Best Western Hotel Mainz, Mainz1 / 32

Mainz, Wallstraße 56 🧭 Map
The hotel is located within a 15-min leisurely walk to a train station and a 10-min walk to a bus stop. Although he hotel itself is rather spacious and with a large number of rooms, it felt as if whatever few guests were in the hotel, they had all been accommodated next to each other. This unfortunately meant that I struggled to fall asleep at night as the next room guests had late night conversations...
A bit of an awkward location in the city. The room was clean.
I had a comfortable experience. The room was clear, comfortable, and quiet. The staff and services were great.
The Best Western is a pretty standard mega-chain hotel. The staff are professional and speak English well. The rooms are pretty standard and the beds comfortable. It is around 12 minutes walk uphill from the train station, but that's the only negative point.
Best Western Hotel Mainz is a fine hotel. It is located on the outskirts of the city and offers comfortable rooms. We visited this hotel on our return journey from Austria and booked a room for three adults. We had a spacious room with a seating area that was used as an extra bed however. In fact, this room was a small apartment with a kitchen block. The bed was excellent but a bit hard. There is...
Some may call the hotel quaint, but that is part of its charm. My room was more spacious than expected and rather cozy. The bed, reassuringly modern, was very comfortable. The bathroom provided all the necessary amenities. The staff was generally very helpful and professional, pleasantly so. Altogether a very positive experience.

Lovely hotel with all the amenities and modern comforts, close to public transport going to centre (6 minutes but tram to Schillerplatz)
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Beautiful hotel rooms and a very good breakfast. Thank you for the wonderful stay!
I had a pleasant experience. The location was perfect for my purposes, and the staff was helpful. The accommodations are simple, but everything is there, new and clean, and there is enough room to spread out on the desk for work.
Good hotel, clean rooms! Liked Nespresso machines in the room but only 2 pods for 2 days. Pillows too worn out
Property was conveniently located for my job. Was within easy walking distance of downtown and also right off of a tram stop. Breakfast was average. Rooms were comfortable but largely forgettable in terms of furnishings/art. Front desk staff were generally helpful ACCEPT for the lady who checked me in. I don't speak German and she seemed to go out of her way to not make an effort to help me complete...
towel rail needed in the bathroom, no coffee or tea, no fridge, but nice room and bathroom facilities. Its a shame no restaurant on site even if simply fair after you have been traveling.

A great location for budget travelers! Only steps from the Bahnhof and then from the rest of a very friendly city. Be careful you could easily walk past the entrance. With several restaurants and shops near. It's conveniently located so that you are a short walk from all the seasonal event that Mainz has! Making it my first thought when I'm in Mainz.
It is close enough to the centre and the room is comfortable. There is free wi-fi and free parking. In the hotel there is an Italian restaurant. The bathroom is large and comfortable.
Rooms large, staff very friendly. The Breakfast could offer more selection, but it is okay. To recommend very much!
The hotel is not wrong. Looks clean. The beds are reasonably well in a pit. The breakfast is good, everything is there.

Very tasty, home-style dishes. The service is warm - friendly and has always been in a good mood. We also often get half a chicken for home, which always tastes very good. We have nothing to complain about. There are full and solid 5 stars for this. A real Mainz tip!
The hotel is ok, cleanliness is important. The breakfasts could only be a little richer. I miss a regular tomato and possibly a small coffee croissant. The rest of the stuff is ok.
The restaurant is generally nice. Staff is relevant and polite. But I didn't like the portions of the food.
Excellent service and food. Highly recommend.

When we arrived in Mainz we took a cab (13.20E) to the Erbacher Hof (hotel) and checked in. Our room was on the third floor and we had single twin beds (that is all they have). The bathroom was a nice size with a walk-in shower, although not very big. Squeeze, wall mounted soap dispensers on the wall only. There was no night light so it was difficult to use the bathroom in the middle of the night...
Clean comfortable room. Provided fan was all we needed to stay cool. Smoke detector was chirping when we arrived in the room, but the front desk fixed it while we went out to dinner. Breakfast was very good. Lots of choices.
We stayed in this hotel on 18th May. It was situated right in the centre of Mainz, where you want to be. Our quiet room overlooked The Dom, with its beautiful red brick spire. Our booking included breakfast which was epic: everything beautifully prepared with professional attentiveness. The attached garage was underground and secure. Although the email stressed that a place couldn’t be guaranteed,...
Absolutely delightful stay at Erbacher Hof! Impeccably clean rooms, charming ambiance, and an outstanding breakfast spread that exceeded expectations. The nighttime view from the balcony was unparalleled. Friends on the trip stayed at another hotel, and I saved over 150 Euro for the night by staying here. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making the experience truly memorable. Highly...
Very enjoyable visit to Catholic-run facility. Immaculately clean and comfortable. Large room and nice breakfast in the center of the city. Excellent value for money. We have stayed here before and will probably come back.
Highly recommend this Mainz hotel! The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was wonderful with a nice variety of hot and cold foods. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Parking was easy and affordable. The location is close to shops and restaurants. I requested a cathedral view for my room and the view from my window could not have been more perfect!

The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good with many options.
I was looking for a hotel in Wiesbaden for a conference and found a place to stay for two nights. The room's furnishings were functional, but could use a more modern touch. Unfortunately, my room was on the ground floor (street side) opposite the reception, which made it a bit noisy. The breakfast was good, and the bus connection to the city center worked well. Overall, the price-performance ratio...
Wonderful location right next to the beautiful park and the castle. Awesome for a nice walk any time of the day all the way down to the rive. Quaint restaurants down the road. Service is very good. Room and breakfast are very good for that price level.
Average hotel near the beautiful park. Rooms were quite small but usable. The equipment is already a bit used. Breakfast was fine, what you would expect.
we enjoyed a perfect stay friendly and helpful staff good break fast
The only thing that was a bit difficult and not so pleasant was that the toilet (I was on the 3rd floor) didn't flush properly and it took about 5-6 times to flush the big business away.

Visitors must try the food here. Based on the classic hamburger I had, I can definitely say the other items would be great as well :)
Overall, a good choice. Room clean but dated. Onsite restaurant was good. Parking on site.
Just been there! Food: 5 stars! Service: 5 stars! ... With that I could actually end my review, because for me the 5 stars are already fixed. But due to the currently extremely difficult times - especially for the catering industry, I would like to emphasize once again very explicitly that the - officially prescribed !! - Corona protection requirements - are implemented here both carefully and charmingly...

I had a fantastic stay at the AC Hotel Mainz. The room was spacious, comfortable, and well-designed, with plenty of storage and a great layout. The air conditioning worked perfectly—especially appreciated during the warm weather—and the in-room refrigerator was a convenient touch. Stayed in room 501 at the top. One of the highlights of my stay was dining at the Adam & Eve restaurant. The staff there...
This was very convenient to the train station. The restaurant was wonderful. Great Tapas. Everyone was very friendly. Our only negative is it was listed as having laundry services but we found it not to be available on a weekend. There is a self service laundry about a block away.
Fantastic experience. The hotel doesn't look like much from the busy street, but once inside it is a great little hotel. I was in Mainz for work with several others, and it was a great central location near the train station with direct lines to FRA. The amenities were not luxury, but everything was very well attended to. My room was on the second floor overlooking the square out front. The room was...
While my stay was pleasant overall, I did experience some noise from neighboring rooms at night. It seemed the doors closing were quite loud. Perhaps a modification to the door closures could help mitigate this.
The bathroom seemed updated, very functional, decor really nice. But found the lack of towel bars an inconvenience. The choice to hand wet towels was either over the shower door, over the hair dryer on wall or on bathroom door handles, not very convenient. The hand soap bar way to strong perfumery....reminded me of mens after shave..
No Marriott rewards if you book here Nearly annoyed that I could not get reward points and the room was not cleaned once after reception promised 1 clean each 3 days

Monkish quarters Although it was not expensive, I chose what I thought to be the best hotel in Budenheim. The front desk was friendly, however there are no house phones to reach anyone if you need anything. The accommodations were spartan--the rooms monkish and small. The duvet (there was only one) was thin with no way to ask for more. There was no refrigerator and the bathrooms were tiny and offered...
Perfect little low-key hotel! The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating (they even personally made me breakfast when no one else was there). I would highly recommend if you want to get away from loud city life and just enjoy the quiet comforts of a small town.

The Hilton bartender are super friendly and willing to take care of you. Highly recommend coming down to the bar and grabbing a drink after a long day of travel or work. :)
Nice Hotel and Staff, good location. Only complaint is that the room was very hot. During the winter months, the heat is on. The windows only open slightly so there isn't any fresh air circulating through the room. They offer fans but it still made sleeping uncomfortable.
GREAT hotel in old Town. Breakfast was a total feast. Great service by the front desk also. They took care of ordering the taxi to the airport the night before we left & it arrived 5 min early. Will stay here again! Thank you Hilton Mainz City!
It is not fair to expect high service Standards in Germany. Service is not in their culture guide. Front office was good but not friendly at all. They try to give you a goodie bag up on arrival as a nice gesture to the hotel guest. Hotel is dark indoor and outdoor. I checked in my room that has limited TV Channels, may be only one English channel. which is a poor feature in a Hilton Hotel. I did not...
Incredible experience, I felt like in home. people from room services they always do a great job, people in front desk was lovely always with a big smile and totally helpful, but for me the best part was during the breakfast time, special thanks for the chef and staff amazing food preparation and presentation, finally Münire thanks for be my friend, for our short but nice conversation in the mornings...
We just came from long journey and tired. Waited for 30mnts for check in with only 1 receptionist. Once we got into the room, its very old. Thin pillow. Stain in carpet and sofa. They really need to keep up. Despite all of those, its in good location. Warm ambience and nice customer service

It is a little bit old style and kind of retro feeling, but it is absolutely worth the money.
This place is absolutely amazing, it is easily reachable and quiet and from here you can easily visit the wine region. The staff are easygoing and shares useful tips with the visitors.
Very friendly staff, super helpful. Good connection to the city center. Hotel is bit old. No elevator.
Not sparkling clean, but very good for the price. 53€ per night for a double room. The reception was friendly. And quiet room and area.
Always enjoy our stay here, spacious rooms and powerful showers. Very kind and helpful staff.

Mainz stay This hotel was amazing. In a great location, close to the train/bus station. The staff was amazing! Couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Breakfast was amazing. Great hotel, Nice room and very convenient, Helpful friendly staff
Business stay Good for business stay for 2 night or so. Right opposite mainz station . Very easy walk of 100m . Also all trams / buses . 50m away .
The room was great, service was excellent but the fact that the elevator wasn’t working and we were on the 4th floor was a bit of a challenge! Since the elevator hasn’t been working for over 4 months it would have been nice to have been given a heads up!
It's not fancy or the best facilities, but if you want a large room that is hard to find in Europe, this is the place. You can meet a very friendly front desk. It's a good value hotel that I would 100% recommend.
This is a nice hotel Within a very short walk from the train station. We stayed for two nights and it offered a clean, comfortable room, adequate for recovery from a long trip abroad before continuing our final journey home. It is also an easy walk to Mainz old town. its a very nice clean hotel , nice people
Functional and friendly service. Rooms are spacious, toilets and shower cramped, but work for the purpose. Offer basic breakfast, which can be a good start for the day. Ok beds, pillows can be better. The king room has a double bed, not king size bed. No conditioners available.

Pleasant location, friendly staff, good parking I stayed five nights and would book again. The location is very pleasant and safe, in a residential area. The hotel is rather short staffed, but they...
The breakfast was good and the coffee machine was a nice addition. The refrigerator in the room was not functioning. Unfortunately patrons smoked just outside the entrance. Close to a bus stop making it comvenient.
Nice, clean and calm hotel in walking distance to university. I enjoyed my stay.
Next to the university.. Very practical
Nice, spacious clean room, but nobody there The room was nice and spacious. Clean. The problem is that there was nobody at the reception in the evening when I arrived around 6.3pm and my phone could not connect so I had to ask people to call for me. In the end a letter was left outside for me but I wasn't warned.
I had a Comfort Single Room. It was clean and practically furnished. Overall, you can tell the hotel is showing its age. The staff was friendly, but understaffed. The restaurant was closed, and the reception was only open part-time. No daily room cleaning. Good breakfast. Good transport links. Suitable for a short trip. 3-star hotel.

Good clean hotel, in a residential area about 15-20 minute walk from the main square in Mainz. Balcony was a bonus - and being near to a supermarket was good too. Staff were friendly. Rooms are really clean and good size. Breakfast was average but enough available to start the day in a good way. Would recommend
The location is very central. I was able to check in at any time; I used the contactless check-in after reception opened. Shopping and restaurants are within walking distance. One small drawback is that there was no air conditioning and the fan didn't work. I would avoid the hotel during the height of summer, but otherwise I would be happy to stay there again.
Really great budget hotel! Within walking distance of everything you could want to see in Mainz and very friendly staff. Would recommend.
Since the hotel I was staying at was full, I booked this hotel for my daughter because it was only a few minutes away from our hotel. The only thing I have to complain about is that the window, when tilted, was tilted towards you because the hinges were broken. The train station is about a 10-minute walk. There are also many restaurants and shops, such as a Rewe supermarket, nearby. Mainz city center...
