The hotel is located in eastern Part of Sosua named Playa chiquita which is quite calm and safe. It is close to attractions like ****** & Disco and public swim resort Santa Fe. The rooms have A/C, TV with live channels, safe locker with key and nice balcony. All worked fine. The staff is very gentle and the owner Henk very helpful. You can play pool billard and enjoy the beautiful atmosphere around the bar and the pool. Breakfast is also tasty and was included. The restaurant offers various tasty dishes for dinner. I can highly recommend this hotel with excellent rates

Did not stay at hotel but had dinner at the restaurant three times All of our group enjoyed their food. Nice service , good prices Large portions , good selection of different entrees Owner even sent us shooters at the end of our meal Comfortable, inviting surroundings

The staff only spoke Spanish.The breakfast menu did not have prices on card. A normal breakfast was 400 pesos (OK). But a single skewer of banana and pinapple plus coffee was 260 pesos.I was booked for a ten day stay.One night about the fouth day I woke up to about 20 bites on my underarm and top of feet very itchy for about 6 days. IF you turned the fan off at night you had a definite smell of sewer.You had to leave the fan on.The maids did a thorough cleaning only one more bite for the rest of stay.I was on the 3rd floor.I paid 87 dollars Canadian per night. Staff and management was friendly, but would expect better conditions for the money I paid.

This a very well managed property. The accomodations are dated but everything was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The grounds, restaurant and pool are well kept. It's perfect for a single traveler or a couple.

The stay at Hotel Voramar was characterized by a very well understood and always caring management, which had always fulfilled every wish or had contacts who can fulfill every wish (best with WhatsApp, E-Mail or phone). Both the hotel management and the chef can speak good German and English, which is an important support in the Spanish-dominated Sosua. The many guests from Germany, Switzerland, Austria and the Netherlands also help a newcomer a lot. The cuisine in the Hotel Voramar is a special highlight, because also very tasty good German cuisine and also special requests are fulfilled by the German chef.
In summary, the Vormar is a dream hotel with a beautiful pool, a nice bar and a very familiar German-speaking community and always worth a recommendation!

It was an incredible stay at Hotel Voramar. It is located in a beautiful and quiet area of Sosua, in Calle Alejo Martínez. Beach is 10 min away, walking distance. Great food, amazing staff, and a special thanks to the owner Henk (he treats everyone like a warmly welcomed friend and helps in any situation). This stay was truly inspiring and can be recommended to anyone who wants to have a great time.

Good Bargain, Distant from Downtown Though
The hotel is beautiful and generally clean. It's location is far from downtown (about 1.5 km) and recessed on the block, which prevents outside noise. My room was fairly clean, though there were various strands of hair around the place. Vacuuming would clean better than sweeping. The entry light bulb was out, so replacing with a working light would be helpful. There is live music on Wednesday nights which go past midnight. The music is good, but it's loud, so if one is looking for a quiet, restful Wednesday night, that won't happen. The staff is responsive and generally accommodating, helping to make for a pleasant visiting experience.
