It’s my go-to bed when I need to stay in proximity to Berlin, away from the city.
Also ideal place when you need overnighter after late arrival at Willy Brandt’s airport.
I really like polite and willing staff, always accommodating and with positive attitude.
If you can, get a room with lake view. In the summer you can enjoy your first coffee on the balcony with spectacular scenery.
The view is nice from the balcony and there is a restaurant downstairs also with a view of the lake. As it was a hot summer night, it was good to find nets on a window.
Otherwise, the staff was very courteous, clean, and the restaurant was good value for money.
While the hotel itself was clean, one could tell that the area around, is just nothing special, but probably once it was a thriving, popular destination for Berliners or some other visitors.... area felt depressed... hope I am wrong but it was middle of summer break...and relatively few people..
It is a bummer that the boat rental outside was closed. Similarly a bummer that the restaurant closes at 8pm and that there's no on-site wellness other than a sauna, which you must in advance ask to be turned on. For almost 180 EUR a night without any meals included, I would expect more. For half that price, this would be pretty darn great and a truly recommendable escape from Berlin. If you've got the money, go for it! Otherwise, you can find more bang for less elsewhere in Brandenburg.
