We were welcomed with champagne and the staff were very friendly. We arrived early and were allowed early access to our rooms, after a wait in which time they held our luggage for us. We went to the rooftop bar, which had beautiful views and the drinks weren't too expensive, I paid 6,50 for a pint of shandy.
There is a pool, but it's a bit of a gimmick, and we wouldn't have felt comfortable using it with people at the bar.
The room was beautiful, very well cleaned every day and a great design. There is a fridge and a safe which we found really useful. I also used the supplied clothes steamer, which was very helpful. The bed we had was king-size, but felt huge.
We had some noise from outside on the last night at 3 am, as the area around is a bit dodgy in places. But nearby the food is much cheaper, which was very useful for getting breakfast and lunch.
We used the restaurant one night and the food was delicious and really well presented, and not very expensive.
We loved the design and layout of the whole hotel, it's really modern and cool.

It is a very beautiful hotel with elegant and original decor. However, the area behind the hotel is not ideal: there are a few shady people, especially compared to the Gothic Quarter, which is very safe and clean.
Despite this, the hotel itself is stunning: the staff is friendly, and the rooftop view is lovely. I didn’t book a room and went there only to eat, but from an outside perspective, the hotel certainly deserves its 4-star rating.

Very good service, amazing view from the roof terrace. Would have personally liked some more options at the rooftop bar and the door of the toliet in our room was very heavy to open, but maybe it was just our bedroom.
The bedroom was always very clean.
If you have a room not by yourself: you will either see a silhouette of the other person showering when you are in bed, or you can put out the light next to the bathroom, but than you're showering in a darker space.

We had the pleasure of staying at *Barceló Raval* during my partner’s birthday, and everything was simply perfect. The hotel staff went above and beyond to make the celebration special — from the thoughtful surprises to the warm service, we truly felt welcomed.

I had an amazing experience. Not only were the drinks perfectly made, but the service was outstanding from start to finish. They was friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about the craft. Every cocktail was balanced and beautifully presented. It’s rare to find someone who combines skill, speed, and genuine hospitality so well. Definitely one of the best bartenders I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. highly recommend!❣️

Great hotel, easy to get to, very centrally located near everything most of us want to see and very pleasant staff. Room was clean, tidy and very comfortable. Also well appointed with everything I needed for a few days. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Rooftop terrace a must if you’re staying here or passing and a great way to view the city.
The only negative I saw when I’d booked was the area, I can understand where those comments came from but it is simply in a part of the city that has not been gentrified so you get to see where real people live. Never once felt threatened or unsafe.

I GOT ROBBED IN THE HOTEL LOBBY—AND THE STAFF GAVE US FALSE INFORMATION!
This hotel might look nice on the surface, but the management and staff are an absolute disgrace. Their complete disregard for guest safety and well-being is shocking. The surrounding area is also unsafe, especially for women, and clearly, the hotel does nothing to protect its guests.
I was in Barcelona for a business trip and chose to stay here. While working from the hotel's designated PC station in the lobby, a thief walked right in, passed in front of security, who was occupied serving champagne to guests, and stole my backpack, which had my wallet inside.
When I reported it to the reception, they checked the security cameras but told us to go to the police station ourselves instead of calling the police from the hotel. Their reasoning? That the police rarely show up, so it would be faster for us to go in person. However, when we got to the station, the officers told us we should have called from the hotel, as they could have sent someone immediately, reviewed the footage on-site, and shared a description of the thief. Whether the hotel was misinformed or simply wanted to avoid police presence, their advice ended up hurting our chances of recovering my stolen belongings.
While theft can happen anywhere, the way the hotel handled the situation—with indifference and misinformation—was extremely disappointing.
And that’s the real shame: this could be a decent hotel. The rooms are nice, the breakfast is great, but none of that matters when you can’t even feel safe inside the building.
If you value your security and want a hotel that actually cares about its guests—stay far away from this place.

The room was okay, and we had an issue with the air conditioning, but they immediately changed our room. They have a rooftop with a 360-degree view of Barcelona, which is fantastic. The location is excellent, just a 5-minute walk to popular areas. The only drawback was the parking—it doesn’t belong to the hotel and was quite expensive, so I opted for another parking spot just a 3-minute walk away

We stayed 5 nights in this hotel and had a brilliant stay. The room was super comfortable and very clean. The shower was great and water for the fridge was topped up daily. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice. If you would like freshly cooked eggs just ask as this is not made obvious! The rooftop bar at sunset is the perfect place to be. The staff are very efficient and friendly.
The area is not the best but it is only minutes walk from La Rambla - just be aware of your surroundings as you should be in any major city. it appears to be patrolled regularly by police and we never saw any problems. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Haven’t completed my stay here yet but felt compelled to write a review. The hotel is gorgeous with a cute barbie theme. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and the showers have great heat & water pressure. Chamomile tea was offered our first night as a gift to help us rest after traveling. The staff at the front desk, the staff cleaning and even the bartenders have all been extremely kind and friendly. I gave some feedback that there weren’t wash cloths and they brought something similar a few hours later. The 360 rooftop view is breathtaking and the bartenders craft amazing cocktails on the top floor. The rooms also have amazing views and made me want to keep the curtains open (when I normally keep them shut). Breakfast buffet is delicious and dinner is good too. We will be ending our 2 week stay in Spain here and it’s such a relief knowing we are basically in good hands for the next few days. A lot of reviews say the area the hotel is in, is dodgy but it is up to you to be aware of your surroundings in general and engage in safe behavior (that includes loitering!). I would recommend this stay to others 1000 times over.
