The hotel is located within a 15-min leisurely walk to a train station and a 10-min walk to a bus stop. Although he hotel itself is rather spacious and with a large number of rooms, it felt as if whatever few guests were in the hotel, they had all been accommodated next to each other. The Best Western is a pretty standard mega-chain hotel. The staff are professional and speak English well. The rooms are pretty standard and the beds comfortable. It is around 12 minutes walk uphill from the train station, but that's the only negative point.

Some may call the hotel quaint, but that is part of its charm. My room was more spacious than expected and rather cozy. The bed, reassuringly modern, was very comfortable. The bathroom provided all the necessary amenities. The staff was generally very helpful and professional, pleasantly so. Altogether a very positive experience.

Perfect location in close walking distance to the Castle. Nice room with balcony and beautiful view over the Rhine. Exhaustive breakfast for 17 €: well worth the money, if you like big breakfasts... We'll be happy to come back soon.

All in all a good place to stay. A quirky policy of requiring a 10 euro security deposit to borrow their umbrella. It seems to me that they should let you borrow it and and charge the fee if you fail to return the umbrella or damage it somehow the staff was friendly and willing to help

The hotel is a little bit creepy. They have an underground floor but the elevator button at the underground floor didn't work at all. I waited for ten minutes like an *****. Breakfast was decent though. The Viet food around the corner was great

The location is amazing soon as you get off your train at the Mainz central station it’s right there and there’s plenty of taxis if you need one and plenty of good restaurants. Rooms to small, bathroom extreme small

The hotel is clean and suitable for rest. The downside is that there are limited buses to Mainz, making transportation a bit challenging.

Having booked this via Booking dot com I then read some of the Google reviews which were confusing as there seemed to be 2 different hotels being described. Good clean hotel, in a residential area about 15-20 minute walk from the main square in Mainz. Balcony was a bonus - and being near to a supermarket was good too. Staff were friendly. Rooms are really clean and good size. Breakfast was average but enough available to start the day in a good way. Would recommend

The location is very central. I was able to check in at any time; I used the contactless check-in after reception opened. Shopping and restaurants are within walking distance. One small drawback is that there was no air conditioning and the fan didn't work. I would avoid the hotel during the height of summer, but otherwise I would be happy to stay there again.

Since the hotel I was staying at was full, I booked this hotel for my daughter because it was only a few minutes away from our hotel. Family friendly We have two kids and it was a perfect size for us. The bunk bed is comfortable as well as our bed. The water is warm as soon as you turn it on. The breakfast is surcharge but it was all worth it. My favorite part is the unlimited coffee and the cheese 😋. Friendly staffs.

A B&B hotel with a slightly bigger family room than we experienced at other locations. Used as stopover location as easily accessible from motorway. Located in an industrial area with only a Subway and garage nearby for food, although we didn't use either. Room clean and well laid out with bunk beds and air con as usual in B&B family room.
