The tower building was amazing, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Ahmed from guest relations was especially helpful, The panorama restaurant has beautifull views. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and highly recommend this place!
What a fabulous hotel. Brilliant location on an island in the middle of the Nile with stunning views both ways. Sunset and sunrise remarkable. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Level of service brilliant.
I recently stayed at the Movenpick with a tour booked through Absolute Egypt Tours and had such a great experience! The hotel itself was beautiful, with comfy rooms and lovely views, but what really stood out was the service. Mohamed, one of the waiters, was amazing. He actually remembered what we’d ordered before, which made us feel really special. His service was top-notch and added a nice personal...
5 star hotel, amazing architecture, very peaceful on Elephantine Island. Good food with excellent prices at current exchange rate. Very safe. Very calm. Great views. Lovely staff. Lots of nice places to hang out in the shade. My wife and I stayed here 3 nights to recover from travelling around the world to get to Egypt, and it was a great choice.
I arrived from Utah, USA, to spend several nights in this beautiful hotel in preparation for my next Egyptian adventure. Talk about paradise. The people are beautiful with kind hearts. The environment and food in each of the restaurants is amazing. The breakfast that comes with the room has the largest selection I’ve ever experienced, was fresh, delicious, interesting, and satisfying. I highly recommend...
Its a very pleasant and surreal place. If you don't want noise, stay on the west side of the hotel, unless you like to stay connected with the hustle and bustle. I love this hotel, don't have anything negative to say about it.

Ferry to the island is convenient. Peaceful environment. The rooms and lifts are quite old and need some renovation
Isis Island Hotel is one of the most important five-star hotels in Aswan, and it is on the island of a natural reserve
Great location Staff are nice but the place is old many things are not functioning like air condition Food are average sometimes below even
Not so clean rooms and all, breakfast does not have variety, spa is closed for I do not know long, no gym but one thing is good which is important- you get the best view of the Nile river from this hotel, summery - good to stay 2 nights
The view and the island itself is very unique.... I can't say how much I loved the serenity and beauty of the Nile. The services are a bit slow... We stayed as bed and breakfast for two nights. So we had a chance to see the whole place. Went walking around the island I the morning. Our room had a terrace with a great view... So staying at the room was also enjoyable. The breakfast wasn't as...
Very beautiful views, its quite and well maintained. Food was alright (a bit bland). But overall, the hotel was perfect for relaxation. However the spa and gym are currently under maintenance so be aware

This is the epitome of Old world charm in Egypt. Fairy tale facility, wonderful service. Flagship restaurant, 1902, serves classic French cuisine with a slight Egyptian spin. Stayed for four nights and enjoyed every minute. Premium priced, but worth it.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We celebrated our wedding at the Sofitel Legend Old Cataract, and words can’t capture the truly exceptional experience we had. From start to finish, every moment was perfectly orchestrated, all thanks to the incredible management and staff who left no detail overlooked. The food was simply outstanding, the attention to detail was remarkable, and we felt pampered in every possible way. There...
The hotel is absolutely amazing. Some friends and I had gone to the hotel to have a drink and see the views! A friend had been here before and the concierge surprised us with a tour of the Agatha Christie room. Marvel had given us the surprise news and the tour and she was so nice, knowledgeable, and kind. Would recommend to anyone and everyone!
A gorgeous hotel full Of History. Exquisite including facilities, food and staff. They could not do enough. Marina at customer relations was amazing from check in all the way to check out. Everything was done with a smile and professional. Sit back and enjoy this gem with its history
This was one of the best hotels I have ever experienced. The hotel is beautiful with a great view of the Nile, the rooms were large and the food was excellent. Most of all, the service was the most attentive, prompt, friendly I have ever experienced. Would recommend to all and will come back. Mariam was very supportive and made sure we had a good stay. Only constructive feedback is that the rooms...
“I’m impressed with the cleanliness of this place. “Every staff member here is so courteous and helpful.m.elsayed from reception was very kind, and his smile all times . “The room service was exceptionally prompt and friendly. “I appreciate the personalized service I received.” “Your team goes above and beyond for guests.” “The meals here are always a culinary delight.
Loved our stay except my wife Got food poisoning from under cooked chicken tenders by the pool on the last day. She got a bacteria which caused acute cholitis. It cost her an MRI, antibiotic and 10 days of feeling terrible after we got home. Other than that, the hotel is one of the best we’ve ever stayed at, and we have traveled extensively around the world.
The Nile sits adjacent with falucca boats sailing by Dinner only food was excellent on the veranda Clean and comfortable. Beautiful balcony views Pristine Staff was cordial and helpful. Anticipated our needs

Stunning views unfortunate that there is no ramp at the front... you have to drag up over the steps. Great sized rooms and bathrooms that are very spacious and modern. The food was not great at all and often waiting times for delivery of a drink or a meal are the same timeframes - too long. Great and friendly staff and would give it a higher ranking if only their food and food service were better
I stayed 2 days at Basma Hotel and I’ve been extremely well served. The rooms are cleaned and decorated. The client is taken care from beginning to the end. Special thanks for Walid who was perfect. The food would not have the same taste without his smile and kindness.
My friends and I stayed at Basma Hotel for 6 days in December 2023. The room we had boasted an absolutely amazing view, which was a definite highlight. However, our stay was unfortunately marred by a few significant issues. The air conditioning in our room was completely non-functional throughout our entire stay. Despite repeated complaints to the hotel staff, the problem was never resolved. This...
Spent one night at the Basma hotel, located on a hilltop in Aswan. What can I say, I had a fantastic experience!! From the very clean rooms with AC, the view of the pool and the city, and the exquisite restaurant, I really have nothing bad to say about this hotel. It truly is a premiere place to stay if you are ever in Aswan. Finally the room service is quick and easy, you can charge everything to...
Located on a hilltop, the view from the hotel is spectacular! The pool is nice, and the food is great and very affordable. The hotel lobby and reception/waiting area are decorated with artistic murals and artifacts that keep you engaged with the hotel's theme. It’s uniquely built. Full marks to hygiene, service, amenities and food.
I’ve spent my stay in Egypt in just 5 stars hotel, but none was really incredible as Basma Hotel in Aswan. The service was super good, room also good and breakfast could be better. I wasn’t felling well and until 12pm Reham from guest relation manager was helping me to get some medicine. I felt like home to be honest. The view to the city is super beautiful. Recommend 100%.

The staff are friendly and very helpful. It's close to the train station and the rooms have a nice view, they need a few updates though. Overall it's an okay stay for a few nights.
Overlooking the Nile River, lovely views with a restaurant and very nice staff at reception. Good place to get a felucca to sail over to the Nubian island at Elephantine
It was okay - do not look for something fancy The location was good 5 minutes walk from the train station, view from room was nice but was so noisy to enjoy it as there was a public park in front of hotel and loud songs were being played all day.

Great value for price that i paid. We have all that we want in any accommodation - clean good bed, towels, toilet roll supplied, floor mat to keep bathroom dry, hot water supply 24hrs to make simple tea /coffee. just out of Aswan Train Station at 1:30am, walk in for the night. Ended up stay for 3 more nights! front desk help to arrange trip to Abu Simbel. i think we paid lowest $US20 pp in a 14 seater...
The room we stayed in was not well-illuminated. Very dim lights, otherwise a simple, standard room that's fair for its price. Critiques: Beds had spines protruding out that weren't easy on your back and spine; shower curtain was not designed properly, went up to your waist, water gushed out the bottom onto the floor, parking is NOT included, good luck finding one on the adjacent streets. However, service...
The hotel is clean. The room is really big and good space. The price is little high for it's category. The location is perfect and you are close to market, cafes, train station and Nile decks. The staff there is kind. Breakfast 🥞 is horrible
It’s part of my tour staying @ this hotel. So I don’t know how much the tour agency paid per night. Probably a budget hotel. The location is just 2 min or less walking distance from Aswan railway station, many restaurants or shops around here. Hair dryer is not available, air conditioner doesn’t work well n quite hot inside the room, water is leaking everywhere from the hose when I use shower, adapter...
Rooms are okish for the price...not fancy but will do if just sleeping is the only preference for booking a room and the rest of the time is being spent visiting local places

Booked for one night but stayed for 3. Great location, friendly staff, safe area for our bikes, great breakfast. Fast wifi in room 101. Looks like renovations are happening.
Good for the money. Following the egiptian standard, it's not modern nor well maintained, but it's ok for one or two nights. Staff is nice and trustable in our experience. Rooms are just ok. The terrace, old and dirty thb. Breakfast ok. Location is quite good actually, near the old market and close to the Nile. For the services they provide, hey are a bit overpriced tough.
It’s a fine place to stay for a few nights. I wasn’t hassled about buying tours, but the tour I did attempt to book through their travel agent was canceled thirty minutes before I was supposed to leave. (Yes, thirty minutes.) It was supposed to be a two-night cruise to Luxor, so now I have to find my own way there and figure out what to do. Stay there but don’t depend on the guy to book a cruise.
It's very simple and alright if you just looking for a place to crash for the night, but they do keep it clean and offer a nice simple breakfast, they also offer boat trips that are cheaper than out there so make sure to ask for it. The staff is very friendly and it has a good location like 10 min walk from the train station.
Location is good. but it is in a narrow Street and it is noisy there. Rooms are simple but ok. Room service is not that good but breakfast is very good.
Great free breakfast on the roof and free WiFi. Rooms basic but clean and they make shapes out of towels.

Location is great and the hotel is simple and nice. The room was bigger than I expected. Strong air conditioning and basic breakfast. 10 minutes walk to the market. However, it does not have a Nile front rooms.
The cleaning was terrible. The breakfast is the best thing it really helps standing up for a long time. The location is nice and accessible. Most of the rooms don't see the nile. The rooftop is closed most of the time except for breakfast. I still recommend it for low budget.
