New garden is a popular Hotel for Sousa. The rooms are nice and clean. Hotel staff are friendly. Restaurant and swimming pool available here. I recommend this hotel for single men, couples who are open minded. This is definitely not a family structured hotel. If you have kids stay elsewhere.

While the location of the hotel is fantastic and very convenient, there were several issues that made my stay less than ideal.
First, the staff, especially at the reception and the breakfast area, seemed unprofessional and poorly trained. It was evident that many had not received proper hospitality training, with some even appearing to dislike their jobs. One particular staff member at breakfast was unfriendly to the point of being arrogant, which made the mornings unpleasant.
That said, there were some positives. The security was strong, and I felt safe throughout my stay. The cleaning team did a good job – my room was clean, and I didn’t encounter any bugs, which is always a plus. However, the room maintenance left a lot to be desired.
The room was old and worn down. Several things in the room were broken or malfunctioning. The air conditioning unit, while functioning, was partially broken and blew cold air directly onto my face, which resulted in me developing a cough. The shower handle also kept falling off, and despite two attempts to fix it, the problem persisted throughout my stay. Lastly, I experienced issues with the toilet; twice, I couldn’t flush it, which was quite inconvenient and frustrating.
Overall, I was left disappointed with my stay. While the location is excellent and the cleaning staff reliable, the lack of professionalism and room maintenance issues really detracted from my experience. The quality of the rooms seems to fluctuate greatly, so if you’re booking this hotel, you might get lucky with a good room, but there’s also a high chance of ending up in a poorly maintained one. This level of inconsistency is unacceptable for a hotel and makes the whole experience feel very intransparent.

We stayed here for a week at the beginning of august. Great hotel in the centre of sosua. The rooms are very clean. Water pressure in the shower is very good. Air con is strong and works very well. The queen size bed is very big and comfy. There is a nice swimming pool in the reception area. Breakfast is included with the room and the food was very nice. Location of this hotel is perfect. You are 2 minutes walk to the main bar/restaurant area and about 7 minutes walk to the beach. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly.
I wasnt happy with the first room i was given as the safe and a few other things didnt work. They then switched me to room 33 and i was very happy. I had an issue with the toilet not flushing, but the maintenance guy quickly came and resolved the problem

Soon as I got there the toilet didnt work. It was gurgling back up whatever you had flushed and sometimes didnt flush at all. I complained to the front desk and they went to look and said "yup its flushing slow" and that's it. They didnt switch my room or fix the issue. So stood there with the toilet flushing whenever it wanted to. Breakfast wasnt all that so I didn't even eat half the time. Besides that, everything else was good. Perfect location, friendly staff and friendly security. The section I stood in was quiet and all sections have their own pool. Cleaning staff did a good job. Good water pressure, good hot water, good ac, comfortable bed, guest friendly. Just needed a better toilet.

I had a very nice room next to the pool, A/C was very cold, the restaurant was good, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I'm definitely staying here again. See ya soon!!!!!!

Stayed at New Garden and was really impressed with how accommodating the staff was, especially with remodeling going on. Food was great and service was excellent!

The service here was great. The 1st attendant literally ran back and forth for us because the rooms were new and were missing items. He made sure we got everything needed. The 2 housekeepers, Diana and Clary, were very friendly, clean, and professional. The hotel is located close to all the local action. Everything is a short walk away. Whether it be a club, a bar, the beach, shopping, pharmacy, or food ( and the restaurant here has the best wings we had while visiting).

The location is almost perfect in a good part of town. The room has a decent bed and good shower, but it has a tiny desk that can barely fit a laptop and power outlets are in inconvenient locations. They put me in a regular room without a hot tub, even though I had paid for the extra amenities suite room online.

Reasonable price. Very close to the busiest street of Sosua. The room was old. When I took shower, water flooded the floor because of poor resistance of the door.
