My husband and I and recently stayed at Hotel Pulitzer in Barcelona. Our room was light and airy with nicely appointed decor. Breakfasts were either buffet or made to order, both were very nicely done. Although we did not have lunch at the hotel, we did enjoy the cheesecake, just fabulous! They have a very nice terrace bar for an afternoon gathering with friends. The hotel is very well located for shopping and you can walk to many of the cities incredibly beautiful sites. However, the best part about Hotel Pulitzer without doubt is the staff. Every person that worked at the Pulitzer was so friendly and went out of their way to greet us. It was truly a delight and I do hope to return!

I did not stay here and never have. however, I frequently come in for a very nice experience and a beautiful cocktail. Adriàn made me a superb Bloody Mary, one of the best I have ever had. Go see Adriàn.

While the location of this hotel is excellent, I was expecting a lot more for about $400 a night.

As a lot of the other reviews say, the walls are quite thin and it is very loud no matter what floor you are on. If you were on a lower floor you can definitely hear people talking and cars passing by on the street. If you are closer to the roof than you hear the music from the rooftop bar. Even just inside you can hear people shutting their doors and walking and talking. The room itself is quite small and a little disappointing. We were told we got the biggest room because we paid for a bigger suite for three people and it was still just two twin size beds with the sofa made up with sheets. It was the exact same as my friend who paid for a cheaper room for three people and it was made up the exact same way.

There's also virtually no space to put your luggage and depending on where your couch is located, you can't even open the dresser fully so you are even more pressed for space. Our bathroom door handle was also broken and took 2 days to fix. Overall not worth the price, even with the good location, and I definitely would not stay here again.

This is overall a great hotel! We enjoyed our stay and would certainly visit again. It's in a fantastic location and also has a nice rooftop. Can be a bit noisy from the hallway so it might depend on other guests if "too noisy" and also cleaning staff can be easily heard in the hallways too. Our only other complaint is they did not refill the in room coffee pods when room was serviced seem a bit odd. Very minor complaint but hope they fix that for future guests.

We had an excellent stay at Hotel Pulitzer!
The staff was wonderful. They gave us dinner recommendations and were very welcoming. They reserved us a table on the rooftop for live music as well.
Entire staff was so lovely.
Rooms were great, location was very close and central to everything we wanted to see.
Excellent experience, would highly recommend !

We had a fantastic experience at Hotel Pulitzer while celebrating my husband's 50th birthday. I must commend three exceptional staff members: Pau, who expertly coordinated everything before we arrived via email ; Alba, who warmly welcomed us and provided exceptional daytime service with a warm smile ; and Christian the night manager, who took great care of us. The entire staff was outstanding.

The breakfast arrangements were excellent, from the separate dining area to the food and service. The restaurant manager made sure we had everything we needed, including keeping the buffet open beyond 11 am as they were setting up for lunch.

All 30 of our guests had a wonderful time

Beyond the service and quality, the hotel's location is unbeatable. I wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Pulitzer for anyone visiting Barcelona or planning an event.

Only good thing I have to say about this hotel is the location. It’s right in the heart of the city. Breakfast selection here is decent . Now comes the main issues. Super noisy here. Walls are very thin and hollow. You could literally hear everything from people walking, talking etc above and outside window. People sleep very late here’ so you will hear outside noise till about 5 in the morning. So bet if you want a good sleep during your stay from a jet lag from this place ? It will not happen. The room here we had was pretty gross. You can tell they do a very bad job of cleaning these room. My room had so many dust build up under the bed, door frames some shelving. The first thing I always do when I travel when I get a room is wipe my fingers on them that’s how you know if the rooms are clean and this place wasn’t. The most disgusting issue about this place was the bed head board. Which had so many stains on it from who knows what (see pics below). We had complain about it few times during our stay but nothing was done. But yes this place isn’t really clean and if you have an allergic reaction to dust mites. This place will not work out for you. Overall location is good but the hotel room in general not good

Our stay at the Hotel Pulitzer in Barcelona started off well but ended on a very disappointing note. Initially, everything seemed fine. However, when we checked out, the front desk lady insisted we pay for breakfasts we never had. Despite explaining that we didn't eat at the hotel and had evidence that we were having breakfast at the nearby cafes, she was rude and unhelpful, showing us a checklist that falsely marked our room as having had the meals. Honest mistakes can happen, but her attitude was unprofessional and frustrating. I would advise against staying at this hotel based on our experience.

For a 4-star hotel this was quite a limited experience. We stayed at the Pulitzer for 3 nights, in a moderately expensive room. The rooms, as expected, are quite small, but with decent storage. The view from the small balcony was nice, but being on the first floor was quite loud. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The location was pretty great.
These are all, I’d say, the bare minimum.

The staff weren’t particularly friendly, very few smiles. The guy that checked us in late on the first night was extremely kind and talkative, but beyond that we found a lot of the staff quite rude and unsmiling.
The bathroom had some damp issues thanks to the world’s tiniest extractor fan, and we could have done with an extra towel or two, and the room didn’t have an iron or ironing board. When these were delivered they were both broken.

I tried desperately to like this hotel and make it my preferred hotel in Barcelona but there were too many incidents that made me think otherwise.
I must admit the two best things about this hotel are the location and cleanliness.
However, we were not satisfied with our overall stay due to the following reasons:
1. The curtains are completely useless in the room (or must be for decoration). We were woken up everyday with the sunrise; as soon as the sun comes up the room is relatively bright.
2. While taking a shower, a lot of water is leaked out onto the bathroom floor. This caused a safety hazard to my partner who was about to slip. We did complain about it and they did change our room but it was the exact same thing in the other room as well.
3. Upon “closing” the window, there are cracks and spaces so it is not entirely closed. You still get air coming from outside (nights were quite chilly) in addition to the noise. So the window was as pointless as the curtains 🙃
4. Our bathroom sink was clogged and had to call someone to unclog it which was such an inconvenience with all the time wasted.
