Reviews
Second, the hygiene. I don't know what kind of water it was; was it recycled water? It smelled like dead fish, it was disgusting. No matter how I washed with that water, it was slippery, which was bad enough, but the main problem was the stench, like rotting meat. 🤮
Beach is nice and clean.
1. a wedding venue blocked our sea front view and they refused to offer a partial refund.
2. Every hour or so someone asks for your room number
3. Told us the room was ready and gave us the keys, however they were still wiping the floors
4. We couldn’t sleep the night as it was a weekend and the windows aren’t even double glazed instead the cheapest windows you can find on the market.
5. the worst part, the water is full of rocks underneath where you can’t swim whatsoever, the compound right next to us doesn’t have any rocks however you’re not allowed to swim there (note: the hotel is part of the seashell compound)
6. The hotel can’t make a reservation in a restaurant that’s in their building, basically no concierge.
I have no idea how it got a 5 star review, service wise it would be a 3-4, the only thing good about it is the pool and its design.
I called the reception multiple times during the night, only to be told repeatedly that the music would stop “in 10 minutes” — clearly just an attempt to calm us down, not based on any real information. It was very disappointing that we weren’t informed about the wedding at the time of booking. This kind of major event should be clearly communicated to guests in advance, especially those booking with children.
To top it all off, we were disappointed to find out that we couldn’t even use the beach facilities at Seashell, which was never mentioned in advance. For a property at this price point, guests deserve much better service, honesty, and transparency.
The reservation team also seemed completely unaware of what’s happening in the hotel. It felt like their only concern was to secure payment, with no effort to ensure a proper guest experience.
On top of that, room service was extremely poor in communication, with slow responses and lack of professionalism.
Overall, this was a very disappointing experience and certainly not the relaxing stay we were hoping for. I would not recommend this property to families or anyone looking for a peaceful break.
I enjoyed my stay but it could be better with the better bed and breakfast. Thank you
