Breakfast was everything you need, quality was good, lots of organic products. Room was fine, nothing to complain about. The location is rather subjective, we had a view of the mountains and the proximity to the city center was very good for us. The best thing, however, is the friendly couple who could always be approached openly or who gave us and the other guests tips for hikes, etc. on their own...

The most accommodating hosts, awesome rooms, incredible views and delicious breakfasts! Best place to stay in all of Allgäu. I highly recommend this place to everyone

Had a great time here. The beds are comfortable and you can walk to the skilifts. It's located in the city so you have everything you need at your reach.

Das Hotel Engel ist ein sehr persönlich geführtes Hotel. Es ist zentral gelegen und trotzdem ruhig. Auf individuelle Wünsche wird gerne eingegangen. Die Zimmer sind modern und dennoch gemütlich eingerichtet. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist reichhaltig, bietet regionale, frische Produkte und ist sehr liebevoll zubereitet. Frau Engel ist bei Fragen immer ansprechbar, das Personal äußerst freundlich.

My actual accommodation was at Nature Hotel Walde sruhe, located in the mountains. Holiday weekend with a great view. We have stayed here twice now. It is a small traditional hotel. Set at the edge of town, it has an unobstructed and amazing view of the valley and mountains. Rooms are clean and the breakfast is very good. The room also came with a Allgäu-Walser-Card which was a great savings. Not sure if this was a special offer or a normal practice.

Oberstdorf We were upgraded because Fuggerhof was not available. Naturshurn. It was a wonderful place to stay. Beautiful view of the Alps. Great place for a home base to visit the area.

1st Ski weekend in Obertsdorf. Perfect location right on the edge of a huge cross country ski trail/Field. We had our Labrador Retriever and she absolutely loved running around out there int snow. The hotel was cozy and really easy to park and offload all your gear, especially if you are on the first floor. Unique feel-good hotel with stylish, cozy furnishings throughout the house and in the spacious rooms. All services are as described on the website. Very friendly courteous staff. Excellent breakfast that leaves nothing to be desired, even my porridge was prepared for me. The only thing we just lacked was a tea bar in the room or at least accessible in the house. This hotel is for people who like hunting villa style and very friendly staff. For one night you pay 120 euros for a super clean "apartment" with bedroom and living room. The hotel is beautifully decorated and has generous common areas for reading and relaxing. Our room had a nice view to the mountains and the large, picturesque garden. Breakfast was tasty, with a wide selection of foods. The hotel also offered good rates for swimming pool and saunas at the nearby partner hotel.

We have been there twice and can only say that you feel great there. Nice and very friendly owner, nice team . Everything was very clean, comfortable and a great breakfast, plus the great view. We will be back in 5 weeks and will celebrate our silver wedding with the family there in May. We have already been there 7 times in the meantime and in 2 weeks we will be there for the eighth time.

The property is beautifully located. The rooms are comfortably furnished and in a clean condition. The owners were very friendly and you could get good hiking tips. I accidentally left my elastic there when we got home. I hadn't even noticed the loss myself and had a letter with the elastic in my mailbox today. Really very attentive and warm accommodation. Gladly again.

Apartment Schattenberg is a gem...everything tastefully and elegantly furnished. Kitchen perfectly adequate for 2 people... great bathroom with huge shower... the landlords are friendly and helpful. Sauna in the basement included (by appointment) and it's really cute, even with a relaxation room...ok, the dousing shower and the hose for the cold shower were out of order, but you can get over that....

OK. but not any more. Water early at 5:00 a.m. only cold to lukewarm. Breakfast ok but not amazing. Host not particularly talkative and sociable. Bathroom window from the other room was on our balcony side-since permanent showerers were accommodated there and it was very annoying when the showering window was open. Relaxation was not possible on the balcony.

At the beginning of 2016 I was able to enjoy 4 days in this beautiful hotel. The single room was perfect for me, the breakfast was delicious and the host was very friendly and helpful. I had the sauna to myself.

Nice little hotel in a central location and great room facilities. Loving breakfast, flexible, friendly hostess. We lived on the second floor with a view of the mountains and ski jumps. There are lively streets all around with great shops. Attention: Traffic restrictions in the city center. You get a pass from the hotel

Price performance is right here, there is also something different on the menu than, for example, burgers with sweet potato fries or ox heart tomatoes. Waiters proactively communicate what may have changed on the menu. Very pleasant . All in all, happy again.

On incredible place with an incredible owner. This location offers some serious breathtaking rooms, the breakfast area is just sweet and the outdoor Garden is unique. The staff is very kind and attentive. it is perfect for families with small children as it offers endless fun for the little ones. I am hoping to be back here very very soon!

Good little place, stayed with a friend for a weekend ski trip. Worth the price for sure! And the walk to downtown is less than 10 minutes.

The outside terrace is very nice, right by the slopes. The coffee was decent and they served a great local beer . Also the view is amazing!

It is advertised as a four star which I would say is correct for the breakfast buffe (fresh honeycomb was a really nice touch!) and spa area but not for the rooms. These are more of three star quality. The locations is in a tiny quiet village two km away from Oberstdorf which you can walk to if you want.

Please note: only reviewing the restaurant, since I didn't spend the night here. Service is written with capital letters here. Very attentive staff. Food is generally good, but lacks a little bit of uniqueness compared to other restaurants in the neighbourhood. The restaurant looks and feels more modern compared to other local places which is a nice refreshing experience. Can recommend!

The location of this youth hostel is great between the mountains. The view and landscape around is great. Close to the gorge Breitachklamm. Very good hiking starting point. Value versus cost is great. The problem that there is no internet in the rooms. Also, you have wake up early because the hiking guys make high noise

A above average accommodation with friendly staff and great breakfast. The rooms very pretty clean as well. They also have adequate parking spots around the hostel. Both Oberstdorf and Freibergsee are a short drive from the hostel. The Wi-Fi connection was definitely a shortcoming as mobile network was very weak at this spot. Otherwise would recommend it.

Great location and friendly staff. It's in a very lovely place surrounded by little mountains. You're in Oberstdorf within 10 mins from the hostel with public transport. They provided us good dinner and breakfast. The WiFi was included in the price; however it was almost never working inside the room. We had to go downstairs every now and then to even google something.

This youth hostel is in a very nice location, the mountains around are perfect for day hikes in the area, for both more advanced tours and also very nice and easy hikes (e.g. Breitachklamm). The staff in the hostel is very nice and helpful and will give you tips for tours you could do. The rooms are not as well-equipped as some other DJH hostels, for example there are no reading lamps mounted on the walls for the bunk beds and the showers are clean but without any sort of shelf to keep small items dry. Staff very friendly and helpful though.

Central location and fabulous rooms with double balcony/conservatory and I loved the alpine theme. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of variety. We also sampled a local yodelling band as they had evening entertainment which really made the night. I would definitely recommend but if you are a light sleeper you may not like the church bells close by.

Wonderful dining experience with delicious food. Try the risotto! The yodeling, being somewhat repetitive, is not half as annoying as you thought it would be and even adds to the flair of the evening. When overnighting: be sure to use the very extensive breakfast options spread across the restaurant (ham, brie and cheeses are in the back).

Booked a summer week here to go alpine hiking. The hotel is absolutely fantastic. It's in the middle of the nature, quite a bit away from the city. The staff is really nice and helpful. We especially enjoyed the dinners. The food was absolutely amazing. We will definitely be going here again.

We had an absolutely lovely time staying with the Hotel Garni Marzeller. The owners clearly care a lot about hospitality. Every morning we had fresh bread rolls and a selection of other breakfast foods, left full every day. I'm absolutely satisfied, the price is right. Room booked at 4 p.m. and moved into at 6:30 p.m. Everything clean and tidy. Rooms even with balcony, modern folding chair and small table. Very personal, private guesthouse with cozy rooms, delicious breakfast and an attractive location right next to the Breitachklamm and only 15 minutes by car from the Nebelhornbahn and 25 minutes from the Fellhornbahn.

We were here in August 2020. Everything was wonderful. We would have liked real rolls for breakfast. Unfortunately, there were only Aufbackweckle, which were then rock hard. Pity!
