly. Location OK, 1km+ from the station and start of the old town - this walk got a little tedious after a while. Room clean and largely sound proofed. The tiny, thin, single duvet was largely ineffective and did little to keep the body warm at night. The pillows were just as bad. I didn't eat breakfast here and was going to have an evening meal until I saw that the menu only...
We have stayed here for 1 week. Rooms are cleaned daily. Not that noisy from trains unless you have a window opened ( we had a room windows against offices and train rails) Very nice location - bus stops not so far away ( 5 minutes to bus stop and approx 11-13 min to main central station ) We had lunch included ( approx 17-18 euros per day for a person ) and it was very good too. Very satisfying...
the hotel itself is pretty cool. Unfortunately, even though I had the “do not disturb”-card in my handle, somebody just asked themselves in twice. Breakfast was pretty good, but unfortunately some dude gave me an attitude because I wanted some yoghurt an hour after leaving breakfast. Apparently the 12€ breakfast needs to be eaten in one sitting specifically. Weird. Also my room was right next to the...
I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights during a conference in the city. The hotel is nicely decorated, the breakfast is very varied and it is open for a long time in the mornings. I specially liked the lounge in the basement of the hotel where you can work, have some food (pizza or flam kuchen) and coffee or play kicker. The hotel has the downside that there are no desks in the bedroom and the wifi connection...

Clean rooms, good river view, polite und informative Staff! I was there for a workshop and I needed a good internet connection and as a matter of fact I thought with a hotel like this you get a connection automatically! But I was wrong.. it was a payed connection, between 14 to 25 Euros I think based on your speed.. that's something which could improve definitely!!
Great place to stay. Close to the river. Many places to go around the location. The Altstadt is behind the hotel. That means ,u have enough places to go for breakfast or lunch. There are also bars and party locations.
Limited parking - beware of that if you turn up at 1am. Generally the hotel is a standard Hilton, the rooms were OK but the mattress didn’t seem quite right in my room - a little firm? Breakfast is lovely especially when being able to sit outside. Overall a pretty good Hilton.
Comfy and clean. Well located. The buffet breakfast is too expensive, but there are tons of local bakeries you can hit instead.
The Hilton Mainz is located in a fantastic location, easy to get around the area, access to great walking and located central to Mainz. Unfortunately, the hotel has been under perpetual remodel for several years therefore rooms are all located across the road, accessed via skybridge and quite a long walk from the lobby and car park. Another consideration is that under quarantine, this hotel offers...
Carpets and furniture needs a deep clean. Stained and grubby. Fridges work poorly and the rooms are too hot. Windows open a crack which is not enough to cool the rooms. Staff try their best and are courteous.

Lovely hotel. Wonderful staff; you can taste in every dish the love that the chef and bartenders have for their jobs. Kind, friendly (by a southern American standard), and a refreshing focus on quality over quantity. It’s been a long time since I’ve felt so comfortable in any hotel space. Also, I have to mention the spa. I have a lot of influence in my life from American Southern Baptists, and she...
Nice location, just by the river Rhine, close to train station. Walk by the river, you can reach city center Cathedral. Rooms definitely could have been better, service is very good. Shout out to the room service dude Ibrahim! Reception, bar, restaurant stuffs were very nice too.
Gorgeous view from the room and fantastic hotel and staff! Location is very good as well as its right next to the Rhine river and a very short walk from Old Town. Only stayed here for one night, but really enjoyed the very comfortable room and the bar and restaurant was top notch!
We love staying at this hotel. Beautiful atmosphere location and vibe. One of my favorite things to do is walk the river Rhine early in the mornings. Great drinks also.
Very nice room, very quiet. Had a river view room which has a large window that opens for fresh air. The rooms are clean and all the amenities included. Staff were friendly throughout the hotel. Enjoyed our stay.
Wonderful service by staff. Truly enjoyed my birthday celebrations there. The breakfast there was incredible.

During my last stay I had a bad smell in room. It smelled of chlorine. The fries that came with my steak were extremeley salty. The biggest drawdown for me, however, was that there wasn't any real wholemeal bread.
Nice hotel for short stay. Good bed. Very kind and helpfull staff. Breakfast is excellent. Is about 3km from the city center.
Rooms need some airing out, or at least better carpet spray. Appeared clean. The conference area is very spacious and food was good. Just expensive...50 euro for a dinner! Breakfast buffet is always a super spread! Location...not much around there, but downtown is just a long walk...but doable.
The rooms is good Service in the restaurant is good but no brush or tissues or hair net The location is near to city center and bus station
My privacy had been invaded and I got double charged despite email confirming cancellation of a separate booking. Sorry Pentahotel, until you fix this, you guys really screwed up with simply privacy and payment arrangements. Otherwise, the hotel is actually quite nice; food and breakfast is decent as well. This is an old hotel. The rooms are old and very dusty. Bring a UV torch, the level of invisible stains on the bedroom carpet will make you feel sick. The bathroom is very basic, shower over the bath. There is no evening restaurant service. Staff are pleasant and helpful, and the location is very good, 10mins walk to central Mainz.
The hotel is well located near the city center, easy accessible from the local transport network. From the hotel you can easy reach the railway station for one day visit to Wiesbaden. The room is in very good conditions (except the well aged furniture), the bed is extremely comfortable, the bathroom with shower and WC is maintained clean by the cleaning personnel everyday. The breakfast includes a...
It was one of the nicest stay in Germany. They organized the room for us perfectly, mini bar and small gifts are very thoughtful. Thank you very much for the whole team. The room is spacious and the bed is very comfy! I could get a good sleep every night and they put the extra pillow on the top of the cupboard. You have everything you need, slipper, shampoo, condition, shower gel and body lotion....
It’s a classic hotel with clean rooms and just nice facilities. No gym but you can have a nice walk around the hotel, also get fresh air and nice photos. Breakfast is the same everyday so it’s up to you to pick different meals. Coffee is good and hotel also provide paper cup coffee for take away every morning. You will need to walk around to get some stuffs or get to the nearest stations, but it should...
Good hotel, good personnel, good breakfast. But feels overpriced considering the condition and technics in bathroom. I attach photo. To "catch" comfortable warm water is not easy. I recommend to install parking Apcoa-app in advance, of you are driving there. Then it costs 10 eur instead of 20 per 24 hours. If you install app just before entering parking - it does not work yet, you need special agreement...

Hotel for stopover from Germany to Belgium. Rooms and service are fine. Free parking under or next to hotel would be an added value.
Really nice front desk, cheap pizzas on order till ten. No ice at the front desk but very convenient from the main HBF, walking distance from the mainz nord train station on s8 (it comes to the first floor of the mainz hbf at track one, it is one stop and about four minutes
Splinter new hotel in a nice new neighbourhood west of the city centre on the river. Amenities in the vicinity and the centre a 20 minutes walk. Convenient parking opposite for a reasonable price, 10 Euro a day. Kind service and very good value for money. Pets admitted free of charge. The room is small but cleverly designed.
The hotel is wonderful. The room was clean and quiet. Daily cleaning and bath towels were changed. It is quite enough for two people. As a drawback, I can only point to the lack of a wardrobe and the sliding door of the bathroom and toilet, which does not provide enough privacy. The glass wall of the bathroom to the room is frosted and not a problem. Excellent room for this price. Paid parking...

It was clean and well looked after, even in times of Corona. What made it 5 stars for me was: we left a bottle of wine in the fridge by accident. A quick call and we have organized a way for it to return to us. Wonderful customer service.
Everything I needed for a short term stay I got here. Good place with nice staff. Asked for a higher room for a better city view - got it! Definitely recommend!
We really liked this place. A kettle, a fridge, a very clean bathroom, clean room with comfortable beds, not noisy despite being next to the train line and a motorway. And a very decent receptionist, with humanity and manners. Thanks for a good stay!
Friendly staff, good breakfast. Quiet and clean room despite road very close. Good connection for public transportation
Das Hotel liegt direkt am Mainzer Hauptbahnhof und sehr schnell und gut erreichbar. Das Personal ist äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer sind sauber und verfügen über einen sehr guten Standard.

Hotel has a good location, however rooms and decor are a bit outdated, for which a renovation is planned in 2022. Besides that breakfast good and with broad choice. The staff is friendly and engaged to make customer happy.
It was an ok stay. The hotel is in the center of town by the park and not too far from the river. I had a big double room, bathroom a bit small, a tub so that was nice. Matress was a bit too soft so I didn't sleep to well. The Front desk/reception was nice and helpful and breakfast was ok, pretty standard. We were a large group and not everybody had a good stay. The receptionists are allways hidden behind the desk and you just wish to be greeted. Breakfast is poor. Very few vegetables and fruits.
Good hotel with great breakfast but depending on the room you know that this is one of the older hotels in the area. Not so good in summer due to the lack of air conditioning.
The hotel is near the train station. The single rooms are small and need renovation. The flat TV-set is new, but the refrigerator is not working. The free wifi needs extra registration and the coverige is poor and absent in the rooms. There is no air conditioning and it is hot inside. The bathroom was newly refurbished. The breakfast is very good and starts 6.30 to 10.30 daily.
Very well located, the rooms are vieillotes but spacious. The bathroom large and very nice. Wi-fi way on the top floor. Staff top and very welcoming. Breakfast hearty and good. Good hotel in general.

The room is not too big, but it's well noise insulated, the bed was good and the mattress of good quality. Amazed by the breakfast, lot of options, super good quality, taking in mind the poor European standard for breakfast, they're very well above.

Great location, plenty of parking. Very welcoming staff, cozy rooms with a wonderfully soothing color and furniture theme! Easy access showers! Free/Wild parrots :-D A shopping mall is just across the street

The bed could have been a bit more comfortable - but the breakfast was very delicious with a huge variety of cereals, buns and eggs.
Attentive staff and good breakfast take the edge off an otherwise unsatisfactory experience. They're doing the best with what they have, and should be commended, but the decor is shabby and could do with modernising.
At the airport a little. Fell but near the small airport there planes. Noise. But the price is quiet and facilities Good
Real insider tip, if you do not have to be in the city centre. Extremely good price-performance ratio
Spacious and clean rooms equipped with air conditioning. peaceful location 10 minutes drive to the city center. Very from knitted breakfast.
Very nice service, there is round-the-clock coffee and tea in the room, there is a 0.5 l bottle of water free of charge, free Wi-Fi and the best was when I travelled with my parents, we have a triple room booked but the operation has offered us, we get a two-bed room and a single room for the same price. Hotel and rooms were good and spacious. Hotel restaurant was disappointing, service was terrible and we had to eventually approach the bar to understand if there was perhaps no table service. Clean and functional. Had a fine stay here for a few nights. No complaints. Breakfast buffet was well stocked and no very busy outside of peak business hours. Lifts are slow so be prepared to walk a few flights of stairs to the rooms.
Stayed here on a too and fro from Nuremberg. just a quick couple of overnights. The room was very spacious and windows could be opened for fresh air which was great. The bed was a nice size but the mattress was so soft and bouncy for my taste which made it less comfortable. The internet was terrible. The heater made a loud noise when turned up.
The staffs are so friendly and helpful. The room was exceptional cozy. I slept well every night. Breakfast was simple but ok. There is a hair dryer, and a small fridge. No minibar. The bathroom was totally clean. I had a great time there. Well, just only the location is not prime but still in walkable distance.
For value this is excellent, the price is low and includes breakfast and the room was large and clean. Perhaps not the most modern furnishings, but for me it was ok. The location is quiet and near lots of nice restaurants as well as being close to the station. I was late checking in but collecting the key was very easy and the owner was very fast to reply to all questions by email. I would stay again

The Hotel is very central, close to a shopping center (Malakoff-Passage) and has very helpful staff. I had left a laundry bag full of shirts at the hotel. This was sent to me immediately at the house's expense. The staff is also otherwise very helpful! Elsewise it's very good value for money. The breakfast is quite nice, but nothing special.

Clean room, newly decorated. Matrasses also new and because of that too firm at the moment. Breakfast was really good and we enjoined very much. The address and how to get to the parking could be better.
Good basic hotel with clean sheets and bathroom. The hotel is older and the furniture and carpets could stand to be updated. The price point makes it a fantastic choice if you are on a tight budget. The hotel staff were fantastic as well and were friendly and professional even though we could not speak German (English Speaking).
clean and I like the electronic check-in process. However, my window was towards a large road so not really quiet.
