Velero Beach Resort

Service is great, the place is well kept, the pool is great and the beach has an area you can use on low tide in front of the restaurant that we enjoyed very much.
The view from the restaurant is great.
Definitely Would come back.

My stay at Velero Beach Resort was nothing short of perfect! Every room boasts incredible views, and the location right on the ocean is unbeatable. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. The included breakfast was delicious, with plenty of options to start your day off right.

The onsite restaurant is a gem—reasonably priced with the added convenience of accepting cards, which was a relief when I didn’t have local currency on hand. The pool was a highlight, offering a relaxing spot to unwind with beautiful surroundings.

One of the best parts of the stay was watching the world-class kite-boarding right from the resort. The atmosphere is vibrant and exciting, and I can’t wait to return for another visit. Highly recommend Velero Beach Resort for anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing beach getaway!

Great place, has a really nice pool.
Staff is friendly and nice. The rooms are comfortable despite the fact the AC is located in the entrance of the room, it’s fine.
The only thing missing is the fact you don’t have a beach near you.

The restaurant is Okay, pricey if you look on other restaurants in the area. Food wasn’t great. We tried the poke bowl and it had way too much teriyaki sauce. Guacamole is a very small dish.

Really nice and quiet. Staff is really nice. Downside is they don’t have access to the beach, but it’s a short walk away.

The front desk was very nice and helpful! The room was very nice,slight ant problem in the bathroom and balcony. The room was also on the 3rd floor (ugh) with no elevator. The breakfast was really good at the onsite restaurant. The drinks at the bar were so-so. Very quiet area no real night life or touristy spots. The pool and ocean views were awesome never crowded but no hot tub.

Great location from airport only 35 minute drive. Service was great and staff is very friendly. Very quiet, no music and great for family. They have a bar and restaurant very reasonable prices.

Really lovely resort. Can’t say enough nice things about this place. Great location, it’s off the main road and quiet, lovely balcony views of the ocean, great food at the restaurant, pool is amazing the staff is amazing.
We were here for 8 days and really enjoyed it.

I booked Velero Beach Resort for a bachelorette weekend with my girlfriends. The resort offered a penthouse suite that was well-priced and accommodating.
Upon arrival, the security guard who was posted on the street made sure we were with the hotel and then let us through. Check-in was firmly at 3pm but we were able to go to the pool and hotel bar until we wanted to checkin. The front desk attendant (Juan) was so nice and welcoming. He gave us all the info we needed and let us know we could come to him for whatever we needed.
The room was so clean! I've stayed in other places where the room smells like mold and this hotel did not! The housekeeping staff were equally as nice. One morning my sister was sleeping and I asked that they not go in her room. They were so quiet that she didn't even know anyone came. We also somehow locked ourselves out of our safe. Juan sent someone up that helped us reset the safe and made sure one of us was in the room to reset the safe again, which made us feel safe.
The hotel itself is located at the beginning (or end) of the main strip of Cabarete. The beach was clean and we were never bothered by vendors as the hotel beach is blocked by rocks and barricades. The beach is also safer than most other parts bc of the rock barricades, so we were able to swim carefree. We felt safe at all times.
The resort also has their own bar and restaurant, which was great. The food was really good and the staff were friendly. You can also order food from the bar and bring it to the pool.
Overall, Velero Beach Resort rose above our expectations and I will recommend it to anyone looking to go to Cabarete!

The hotel was accessible, close to the city, and the view was so amazing !!
The food was good but a little expensive for what I took..
The first room (penthouse) was so majestic, elegant, big, spacious and the view 🤩🤩 the kitchen was also big and the sofa so cool!!
And the second room (I left the hotel to went to Las Terrenas before I came back at Velero Beach Hotel) was tiny but useful, and the view so beautiful !
I recommend this hotel !
