Good size room. Helpful staff. I like the bathroom which has a separate toilet. Only wished they served Asian food as options. Their German food was bland and salty.

I would love to give 5 stars but it’s the little details missed that really leave me unable to do so. I have never encountered a 4 star hotel which doesn’t contain a single iron to freshen up your clothes. No laundry services available on site unless you want to practically double the price of your stay for laundry service. But on to the good. The restaurant and service there was prompt and professional...

Very good food. Reception was very nice. Friendly staff. 1 point deduction because we had to get out of the sauna on the third evening at 8.40 p.m. because the lady wanted to call it a day. Even the boss comes by personally and asks about your well-being. All in all a good hotel. thanks

Rooms were a bit older but clean! Staff was very nice! The food portions were a bit small after hiking. I was rebooked here from the Waldhaus am See, which was a big detour on the hike on the Rothaarsteig. Who does not hike a recommendation!

Very clean rooms. Attention is paid to hygiene. Friendly staff and very good food. There are enough sun loungers by the pool. Sauna and indoor swimming pool restricted to people. Rooms 1 and 2 exposed to noise from slamming doors that lead to the sunbathing area. Very uncomfortable. Today after four nights I unfortunately have to say that the black hair in the bathroom is still in the same place in...

We haven't been sleeping in the hotel but went to the bar to eat and the food was delicious! Also, hot chocolate I had was a lot better than in the UK. Hotel looks splendid! Would love to stay in as a guest! Really something to see and experience! Lovely staff as well!

Mit 20 Leuten haben wir eine Mannschaftsfahrt ins Best Western gemacht. Von der Reservierung bis zum Auschecken war alles einwandfrei! Freundliches und kompetentes Personal, saubere und ordentliche Zimmer, leckeres und umfangreiches Frühstück und ein super Wellness-Bereich! Keine Beschwerden, es war alles klasse!

The rooms in Hotel Hochheide have a Nice view, plus the center of the city is nearby. Also the public transport is very accesible. The swimming pool is at walking distance. Overall its a Nice hotel.

We loved our stay. The appartment was very modern, very clean and very spacious, with all the amenities in the kitchen and children friendly. The breakfast was abundant and very nice, with varied fresh fruits, several kinds of bread, eggs made on demand, etc. The ski facilities were within easy access and the area is quiet and pleasant for walking, which we also enjoyed. The hotel hosts are very welcoming...

We selected the hotel because of location and our pleasant stay 2 years ago. The hotel has spacious parking. Our room had a spacious terrace with furniture, nice seating area and well equipped, practical bathroom. Breakfast is absolutely excellent and staff is efficient and friendly. We will be back.

We liked the hotel. The food was great, the staff were great. Unfortunately, the place itself doesn't have that much anymore. But the area there is really still beautiful. The only point of criticism is the perfumed smell in the hallway to the rooms.

A 4 star well run hotel. Without complaints. The room was ideal, clean and with everything you need for a relaxing holiday.

Good service. But very unpleasant that you pay EUR 70 per adult for their New Years Evening Buffet. And all drinks are excluded and cost Double the price than what it would normally cost in any German restaurant. The drinks (and water!) were even more expensive than in the center of Amsterdam in a club on a Saturday night. Not correct if you have already paid EUR 140 as a couple for an average buffet...

Nice hotel price / quality, friendly stuff and nice breakfast and spa. Only negative point, no chargers for e-cars and boiler in the room.

Overall good, but with some quirks like a radiator in the bathroom that can’t be switched off in summer (ok, it’s September, but still above 20 degrees) and a really mysterious note in a cupboard drawer (see pic). But the breakfast! Oh, my, absolutely lovely!

We stayed in this hotel 4 nights. We liked the breakfast and the dinner, the peaceful surroundings, the small nice park, the childrens playground and the very friendly staff. We didn't like the nearly unusable WiFi in our room. Only in the reception it could be used for light surfing, and things were not good with 4G either due to its remote location. In addition, we didn't find even a water boiler...

Very good Hotel. I advise everyone to have a good vacation. It has a beautiful park behind the hotel for both children and adults to be able to walk or even to do sports. A good pool as well as a sauna. Both for good relaxation. The employees and the manager are always available to help customers and always well smiling. I loved it.

I had a surgery in a near by dental clinic and stayed in the hotel. I live in Dubai and travel a lot to many high end hotels. This hotel is one of the most welcoming and cleanest places I ever stayed in. The owner was so friendly and treated me and my sister like family. The room is spacious and very comfortable. Highly recommend this place. Shuttle service is available too. Perfect place to stay.

We were upgraded to the honeymoon sweet which was very nice. Classic design, big room with a large terrace and spacious bathroom, good bed, pillows and linnen. Great personal service all around! The owner mans the desk, the chef takes orders and serves your meals himself. And boy he can cook! Probably top 3 of the most imaginative, pretty and tasty dishes I've ever had in Germany - healthy local produce...

I stayed here a few days during a business trip. This hotel has everything you need. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They realy take care about their guests. The rooms are also clean and nice. If i will stay again nearby. I'll choose this hotel again for sure.

The room was really nice. Only the pillow was quite uncomfortable. The breakfast was really nice and tasty. People were very help full and polite.

As you can see in the pictures, an extraordinary ambience. There's so much to see there. The rooms are very nicely decorated. The breakfast is great, something for everyone. You could choose from three menus for dinner. Super tasty. The spa area was great, not so sterile, very nice to relax.

The design, as shown on the homepage, is unique and extraordinary. The atmosphere and furnishings leave hardly any wishes unfulfilled and if they do, the service is happy to fulfill them. We felt very comfortable and were able to relax perfectly in the extensive indoor and outdoor spa area. The food was very tasty and allergies and requests were happily catered for. We went there for bowling and it was quite a unique experience. The bowling place had one lane with the lane and bowling balls being different and the controls were confusing to say the least. The staff was friendly but hard to find. Personally wouldn't recommend but it was alright.

Girlfriends wellness vacation 3 nights Was with my girlfriend on March 11, 2024 for 3 nights in the beautiful small family hotel. We had the Mexico themed room, it was very nicely decorated with a small tea corner and very clean. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and there was something for everyone, it was always refilled, the nice lady who kept coming to the tables in the morning was courteous...

The park is huge and nicely arranged. The houses are well maintained, nicely furnished, good equipped and very clean. The facilities in the park are great for children and the ski slopes are just a 20 mins car drive away.

Really nice hotel with great rooms, services (people and equipment) and food. Location is practical, in the village, a little away from the ski slopes (but a free shuttle service is provided or access by car is very fast).

Very beautiful hotel, with spacious and comfortable rooms. My kids were very pleased by the little details reserved for them such as kids slippers and kids personal care kit with special shower gel, shampoo, body lotion and a wet cleaning paper just for them. The service was excellent and the location is great. We went to the spa and it was clean and curated. Really enjoyed the stay.

Great place to stay for skiing in the Sauerland. The Big Egg building is iconic, the views from the rooms are great, the huge jacuzzi is fantastic after skiing or hiking, and the indoor pool has a diving board and a slide. There is an outdoor pool also but it was winter when I was there. The breakfast buffet is great. Bar was nice and had good wine. Good restaurant options within walking distance...

Great hotel just at the end of downtown Winterberg. Beautiful views of the area. The spa area is huge and very nice. I did not care for the strange ergonomic pillows but that's just a personal preference. We got stuck for a short time in the elevator so be aware. The breakfast buffet is really nice.

I was there for a one-day yoga workshop from the online yoga course. The resort is impressive! The food was excellent. The service was outstanding and very friendly. I would also like to check out the rooms and other amenities.

This hotel has got lovely steaks and very good service. make sure to book a table - since it's always busy. You have live piano played by the owner/manager. I would highly recommend this place for a good dinner and stay.

Friendly Welcome. Room was ready although they have an unusual check out time of 14:00. Clean sunny room. TV , balcony but no fridge or safe, but large wardrobe. Shower/ WC. Beds comfortable. In the desk was a sealed package, price tag 30 Euros. Initially thought it would be chocolates, but no it said on the back this included batteries and 3 condoms. So fun , not edible ! Breakfast was a high standard...

Good room with enough facilities, but the cleaning service is not good as 4 stars hotel. Also the pool area is not so clean and the pool has not really good filters as well. The breakfast is good and serves in a cozy place.

We stayed at a one room apartment with two elders and two children. The apartment is new and well furnished. Very clean. The location is also very good there are lots of activities available around the park. The hotel is having a SPA with an indoor pool. We will go again .

We came here for our first experience with Winterberg. A spacious apartment with kitchen and bathroom in a separate room. But really guys, the bedroom, had no curtain or window cover of any kind. We went back to the reception and they offered us a pair a bed sheets and a do it yourself. 3 days passed and no one came to offer a better solution and score some extra points. The bed covers where too...

We stayed in the apartments that are 300m from the hotel building and we absolutely loved our stay. It wasn't a busy period so parking was available at all times, it was clean and spacious, quiet and relaxing - all we wanted. The pillows do need an urgent update so I recommend getting a pillow from home if that's something that's a deal breaker for you. The rest was great.

An amazing experience that we will not soon forget! The hotel's location is perfect for a nice walk to attractions in Winterberg (Shopping area, Ski Lifts, Rodelbahn, Hiking Trails, etc.), and a short drive to surrounding towns with other attractions (swimming, mini-golf, boating, etc.). The sauna and wellness area is very relaxing. Soothing music in the background while you enjoy multi temperature...

The staff is very kind and the rooms are very clean and and with 8 beds you can accommodate many people. The one bad thing is the wifi as there is a poor signal throughout the entire hotel. Edit: I should've complained about the wifi so that was on me and it wasn't really bad outside of the room.

Location top, dinners great. Kids friendly, however the kids club they could improve a bit, very small and outdated in my view. Kids buffet can be improved, it was everyday chicken and friet, could add some pasta and beef, carrots, etc. Please be aware that it is a Dutch place.:) Rooms a bit small. Overall, can recommend to everyone, especially with kids and who ski.

Went during winter. Nice hotel, breakfast and diner were also good. Sauna is very beautiful and nice. We booked a 2 person room and also used the ski/snowboarddepot that was included. However, when you have a snowboard and skis, 1 pair of shoes will NOT fit in the locker. The depot is really small when you have a 2 person room. We addressed this to the reception and were allowed to bring the boots...

Location of the Hotel is great, right next to ski lifts. Breakfast and dinner were also great, very well organized. In the morning we would chose our dinner menu. Kids are getting crayons and coloring papers before dinner. Nice pool area. Spacious rooms. Very friendly staff.

This hotel offers such a high level of quality and service. Staff are so kind, attentive and helpful. Breakfast is excellent. We had dinner at the restaurant two evenings and enjoyed fine dining on both. Swimming pool, sauna and jakuzzi are so heavenly to relax after a ski-day. Fireplace is awesome with real wood. We will definitely come back.

We stayed for 2 nights. Very nicely decorated hotel, cozy atmosphere. Staff is very welcoming. The hotel is dog-friendly. Only downside is a fairly mediocre dinner for a high price. And breakfast is 28 euros per person - breakfast was fine but not worth 28 euros pp. The pool and indoor sauna are very clean. The outdoor sauna was out of order when we visited. The view from the room was outstanding

Everything was good except the parking. Their ripoff system steals 15 euro every time you exit, even though it's supposed to be 15 per 24 hours, unless you register your car license plate in the system, then it is supposed to be 9 euro. I regstered my car but they still stole 15 euro on every exit. The reception claimed there should be SPACES in my car number plate! Whoever heard of spaces in a car...

The location is very nice for parties, family celebrations or workations. Jost and Kathrin run the house with a lot of love. The mix of "old style" and modern country house style is really nice.

Nice big family home away from home. Big rooms with en suite bathrooms, large living room and sauna facilities. Kitchen is workable but a bit narrow. Two minutes walking from the snowfields, 10 minutes from the ski slope. Ski rental at the beginning and end of the street. Private parking. Highly recommended!

The house has about 10 rooms and could house about 20-25 persons. Additional Two rooms were still remodeling. Has a small kitchen with dishwasher microwave stoove oven and fridge. Also a infrared and dry sauna with additional shower. There is parking space for 8 cars. And a small garden with a barbeque (not cleaned...) big living room with dinner table and smal room with an old piano. Some old boardgames...

First of all I would not say that Hotel is 4 stars but rather 3 stars. Rooms were okey just that spider webs and some stuff were not actually really prepared for guests to feel comfortable. The place had a good view from hotel and walk there was beautiful all nature , green! The nights at hotel was not as we expected. The bearded waiter that served us was top person and really precise and friendly...

Always a pleasure at the Waldhaus Ohlenbach! The staff is friendly and the food is great. I am especially happy with the lavish breakfast. The hotel is very closely located to the skiing slopes of Winterberg. The views from almost all the rooms and the awesome Infinity-pool are a true highlight of the hotel.

the place was clean and quite. rooms are sufficient for a short weekend stay. not far from ski lifts and has its own parking space. the staff are friendly.

Beautiful hotel set in the beautiful mountains. We visited with our 4 and 1 year old kids so we could not do any of the hiking around the area but we loved our stay there. We went beginning of October. The view of the mountains from our room was just breathtaking! There is a lovely playground and an indoor pool and an AMAZING play room that my kids just absolutely adored! The food was delicious and...

Must be beautiful to stay here overnight. Its pricey but you get value for your money. They even have rooms downstairs for dog owner

Their unmarked electric fence injured my dog.

A wonderful hotel with fantastic hosts who couldn't do enough for us. The food was amazing and mostly homemade. I cannot rate this hotel highly enough. It was a shame we were only staying for 3 nights.

We stayed two nights. Hotel is very nice, there are rooms 'in' the hotel but also across the street. So if you stay there you have to go outside if you are going to breakfast, which is a minor inconvenience. The breakfast is of high quality. My suggestion to the hotel is to also serve espresso and cappuccino

Nice and very clean hotel. Great dinner and a big selection at breakfast to choose from. Good start base to hiking spots and nature. Only negative point is not all staff members speak english. Pictures are view from the back of the hotel.

I only ate at the restaurant and the cuisine and service are of a certain level. To be the restaurant of a hotel is excellent.

Nice hotel. Staff was friendly, rooms clean, food good. There is free Wi-Fi. Excellent for motorcycle travelers. The pool and saunas are nice. Only the beds were a bit small and kinda hard. Overall excellent stay!

We would like to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary soon. Since the Hotel Rimberg has its own chapel and we don't want to have to travel far on this special day, we first asked about a nice daily schedule. We have already been given some good suggestions. In any case, we are already looking forward to our special wedding day.

A really nice house that I really want to come back to. Quiet, neat, delicious food, attentive service. In addition, there is a beautiful wide view of the opposite ski slope. Depending on the season for hiking or for fun in the snow. Including a training slope for the little ones.

Very nice staff, good food and wine in a lovely setting. The "dog rooms" are a great size and very nicely furnished or equipped, the wellness centre is recommended. We would be happy to return.

The hotel itself is comfortably spacious and has a beautiful view. But during our visit early this October, the dam is under renovation, so what was supposed to be “lake view room” just became a room with a drained water view. It’s absolutely not the hotel’s fault, but maybe you can take into consideration while choosing the room if you come between now and December. The breakfast wasn’t disappointing...

Sehr schönes sauberes Hotel. Modernisiert aber teilweise noch den alten Charme erhalten. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber mit modernem Badezimmer. Frühstück und Nutzung des FKK Wellnessbereiches mit inbegriffen. Sehr freundliches Personal. Würden wir weiter empfehlen.

Our room was clean and the services good. We just wondered why there were no tea/coffee making facilities or a shaving mirror provided as the hotel did say that it had 4*?
