Catalonia Sagrada Familia

This hotel is a good option if you what to stay inside Barcelona. However, there are many things to consider: the rooms are small i took a double room and no space enough in the passage between the bed and the wall. The beds are not comfortable. The prices of rooms is expensive as well as the breakfast. I booked a double room, than I wanted to change to a single room and they told me you can come in the tomortow morning so we can change the room for you, I came early next morning, they said to me that there is no single rooms left, and they said why do you want to change to a single room, it's too small. I can say that the service is not very helping. I can say, you can find another place more comfy with better prices, the best thing about the hotel is that it is nearby the metro and it is in the city center.

We booked this hotel for a 3 night stay and arrived fairly late on the Saturday night. Check in was an absolute faff, with 2 credit cards being required as we'd booked 2 rooms, even though it was one complete booking... When we got to our room, we found it to be very narrow, with barely any room between the bed and the wall. We had to lift our heavy bags onto the bed, clamber over, then get the bags off the bed to get to the luggage space. The worst thing about the room though was the glass door on the bathroom. The door was not properly fitted, with space around the outside. It swung inwards and outwards with no lock. Privacy in a bathroom is a basic human right and we disliked this immensely. The air con didn't work properly on the first night but seemed to be fixed for the proceeding nights which was great. The phone in the room also didn't work. We never used the pool as it was a glorified bath which was overlooked very closely on all sides by high rise buildings.
However! The staff in the hotel were lovely, always polite, helpful for taxis and directions. The location was great, approx 10 euros in a taxi to La Rambla, and just round the corner from Sagrada Familia. Overall, would not recommend but wasn't awful.
