Its a very pleasant and surreal place. If you don't want noise, stay on the west side of the hotel, unless you like to stay connected with the hustle and bustle. I love this hotel, don't have anything negative to say about it.

Loved our stay except my wife Got food poisoning from under cooked chicken tenders by the pool on the last day. She got a bacteria which caused acute cholitis. It cost her an MRI, antibiotic and 10 days of feeling terrible after we got home. Other than that, the hotel is one of the best we’ve ever stayed at, and we have traveled extensively around the world.

Stunning views unfortunate that there is no ramp at the front... you have to drag up over the steps. Great sized rooms and bathrooms that are very spacious and modern. The food was not great at all and often waiting times for delivery of a drink or a meal are the same timeframes - too long. Located on a hilltop, the view from the hotel is spectacular! The pool is nice, and the food is great and very affordable. The hotel lobby and reception/waiting area are decorated with artistic murals and artifacts that keep you engaged with the hotel's theme. It’s uniquely built. I’ve spent my stay in Egypt in just 5 stars hotel, but none was really incredible as Basma Hotel in Aswan. The service was super good, room also good and breakfast could be better. I wasn’t felling well and until 12pm Reham from guest relation manager was helping me to get some medicine. I felt like home to be honest. The view to the city is super beautiful. Recommend 100%.

My trip to Aswan was in Sept. 2021. The best hotel experience... Super friendly and helpful staff, quick response to any request, clean rooms, great view, exemplary service. Everything was just fantastic...I highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishes to travel to Aswan.

The hotel is nearly empty by July and August, don't expect breakfast to be fresh cause they served last day fridged breakfast... Also room service was little bit late in some orders but it's OK...

Great little inexpensive hotel on the Nile river nestled in the center of Aswan. Fantastic staff, very helpful when arranging activities. The feluca boats will pick you up right from the hotel docks. The legendary Aswan bizarre is directly across the street from this location.

Location in the very city center, on the banks of the river Nile and just opposite to the famous Aswan souk - couldn't be better. Staf very attentive. Nice view across the river Nile to the Elephantine Island. Fellucca harbour just beneath the hotel - only a few steps away from your room.

Very nice hotel. The customer service is excellent! My husband and I stayed there for four days and they treated us so well. Anytime we called for any type of service they came to our room so fast. Very clean and excellent room service. Amazing view and roof top food/hangout area. Fitness area could use some updating but I love how it's partially outside. Overall had a great experience!

The room we stayed in was not well-illuminated. Very dim lights, otherwise a simple, standard room that's fair for its price. Critiques: Beds had spines protruding out that weren't easy on your back and spine; shower curtain was not designed properly, went up to your waist, water gushed out the bottom onto the floor, parking is NOT included, good luck finding one on the adjacent streets. It’s part of my tour staying @ this hotel. So I don’t know how much the tour agency paid per night. Probably a budget hotel. The location is just 2 min or less walking distance from Aswan railway station, many restaurants or shops around here. Hair dryer is not available, air conditioner doesn’t work well n quite hot inside the room, water is leaking everywhere from the hose when I use shower, adapter...

Good for the money. Following the egiptian standard, it's not modern nor well maintained, but it's ok for one or two nights. Staff is nice and trustable in our experience. Rooms are just ok. It’s a fine place to stay for a few nights. I wasn’t hassled about buying tours, but the tour I did attempt to book through their travel agent was canceled thirty minutes before I was supposed to leave. (Yes, thirty minutes.) It was supposed to be a two-night cruise to Luxor, so now I have to find my own way there and figure out what to do. Stay there but don’t depend on the guy to book a cruise.

It's very simple and alright if you just looking for a place to crash for the night, but they do keep it clean and offer a nice simple breakfast, they also offer boat trips that are cheaper than out there so make sure to ask for it. The staff is very friendly and it has a good location like 10 min walk from the train station.

Very chill place, good food, good service. My wife and I spent two very comfortable nights at Kato Dool. The air conditioning in the room worked like a charm and the bed was super comfy. The only downside is that it is a bit farther from the city center.

I got a very very nice room! I was happy there till it was breakfast time. Very basic and kinda disappointed. No one was there at 7am till 7.30am when I had to go to reception to tell them if there was breakfast. I was super tired and slept good. You do can hear clearly the cars from streets, I only stayed there for 1 night. Managed to watch sunrise from the balcony.

Good service and welcoming staff. The hotel is very close to Aswan market (about 60 meters). If you have an activity or about to check out early before breakfast, the staff will have you ready a breakfast box to take out with you. The staff was nice. For egypt it was ok. Wifi slow and spotty. Our door couldn't be locked from the inside, shower pole wouldn't stay up. Location was near market but pretty gritty in the area. Check in took a while, breakfast was decent. Good place to stay if you want the local feel. Clean.
