Great idea, so you don't need to carry a lot of cash with you. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They gave us the lay of the land with a lot of suggestions for things to do in the hotel and the surrounding areas

All in all, it is a great experience that we hope to do again in the near future. Might bring more family members and get an apartment instead of a couple of rooms. 75 stars out of 10 (because of the shower doors)

Typical breakfast buffet, but dinners were fantastic! 3-4 course meals that'll make your taste buds go wild. Bar menu is limited, but a very nice selection of Gin. Choose your room wisely because it does matter

We are the big fun’s of this place, this was our 5th visit and we will definitely will come back again. Located nicely, a lot of things to do as a family with kids, nice restaurant, caring staff. ❤️

The "key to everything" is a bracelet that is used to open your room or charge purchases (meals, souvenirs, drinks, hours at the spa). It fits nicely on your wrist and is water and sweat proof

The wellness facilities are superb. The rooms are big and you have all you need. Breakfast with valley view is a must do. In winter you are close to ski piste and walking distance to center

Really nice hotel with great rooms, services (people and equipment) and food

The only disadvantage was that the hotel parking lot wasn't big enough, but only because the pool is public and people drive to come swimming. Overall I'd be happy to come back

My kids were very pleased by the little details reserved for them such as kids slippers and kids personal care kit with special shower gel, shampoo, body lotion and a wet cleaning paper just for them

The staff, the kitchen, the pool - everything was great!! We asked for a kettle in the room - they brought it right away! The water in the pool is warm, we liked the spa! It was very tasty, clean, unforgettable!! It is very quiet and calm at night, and the orthopedic pillows are a surprise!!! I recommend!!!

Location is practical, in the village, a little away from the ski slopes (but a free shuttle service is provided or access by car is very fast)

Good room with enough facilities, but the cleaning service is not good as 4 stars hotel. Also the pool area is not so clean and the pool has not really good filters as well

The bed covers where too short as well, so that really made the bedroom experience score 0 points. The sauna is nice and the swimming pool too! Great experience

We stayed at a one room apartment with two elders and two children. The apartment is new and well furnished. The location is also very good there are lots of activities available around the park

I was there with my niece and we immediately felt at home. A quaint, well-kept hotel with a great oasis of well-being, you can relax there! There was a fitness room, infrared cabin, steam bath, whirlpool

The bathroom was newly renovated and there were bath towels, hand towels and washcloths as well as a hairdryer and scales

As you can see in the pictures, an extraordinary ambience. The rooms are very nicely decorated. The breakfast is great, something for everyone. You could choose from three menus for dinner

The design, as shown on the homepage, is unique and extraordinary. The atmosphere and furnishings leave hardly any wishes unfulfilled and if they do, the service is happy to fulfill them

The hotel was clean and the wellness area with the pool and saunas was also great. The food was good, and the winery had a fine selection of wine from different areas

The small pool was cold, not 29 degrees as advertised (20 max). Unfortunately on both days the bar closed at 8pm so we couldn't grab a drink after dinner

This was a slight inconvenience but Mrs. Diemel was able to provide us with a TP Link Device later in our stay. Breakfast was Delicious and plentiful in their lovely main building. Beautiful sauna and swimming facility

We had full access to the Sauna (even after we checked out, we were able to come back to use the shower after skiing before driving to the airport). Pleasant stay and the check in process was easy and efficient

Directions directed us to an apartment in the cellar but don’t be anxious - it was a spacious, bright and modern 2 bedroom apartment with 2 balconies and especially quiet! A minor downside, no WiFi

Swimming pool for the kids and activities. Perfect walks for dog owners (which we are)

The apartments are very comfortable, the swimming pool, hottubs and sauna are amazing especially after a day of skiing or hiking

The pool and the outdoor hot tubs are nice but cold, not quite for a pleasant swim or splash with friends/kids. The sauna and steambath are strictly no-textile (which some like some don't)

Only difficulty faced was taking luggage to your accommodation; depending where you are staying, you have face some steep hills up and down. Not a problem if you have backpacks

Me and my family have been coming here for 20 years (every couple of years) and even though it hasn't had any major updates over the years, it's still a family favourite

The restaurant has great food and it's a 20min walk to the village center, a nice little village for shopping and dining

It was fantastic, what a lovely surprise to find in the countryside. Great pool, inside and out, lovely terrace in the sun. Very friendly staff. Will absolutely return!

The views from almost all the rooms and the awesome Infinity-pool are a true highlight of the hotel

Always a pleasure at the Waldhaus Ohlenbach! The staff is friendly and the food is great. I am especially happy with the lavish breakfast. The hotel is very closely located to the skiing slopes of Winterberg

The two Saunas overlook the valley and the outdoor, heated swimming pool allowed us to swim while the snow was falling. I got a fantastic massage in the Spa. The bar offered ample opportunity to sit and enjoy a drink

We came here with the whole family for a short 3 day trip between Christmas and New Years. As expected the weather was cold. luckily the hotel greats you with a warm fireplace and a cozy atmosphere

Swimming pool, sauna and jakuzzi are so heavenly to relax after a ski-day. Fireplace is awesome with real wood

The pool and indoor sauna are very clean. The outdoor sauna was out of order when we visited. The view from the room was outstanding

We had a wonderful time at the Dorint. We had three personal requests - all were fulfilled in a very short time with a lot of friendliness and helpfulness. Room nice, pool nice, breakfast delicious

A nice hotel for 1 or two nights. We went hiking and the hotel had everything we need. Rooms are good, breakfast as well. Wellness area was disappointing, just 2 small Saunas and a small pool

In the end we took action OURSELVES and we moved a third bed from another room to our double room so that our daughter had a place to sleep. We also had to ask for a towel package for her

The staff is always friendly and helpful. In short - highly recommended. Also, great location next to the slopes and 5 minutes drive to P5/P3/P4 in Winterberg

The view of the mountains from our room was just breathtaking! There is a lovely playground and an indoor pool and an AMAZING play room that my kids just absolutely adored! The food was delicious and the staff are so kind and friendly

Nice with a pool - after a day of skiing

Beautiful hotel set in the beautiful mountains. We visited with our 4 and 1 year old kids so we could not do any of the hiking around the area but we loved our stay there

Must be beautiful to stay here overnight. Its pricey but you get value for your money. They even have rooms downstairs for dog owner

Just visited out of curiosity and had a nice walk in the neighborhood. Gorgeous views of the valley beneath.

This hotel has got lovely steaks and very good service. make sure to book a table - since it's always busy. You have live piano played by the owner/manager. I would highly recommend this place for a good dinner and stay.

The food here is amazing!! The owners are friendly and it's definitely a nice place for a short weekend getaway.

Restaurant was super, very good servixe from Anke she knows her stuff and helps to make the right choice

Initially thought it would be chocolates, but no it said on the back this included batteries and 3 condoms. So fun , not edible ! Breakfast was a high standard and offered fresh individual choices

Room was ready although they have an unusual check out time of 14:00. TV , balcony but no fridge or safe, but large wardrobe. In the desk was a sealed package, price tag 30 Euros

Also you are encouraged to make suggestions. The evening steak / pork meal also very good, as well the home made soup. ( cooking philosophy code applies ) 2nd evening was a 4 course candle light dinner

Room was clean and very comfortable. Very good evening menu. Something for everyone, of good quality and good taste. Staff friendly and accommodating.

A very nice romantic hotel in a dream landscape, winter and summer. Very well maintained house with huge adjoining property. Great food from the top chef! Great deals, even for seniors and solo travelers

Although the kitchen brigade just wanted to go into the afternoon break, we were allowed to order. Everything is freshly cooked and well prepared. Only the espresso could not quite keep up

Nice big family home away from home. Big rooms with en suite bathrooms, large living room and sauna facilities. Kitchen is workable but a bit narrow. Two minutes walking from the snowfields, 10 minutes from the ski slope

The location is very nice for parties, family celebrations or workations. Jost and Kathrin run the house with a lot of love. The mix of "old style" and modern country house style is really nice.

Highly recommended for group trips! Great location and great hosts!
