the niu Mood Hotel, Mainz1 / 16

Mainz, Mombacher Straße 6 🧭 Map
Overall a nice stay, but a few things to note for first-timers! It was a bit confusing to find at first—it’s labeled as the niu on the outside, not Holiday Inn, so we didn’t realize we were at the right place right away. We arrived late, and parking was hard to come by, so plan to arrive earlier if you can. The room didn’t have a kitchenette, which we expected, and there wasn’t really anywhere to...
Nice good place for short stay. We were a family of four (2 adults and 2 kids). Had to take two rooms adjascent to each other. Neat rooms. Enough space (not like those botique hotels) and with lift access. Towels are provided. Rooms cleaned everyday. Bring your soap, tooth brush, paste etc. Good location too. You can get uber or taxi by apps below the hotel and walk to some supermarkets and ccentral...
Staff pleasant and friendly. Location OK, 1km+ from the station and start of the old town - this walk got a little tedious after a while. Room clean and largely sound proofed. The tiny, thin, single duvet was largely ineffective and did little to keep the body warm at night. The pillows were just as bad. I didn't eat breakfast here and was going to have an evening meal until I saw that the menu only...
We have stayed here for 1 week. Rooms are cleaned daily. Not that noisy from trains unless you have a window opened ( we had a room windows against offices and train rails) Very nice location - bus stops not so far away ( 5 minutes to bus stop and approx 11-13 min to main central station ) We had lunch included ( approx 17-18 euros per day for a person ) and it was very good too. Very satisfying...
the hotel itself is pretty cool. Unfortunately, even though I had the “do not disturb”-card in my handle, somebody just asked themselves in twice. Breakfast was pretty good, but unfortunately some dude gave me an attitude because I wanted some yoghurt an hour after leaving breakfast. Apparently the 12€ breakfast needs to be eaten in one sitting specifically. Weird. Also my room was right next to the...

Lovely hotel. Wonderful staff; you can taste in every dish the love that the chef and bartenders have for their jobs. Kind, friendly (by a southern American standard), and a refreshing focus on quality over quantity. It’s been a long time since I’ve felt so comfortable in any hotel space. Also, I have to mention the spa. I have a lot of influence in my life from American Southern Baptists, and she...
Nice location, just by the river Rhine, close to train station. Walk by the river, you can reach city center Cathedral. Rooms definitely could have been better, service is very good. Shout out to the room service dude Ibrahim! Reception, bar, restaurant stuffs were very nice too.
Gorgeous view from the room and fantastic hotel and staff! Location is very good as well as its right next to the Rhine river and a very short walk from Old Town. Only stayed here for one night, but really enjoyed the very comfortable room and the bar and restaurant was top notch!
We love staying at this hotel. Beautiful atmosphere location and vibe. One of my favorite things to do is walk the river Rhine early in the mornings. Great drinks also.
Very nice room, very quiet. Had a river view room which has a large window that opens for fresh air. The rooms are clean and all the amenities included. Staff were friendly throughout the hotel. Enjoyed our stay.
Wonderful service by staff. Truly enjoyed my birthday celebrations there. The breakfast there was incredible.

Great location and lovely breakfast by the river, will definitely come back!
This hotel has for sure the nicest view in Mainz, and only a few minutes from the city center. Just be aware that the rooms with view to the Rhein-river obviously have different categories, hence prices, to avoid being disappointed.
Convenient excellent hotel. Fantastic breakfast. Rooms are perfect. Highly recommend.
Very nice location - it is easy to reach the sights of Mainz and also to have a stroll along the river. During my stay there was some construction, that was not very pleasant. Also, make sure you are staying in the main building, or you will have to walk a long way with luggage... and help was not offered, although I had 2 suitcases. European hotel rooms tend to be small and drab - that was the case...

Although we only stayed here for a night, it's the best stay ever from the service, design and comfort of the hotel. Strongly recommended to anyone who visits Wisbaden.
Only for overnight stay & had to leave early without breakfast. The blankets & pillows are comfortable
One of the best restaurants in my opinion.

Hotel for stopover from Germany to Belgium. Rooms and service are fine. Free parking under or next to hotel would be an added value.
Really nice front desk, cheap pizzas on order till ten. No ice at the front desk but very convenient from the main HBF, walking distance from the mainz nord train station on s8 (it comes to the first floor of the mainz hbf at track one, it is one stop and about four minutes
Splinter new hotel in a nice new neighbourhood west of the city centre on the river. Amenities in the vicinity and the centre a 20 minutes walk. Convenient parking opposite for a reasonable price, 10 Euro a day. Kind service and very good value for money. Pets admitted free of charge. The room is small but cleverly designed.
The hotel is wonderful. The room was clean and quiet. Daily cleaning and bath towels were changed. It is quite enough for two people. As a drawback, I can only point to the lack of a wardrobe and the sliding door of the bathroom and toilet, which does not provide enough privacy. The glass wall of the bathroom to the room is frosted and not a problem. Excellent room for this price. Paid parking...
Nice hotel with cool green white coloured interior in the room.
Clean, friendly business hotel. Not super central but definitely a great place to be when zollhafen construction has made progress

We stayed at the Atrium Hotel for 3 days, on the first evening we had a wonderful 3 course menu in the restaurant, which was freshly prepared. It was delicious! Thanks to the kitchen. The service at the hotel is very attentive and polite. If there were any problems, they were solved directly in the interests of the guest. We were very comfortable. The only thing we had to complain about was the temperature...
We had a wonderful time in a wonderful room! The service was impeccable all round. Our waitress (Mr L. Tom) tried very hard and really made for a memorable evening. Many thanks again to this special team. We will definitely be back.
Great breakfast, modern rooms, we felt completely at ease!
We had a great time at the Atrium Hotel! The staff are very friendly and accommodating, they don't seem at all fake. Pure well-being, the rooms are stylishly furnished, of course clean, which is to be expected in this beautifully furnished hotel. A beautiful spa area invites you to relax. The perfectly mixed cocktails are also worth mentioning... we haven't had such delicious cocktails in a...
We have danced at many weddings and can say that you will find the perfect wedding venue here. Professional service coupled with excellent room separation and the ability to go straight to bed after the party is simply wonderful. Our DJ Dominic is full of enthusiasm and is looking forward to the nightly parties at the Atrium Hotel.
We stayed at the Atrium Hotel for one night because we were visiting nearby and just wanted a break from everyday life. The stay was truly great! We particularly enjoyed the beautiful wellness area, where you can take advantage of great offers such as the sauna, infrared cabin and adventure shower despite Corona regulations, as well as the swimming pool with adjacent outdoor seating area. I had an absolutely incredible stay at this hotel! There was nothing I didn’t love about it. The room was so spacious and clean, and it had everything I needed to make myself feel right at home. Booked at short notice and it's surprisingly nice and modern hotel for the price. Everything appears to be recently refurbished. No problems checking in late at night. Didn't try the breakfast and only stayed one night, so can't comment on the other facilities. Not super central but reachable with public transport or Uber from the city centre and from Erbenheim. Great hotel for working for the R&V :-). Great lobby with the bar next to the reception. Parking fee is a bit high. Nice rooms
Having stayed here several times, the hotel suits all requirements. Good location, gym for the energetic types and differ meeting and conference facilities.
Very clean, very comfortable bed, and the breakfast selection was great! I stayed for one night for a business trip and haven't heard of Penta Hotels before. I came here because of a recommendation and I'd definitely come back. The breakfast had a great selection and great veggie options!

A pleasant hotel, not too far from the main square.
The front desk service is very good and can meet some needs. They are very enthusiastic to provide hot water for instant noodles. Haha
Good location. Staff is ok. Rooms are small and not very nice, but they are clean. Beds are comfortable. No fridge. No safe. Noisy ventilation system in the bathroom that cannot be turned off. Convenient garage. Too expensive for the quality but you pay for the good location.
Good location, near all points of interest. Easy walk to train station. Clean room, very nice snd friendly front desk host. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area.
The Hotel is very central, close to a shopping center (Malakoff-Passage) and has very helpful staff. I had left a laundry bag full of shirts at the hotel. This was sent to me immediately at the house's expense. The staff is also otherwise very helpful! Elsewise it's very good value for money. The breakfast is quite nice, but nothing special.
If you don't have any other option (as in my case), you can choose this hotel. Pretty hard to communicate in English. But they try. The room is pretty small, but clean. The bathroom is very small, very uncomfortable to take a shower. The breakfast gives you very few options. There is an underground parking, very expensive one.

Very tasty, home-style dishes. The service is warm - friendly and has always been in a good mood. We also often get half a chicken for home, which always tastes very good. We have nothing to complain about. There are full and solid 5 stars for this. A real Mainz tip!
The hotel is ok, cleanliness is important. The breakfasts could only be a little richer. I miss a regular tomato and possibly a small coffee croissant. The rest of the stuff is ok.
The restaurant is generally nice. Staff is relevant and polite. But I didn't like the portions of the food.

The hotel is well located near the city center, easy accessible from the local transport network. From the hotel you can easy reach the railway station for one day visit to Wiesbaden. It was one of the nicest stay in Germany. They organized the room for us perfectly, mini bar and small gifts are very thoughtful. Thank you very much for the whole team. The hotel is located within a 15-min leisurely walk to a train station and a 10-min walk to a bus stop. Although he hotel itself is rather spacious and with a large number of rooms, it felt as if whatever few guests were in the hotel, they had all been accommodated next to each other. This unfortunately meant that I struggled to fall asleep at night as the next room guests had late night conversations...
A bit of an awkward location in the city. The room was clean.
I had a comfortable experience. The room was clear, comfortable, and quiet. The staff and services were great.
The Best Western is a pretty standard mega-chain hotel. The staff are professional and speak English well. The rooms are pretty standard and the beds comfortable. It is around 12 minutes walk uphill from the train station, but that's the only negative point.
Best Western Hotel Mainz is a fine hotel. It is located on the outskirts of the city and offers comfortable rooms. We visited this hotel on our return journey from Austria and booked a room for three adults. We had a spacious room with a seating area that was used as an extra bed however. In fact, this room was a small apartment with a kitchen block. The bed was excellent but a bit hard. There is...

Stayed for one night while doing the Rhine cycle route. Staff were very welcoming at check in and my bike was locked in a separate part of the hotel overnight. Room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel is more modern on the inside and has wood floors everywhere which can lead to a bit of noise from people walking around. It’s about a 10-15 mins walk into centre of town. Overall a good stay
Simple rooms but with all the basics, powerful shower, firm comfortable bed and desk. Wonderful view from the 6th floor restaurant with a good breakfast bar selection. Staff friendly and helpful, excellent English spoken. Bike storage available if you are doing one of the cycle trips
The doppl bed are not comfortable. Its basically 2 single beds beside each other, so it would slips away from each other and make a crack in the middle 🤣
The hotel is located on a very prime location. Easily accessible by public transport fr the Central Station but you have a 15 min walk to reach there too. The view is amazing from the hotel room. Placed just near the city center so majority of the tourist places are located in the walkable distance. Clean room and friendly staffs. Definitely will book again when coming to Mainz.

Close to main train station - but that comes with the noise in the late evening, unfortunately. Bed is not a large single bed, it's two beds connected - not very comfortable. Over my 5-day stay, bed linen nor towels were not changed (other hotels change every 3 days).
Average hotel. Room was clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Average breakfast. Sour milk on first morning which I informed staff and it was replaced immediately with apology.
