The location of the hotel is great, it is not prefect because it is hard for a car to drive nearby.
The hotel is a little bit old and old fashioned, but it is still ok.
But the service, which is really the worst I ever met in Spain in the whole months o stayed.
1, the hotel have repairs when I stayed, but it is ok for me, I just want to know the noise time. But the manager just said it is impossible in their hotel. Looks that she thought I want to take some advantage of the hotel?
2, I have two large luggage box with me, two Conceirge people, just there looked at me, and say bye-bye. 😅
There are many other hotels near the Garcia! I lived 5 there, and this one really make me sad!
The room was dated, and in need of refurbishment. Honestly, the pictures published
of the rooms online by this hotel are deceiving. The carpets must have been three decades old.
Would I stay here again. No, there are much better alternatives from previous visits to Barcelona.
The online photos are very deceiving, I thought I was booking a luxury hotel for the price I paid but unfortunately this is barely a two star hotel.
The location is great and staff members are very professional and polite.
When I asked to switch rooms, the staff told me their only available options were even worse - smaller, darker, and even more depressing. They claimed I should be grateful for the "upgrade" to the superior room, but it was far from superior in my opinion. The only thing i'm grateful of is staying only 1 night and not having booked for holiday...
To add insult to injury, the hotel refused to offer any discount as compensation for the terrible experience. Paying a shocking 376€ per night for such a dreadful room is an absolute disgrace.
I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. The lack of customer service and the unacceptable room conditions make it a complete waste of money. Save yourself the trouble and find a hotel that actually values its guests and provides decent accommodations.
