Hotel Turin

While the location seems convenient, if you manage to get an outward facing room, you hear all the noises from the side street the hotel is located in. This includes any evening restaurant customers (until midnight) and trash bin pickup (3am).

It is true La Rambla is steps away but if I were to visit Barcelona again, I would stay at a less expensive hotel elsewhere and take advantage of the extensive metro system to get around versus saying on this area where tourists and scams are prevalent, and avoid the high restaurant prices.

Additionally the expensive price of the hotel room does not reflect the quality of the room. We had respiratory issues staying here that we did not experience anywhere else in Spain (e.g. Valencia and Girona) and this might be due to the mold we found near the curtains. The walls were thin and we could hear doors slamming, and showers being run from other rooms.

Their breakfast area seems extensive but I don't think it should cost what it says it does. We stayed 4 nights and the food did not change and got boring, and walking around you can get a coffee and a pastry for a lot cheaper even in La Rambla area. The breakfast attendants were super attentive and friendly though which is a nice start to each day.

Handy for Ramblas and next to great restaurants. Am sure it was great when it opened but has not aged well. Some rooms too hot, some too cold and the solution I was told was to open the window. Breakfast was good with many options. Rooms are clean but tired. Don't take rooms ending in 9 or 10 as they are over the front door and onto the street. Short walk to train.
