Great location and lovely breakfast by the river, will definitely come back!

This hotel has for sure the nicest view in Mainz, and only a few minutes from the city center. Just be aware that the rooms with view to the Rhein-river obviously have different categories, hence prices, to avoid being disappointed.

Very nice location - it is easy to reach the sights of Mainz and also to have a stroll along the river. During my stay there was some construction, that was not very pleasant. Also, make sure you are staying in the main building, or you will have to walk a long way with luggage... and help was not offered, although I had 2 suitcases. European hotel rooms tend to be small and drab - that was the case...

We have danced at many weddings and can say that you will find the perfect wedding venue here. Professional service coupled with excellent room separation and the ability to go straight to bed after the party is simply wonderful. Booked at short notice and it's surprisingly nice and modern hotel for the price. Everything appears to be recently refurbished. No problems checking in late at night. This is an old hotel. The rooms are old and very dusty. Bring a UV torch, the level of invisible stains on the bedroom carpet will make you feel sick. The bathroom is very basic, shower over the bath. There is no evening restaurant service. Staff are pleasant and helpful, and the location is very good, 10mins walk to central Mainz.

It’s a classic hotel with clean rooms and just nice facilities. No gym but you can have a nice walk around the hotel, also get fresh air and nice photos. The environment is good, the room is spacious, but the gym facilities are not good

It was clean and well looked after, even in times of Corona. What made it 5 stars for me was: we left a bottle of wine in the fridge by accident. A quick call and we have organized a way for it to return to us. Wonderful customer service.

Nice place to stay when in Mainz. Within walking distance of the train station and city centre. We left an Ereader in the room after checking out, which was found and will be sent to our home address. Great service!

The hotel is located within a 15-min leisurely walk to a train station and a 10-min walk to a bus stop. Although he hotel itself is rather spacious and with a large number of rooms, it felt as if whatever few guests were in the hotel, they had all been accommodated next to each other. Nice Hotel and Staff, good location. Only complaint is that the room was very hot. During the winter months, the heat is on. The windows only open slightly so there isn't any fresh air circulating through the room. They offer fans but it still made sleeping uncomfortable.

It is not fair to expect high service Standards in Germany. Service is not in their culture guide. Front office was good but not friendly at all. We just came from long journey and tired. Waited for 30mnts for check in with only 1 receptionist. Once we got into the room, its very old. Thin pillow. Stain in carpet and sofa. They really need to keep up. Despite all of those, its in good location. Warm ambience and nice customer service
