Crowne Plaza Dusseldorf - Neuss, ein IHG Hotel

Very disappointed for the services received. Booked 2 rooms for 3 people and the reception mixed the names when registering us. As a result, when going to breakfast they couldn’t find us, even if we requested breakfast in advance. So when doing the check out we had to clarify it and because english is not a common language for the reception, was hard to find a way fast. However, with help we had clarified it and got the correct invoice. But to my surprise, after checking out, we got another amount blocked on my credit card that they couldn’t explain. After several emails explaining it and the invoices reshared, this was still not solved, as they are not answering in english. So take very much attention on your charges and try avoiding the hotel if you are not fluent in german

Very bad service i came for 2 days and asked how it worked for parking. I parked a couple hours in there parking to bring inside my stuff and then asked the workers that there is free parking just 10 meters outside the hotel if it matters that i go there instead of paying 24€ they said no problem we won’t charge your card for the parking i thanked them en they just laughed after i went on. 2 days after i left the hotel they took 48€ of my bank account??? I sent a couple mails first mails they said that indeed they were not going to charge my card and then i asked alright you said it again in the email give me then back my 48 euro now 3 weeks later i still haven’t received nothing!
Go to another hotel if you want a fair place to stay!

- not very clean as brand a 4 star hotel.
- full of dust, hair strains, pubic hairs…..
- under the bed, is like dust collection
- windows: if heavy rain, you will see flood in room
- no ventilation
- if not for IHG, I won’t book this hotel.

WONT BE BACK AGAIN

The experience was not good at all. Initially, the appointment booked at the end of the year was cancelled. The reason was that all employees were on vacation, and therefore the appointment was changed to another day. The employee at the restaurant was also asked about the possibility of a discount for IHG card holders. Yes, a 30% discount is possible, but when we arrived at the hotel, we found only one person working at the bar. When we started placing orders, I asked him about the discount, and he replied that I must go to the reception, and at the reception the employee informed us. The discount is only for hotel guests and not for Ihg Platinum Elite card holders. Then we decided to leave the restaurant, my family and I, and we did not want to stay. It is clear that we were treated based on our appearance and clothing. Because it was completely clear in the phone call that I could get the discount, and I told them that I would come with my family and that I was not a hotel guest, and I asked the hotel management to review the phone calls. But when they arrived, everything was different. This behavior does not befit an international hotel... Note that I use the debit card in the Crowne Plaza Dubai restaurants frequently and I am always welcomed, and no one has ever asked me before about whether I was a hotel guest. On the contrary, in many cases, the number of people was increased to include ten people in the discount... Therefore, I always invite my family and friends to the InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, or Holiday Inn restaurants... Unfortunately, the Crowne Plaza experience was not good and completely unacceptable.

***Update (12.10.23): The receptionist guy suggested to upgrade my room. We went to check the room together and there were hair in both sinks and the bathtub 😂 The receptionist guy picked them by his hands and said it was okay. He got irritated and said “mam, what do you want”. I wanted my original room to be cleaned! He finally directed a housekeeper and wanted to give me a free drink card. As I was saying “thanks but I am leaving tomorrow”, he tore down the drink card aggressively and went away! I am the one who needs an apology but instead he gets pissed?!*****
Worst Crowne Plaza experience ever. My card did not work. Then the safe in the room did not work. The bathroom is dirty with HAIR around. I told the receptionist and she said that they will send a housekeeper. After two hours, nobody came to clean the disgusting bathroom and the reception is not answering my calls. Plus they are very unfriendly.
