Where to stay in Solingen

Was recently a guest at the Gräfrather Hof - from booking to check out everything was perfect. Clean modern rooms and very friendly staff. We had a great time here and would love to return. I can recommend this hotel with a clear conscience!

Very beautifully designed 4* hotel in traditional antique shell, blended with a modern & elegant interior design.

Cosy place to stay during winter times. It's lovely and has everything you need whether a business trip or even a relax time.

I come here 2 or 3 times a year and the hotel isn't beautiful but the rooms are big, the bed comfortable and the breakfast great.

No frills, but clean with a very accommodating staff. Very good value and convenient location in Solingen.

An average stay where they don't easily trust their customers. You want a kettle, you need to deposit 20 Euros. You want an umbrella, deposit your room keys.. You have checked in, pay in full for the duration before the room keys are allocated..

Hotell with Sverre standard om the room recept the shower wich in nu room Only had a curtain and sås kind of narrow with things monter om the Wall such as soap schampo hand railing. Personal and breakfast on the other hand was really god än actually deserves 5 Stars

Driving back to Denmark from vacation we found this hotel via Google. We did not expect much but was very surprised and happy when we arrived. Bit old and slightly run down although not too bad. Staff is friendly and breakfast is ok but when staying more than one night the lack of facilities in the hotel (no bar, no real lobby) gets annoying just like the very frequent trains. Still an ok option for a short business stay if you need to be near the center of Solingen.

Code access, parking, small gym. Location were perfect for me since i needed to stay nearby the hospital. However, edges of the bed was dirty.

Very modern hotel. There is no front desk or any staff. You use an access code to enter, which means that you can check in at any time and there is no checkout. Comfortable bed and a spacious room. There is a nice bakery 30 seconds walk, where you can get breakfast. They have vending machines at reasonable prices on site too.

It was fine for one night because it was very central. Although very old, everything was very clean, the boss was very friendly and the breakfast was ok.

My biggest complaints (as an American) are: the parking is very hard to spot, the entrance for any non-compact car is very narrow, and the road is undergoing construction that makes it hard to find the way to the hotel. Stayed here on a business trip. For business purposes it was fine. It is not near downtown so you will need to drive or take taxis to most places. Rooms were clean and fairly large for European standards but a bit basic. Large tvs but only one channel in English and they have locked the settings so you can’t enable subtitles which was frustrating. However the hallway floors are not carpeted so they...

Well deserved 4 stars for this hidden gem. I’m not sure when they did a full makeover but everything looks really crisp. Beds are perfect, rooms are nice for both work and leisure visits. Also breakfast is really good with a rich assortment of foods and freshly pressed oranges. I will try the bar later this week.

Great rooms and a superb Breakfast with raspberries, salmon, and all the bells and whistles! You must not miss. The Hotel has a sense of what travelers. We were here for a fantastic meal about 2 years ago and were very impressed. Since then the concept has changed considerably. No amuse bouche only baguette was the first noticeable difference. The food in each course was cooked with some obvious skill but lacked seasoning and for the price can only be described as adequate. Lovely hotel in paradise. 10 minutes from city center and 10 minutes to highway. Lovely quiet rooms in the middle of nature. Only thing I would recommend mosquito screens to be installed to avoid those little devil's coming into the room in the summer time as hotel is next to river and mosquitoes love this area. Class Hotel The price-performance ratio fits absolutely. Directly in front of the Hotel free Parking spaces are sufficiently available. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very clean. A beautiful small hotel, located directly on the hillside, which offers a magnificent view. The room was just super nice, clean and the bathroom was very spacious. The breakfast was very tasty, rich and there were very tasty gluten-free rolls.

Clocky, somewhat low rooms and also rather narrow. But comfortable and functional. Bathroom is super developed for the little space. This is where the brain and heart go into it.

Fantastic service and the room was everything we needed. Loved the large pot of coffee they give you during breakfast. Neighbourhood is beautiful and we enjoyed going up the funicular 5min away from the inn, and exploring the medieval fortress on the top of the hill.

Nice family-run hotel in a central location in Freyung. We were there 2 nights. Beautifully arranged breakfast buffet, egg dishes are freshly prepared. Had dinner in the restaurant once.
