Room Mate Pau

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights while traveling alone, and it was a wonderful experience. I booked and paid via Booking. I checked reviews both on Booking and Google Maps, and chose this hotel based on them.

The location is excellent — right in the city center, at Plaça de Catalunya, not far from La Rambla. You can easily walk to Gaudí houses, the Gothic Quarter, Barcelona Cathedral, or the waterfront.

There are metro, train and bus stops nearby. I bought a T-Usual 30-day travel card for €22.

Next door there is a shopping mall with a great deli and bakery section. I ate there and was delighted with the choice, quality, and prices.

The room was spacious, with a small balcony. Everything was very clean. What normally fits into one room at home — toilet, shower, and sink — was separated into three different spaces behind doors.

The bed was wide and comfortable. Plenty of power outlets. The windows can be opened, and soundproofing is excellent when they’re closed. The only issue was loud water noise from the neighboring rooms’ bathrooms.

There was also a safe and an electric kettle in the room. They provided water, tea, coffee, and some chocolates.

Breakfast was excellent — tasty and varied. From 12 pm to 6 pm there is a coffee corner where you can have tea or coffee for free.

The staff were friendly. I checked out early in the morning, and they stored my suitcase until the evening — which I really appreciated.

Best hotel in town without any doubt!
The rooms are the cleanest I've ever seen in hotel. The location is right at the center of town and is close to everything.
The staff in the front desk are amazing and are always ready to help with a smile.
The breakfast is delicious, and the ingredients are always fresh. The dining room staff are lovely, especially Mr. Roldan. He was always there to put a smile on our faces each
morning.
Don't miss out on the home-made chocolate chip cookies, so addictive and delicious!
We enjoyed our stay so much and we recommend this place to have a complete and unforgettable stay is Barcelona.

Spent 7 days in this hotel that is located in a very central, safe and walkable area. I’d absolutely recommend it especially due to most means of transport being right next to the hotel. Firstly I’d like to point out the staff are very friendly, especially two male receptionists sparkling with sweetness, willing and going out of their way to help you, and one guy from the kitchen staff that was very polite as well. Added to that, breakfast was delicious, fresh and had a variety of things to choose from. Our double room was really luxurious looking for its price and mostly clean. On the first floor you’ll find the neat lounge area and terrace along with the bathrooms which were all so modern and well put together. Tip: check out the shopping catalogue in the lounge area to navigate the city! I highly recommend booking this place for the reasons mentioned above. Thank you to the people who made our stay enjoyable!

The hotel is very close to Catalunya Square and its location is really superb. One can simply walk around to many important touristic spots.
The buffet breakfast is also very good.

Absolutely amazing experience! From the check-in, staff approach to the cleanness of the room. Very beautiful and modern design, with the style small touches here and there. We’ve stayed in the room with private jacuzzi and terrace overlooking the Gothic part of the city (702) and the room was just fabulous. Sure this will be my favorite hotel to stay in Barcelona!

This hotel was a delightful surprise, walking distance both the gothic quarters and the shopping district. Reception and housekeeping staff were always friendly and prompt. Will keep an eye out for Room Mate hotels in other cities in future.

The location is very good, just a one-minute walk from the bus stop to the airport. Although it is in the center of the city, the noise in my room was not an issue at all.
However, the view was behind the department store next door, so I would have preferred not to have a view.
The room was a little small, and the chairs had no cushions, so it was hard to use.
I guess it is classified as a designer hotel, but for this price I think it would be more relaxing if it had a more mature atmosphere (personal opinion).
The breakfast was very delicious.

A wonderful hotel in the perfect location. Upon arriving there was a little mix up. Leandro on reception resolved it immediately and upgraded me to a junior suite! Stunning room with amazing views. Breakfast was very good with a huge choice. I highly recommend this hotel
