Hotel Suizo

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Suizo. The property boasts an excellent location in the heart of the Gothic Quarter, allowing easy access to many of Barcelona’s cultural landmarks, shops, and restaurants. The front desk team provided outstanding service—always courteous, helpful, and attentive. A particular highlight was the breakfast buffet, which offered a wide variety of fresh and delicious choices, making each morning a pleasure. Overall, Hotel Suizo delivers comfort, convenience, and excellent hospitality. Highly recommended for both leisure and business travelers.

Excellent value hotel right in front of the L4 metro. Walking distance to most places or direct train few stops away. Morning breakfast cafe right in front of hotel too with good latte. Lift tho is slow n small. Best to take the lower floor rooms n walk the stairs

5 day stay in August - location is absolute gold. It’s directly in between the medieval and gothic cities and you are a 5-10min walk from a number of cafes, restaurants, bars, museums, and shops. It’s a 20min walk to the beach. Honestly, there are better beaches in other countries so don’t go just for the beach. The facilities were clean and staff friendly. The food and culture is one of a kind and we spent every second of those 5 days exploring.

Front desk staff was a dream! So helpful and pleasant to deal with. I must’ve driven them crazy with all my suitcases and opening them before we even checked in looking for my charger, but they didn’t bat an eye, helped me get each one out from the back so I could search for it! Only downside was room size, pretty cramped but typical for European hotels. Balcony was teeny tiny too. Bed not the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on but did the trick for 2 nights. Location is absolutely fantastic, easy to walk to anywhere in Barcelona from here. Cannot comment on the breakfast as we did not have any there, went to nearby Cappuccino cafe across the street for that. Hotel itself was a nice stay, just wish the room was a little bigger. But front desk staff makes it all worth it, service by them was unbeatable!

This hotel received a very high rating from me in relation to the cost, and to my delight, it even exceeded my expectations.

I only have good things to say about the hotel. Perfect location. Fair price. Excellent service and shiny and well-maintained rooms.

Perfect choice for a hotel in the Gothic Quarter, in my opinion the best one you can choose in Barcelona. The rooms are not really big but not small either.

The room is cleaned every day. There is a small fridge in the room and a safe with a mechanical key rather than a digital one (much safer).

You can store your luggage on arrival and departure and they are willing to help with any matter, Including taking your shopping to your room. No need to hesitate at all, this is the best value for money hotel you will find.

We had a great 1 night stay at Hotel Suizo. The location is great - next door to an EXCELLENT bakery, by the metro, and in the old quarter of the city. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was small - we had one on the 5th floor with a sky light rather than a window, but the a/c worked well and the skylight was cool. The bathroom was up to date. I recommend. We also got the breakfast buffet. Plenty of food, including eggs, yogurt, various breads and meats. Coffee was from an automatic machine, several juice options. Or of course you could go pick up something at the bakery next door instead. Oh and we were able to check in a bit early. They also store bags as needed.

cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. In an truly fabulous part of the Gothic District, with a metro stop out front, and days of streets and alleys to explore, perfectly situated in Barcelona. And we had 3 small balconies to stand on and observe all the craziness going on beneath us. Clean, comfortable, and so welcoming. From the moment we entered the lobby, every single person we encountered was warm, welcoming, and helpful. I have never been as sad to leave a hotel than I was at the end of our stay here.

Just what we wanted in Barcelona; a small local hotel in a great location with easy access to the city. Subway is right at the front door and it's an easy system to navigate anywhere. Room was clean yet a little small. Remember the A/C is not like US hotels and it took us a few days to learn. We also kept the curtains closed which kept more of the August sun and heat out of the room.

All the staff were friendly and very helpful. Front desk helped us reserve a rental car and told us how to get to central station. They also helped us with some reservations for other tours.

Onsite restaurant for breakfast buffet is a great value for 14 euros. Eggs and many meats and sausages along with bakery items.
