The hotel was generally quite good. What struck me most was how nice the staff are and how great the entertainers do their job. The shows here are super nice and there is always something new. The complex is also beautiful and right by the ocean. But you really Need to know that the ocean is very wild most of the time so be careful with kids! What really disappointed me was the food. I had eggshells in my scrambled eggs several times and generally it just wasn't tasty. The selection was also rather small. The rooms are very big a clean. Nevertheless of the food, it was a nice hotel.

Currently at this property. This is my 2nd time here. The hotel sits in a good place to venture out and eat. The far end of the beach has many restaurants near ojos a nice club. Just have some small denomination in dollars to tip and get things done. We had a electrical issue. I tipped 10 bucks and the whole team came. Check in was smooth just tip and they will give you a little more attention. The pool is great. The beach can be choppy due to winds. The animation team is great. Friday is pool foam party. The food is average. Typical resort food. 1 bar which close at midnight. Weekends have many locals with a lot of kids. Hotel not too big but good. Internet is spoty. You cannot stream from TV or your personal firestick. The inter cannot handle the stream. You could do it from phone but it will lag. Otherwise the hotel is nice and cozy. Take a ride to sosua Beach. One of the best beach in the carribean. Definitely will come back.

Oh my goodness!! What a fabulous trip!!! The location was amazing, weather was perfect, food was awesome! The staff were very friendly, Persia, Pablo, and Marabelle were very welcoming and helpful. We ended up upgrading our trip while we were here and didn't expect all of the extra services that were included. My only complaint are the rooms are not exactly soundproof so you can hear people outside your room especially when they bang the door in the middle of the night or go back to their rooms when they are extremely inebriated. Other than that, AC very powerful and the shower temperature was great. The restaurants had great food and we even did the Romantic Dinner for two. Would definitely recommend to all travelers and will be coming back to Viva Wyndham Tangerine!

This is an all-inclusive hotel with direct access to the beach and very good cuisine, very pleasant. Also very suitable for kite surfers and athletes. Distance to the city approx. 20 minutes on foot on the beach also very pleasant, but aware: do not to walk at night! General cleanliness of the hotel area is very good to excellent, but just when you leave the hotel area ... it is a culture shock, because Cabarete as a place is very dirty (but it's the same like everywhere in the DR). Overall the hotel is a perfect illusion and relaxation oasis for all-inclusive tourists. Apart from the immediate pool area, the rooms are quiet. The staff is busy and tries very hard to make the guests happy. It's very safe area, but it's always recommended to use the room safe or at least lock your suitcase (not with the dump 000-number combination!). Showers are great and have floor-level drain, water comes warm! Water quality itselfs very good, but no drinking water but also without chlorine. There are some shops on the area, wellness and beauty centers. Old-style, but well-equipped and air-conditioned fitness room with a trainer (big plus!).
Air conditioners in the room are ancient and very noisy. Very high amount of water condensation on the ceiling, overall very damp and musty rooms, visible mold that was often painted over, but keeps coming through. Adjacent rooms can be very badly soundproofed if local weekend tourists spend the night there (it is a matter of getting used to). The structural condition of the rooms and facilities corresponds to the 80s of the last century, but well maintained. The condensation problems are due to the generally very high humidity and the age-old air conditioning systems. Locals are floating at the weekend make Saturday and Sunday a permanent Dominican party, you can bear it ... but it is very quiet during the week.
Excellent location directly at the hotel, about 40m wide sandy beach, moderately steep slope, many hotel-owned loungers under natural palm trees, which provide good shade. Water quite clean, but also a lot of floating particles due to strong waves, not very clear water, only walk about 50m further in, nice surf, which can sometimes be violent, beach is very suitable for walking, walk in both directions of the book approx. 25min one way. Also suitable for light endurance runs. Local riders offer their horses, highly recommended for morning rides along the water. The water is very pleasant and warm at 24 ° C all year round! Ideal for surfing and swimming!
With strong waves and onshore wind, increased amounts of seaweed, which is collected by local workers, unfortunately not very effective and very slowly (a little more professional help would bring the result faster and better). Clearance of the rubbish and the leftovers of the guests is somewhat inadequate. A few chairs damaged. Water could be better, but it is a structural problem of missing or poorly working sewage treatment plants (problem of inadequate infrastructure is visible everywhere in the DR, due to sloppiness and local corruption)
