We stayed at the Petit Palace for a couple of nights thinking it was a four star hotel as described. It’s a nice hotel, don’t get me wrong, but I don’t think it rises to the four star level. It’s a nice three star though.
Location is great within walking distance of lots of shops and restaurants and attractions. Staff was nice enough- not overly friendly but attentive. Hotel room was very small with minimal, bland decor. We had two large suitcases for our two week stay in Spain and it was not possible to open them both at the same time for lack of room. The pillows were either too hard or too flat but I didn’t ask for different ones. Maybe they would have given me better ones. Nice large bathroom and shower. Air conditioning was nice and cold. The hotel had a decent rooftop pool and hot tub (but no gym)with some nice loungers and tables with an awning for shade which we enjoyed using one afternoon.
So the hotel is fine. A solid three star, maybe 3.5 star hotel on average. I’d stay again but not at four star hotel prices.

Very clean and central hotel. Room was big and spacious with loads of storage. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Very relaxing by the pool area. Loads of choice for breakfast. We had a very nice relaxing staff, would highly recommend this hotel if visiting Barcelona.

in addition to being located in a more luxurious neighborhood and positioned close to the center, it is also very well equipped in terms of services with an exceptional breakfast that satisfies all desires! When I come back to Barcelona, I will definitely choose you again! Thank you!

Andrei and Ricky were all smiles from the moment I checked in. The room was clean and the rooftop pool a nice spot to relax and meet other guests. The breakfast buffet was top notch and kept me going until dinner time. Overall I have nothing but positives to say and will stay with them again on my next trip to Barcelona!

My stay at this hotel in Barcelona was simply perfect from start to finish. The location is ideal, the rooms are modern, clean and very comfortable - but the absolute highlight was the service.
Special thanks go to Bruno from the service team. He greeted us with a warm smile at check-in, gave us helpful tips for restaurants and sights and kept asking us throughout our stay whether everything was to our satisfaction. His attentive, friendly and at the same time professional manner made our vacation something very special.
It is rare to feel so welcome and well looked after in a hotel. Thanks to Bruno and the whole team, we felt at home - only with a lot more sun and tapas.
I can recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to experience not only accommodation but also genuine, personal service in Barcelona. We will definitely be back!

I had a terrible experience with Sunotel Club Central in Barcelona and strongly advise others to avoid this place. I reserved a room at a good rate, but they pretended my payment hadn't gone through 3 times in a row despite the fact I used 2 different valid Visa cards and then simply decided to cancel my booking. It's clear they were trying to back out of the offer they gave me because it didn't suit them financially.
Reading past comments, it is clear this is common practice for them..
This behavior is unacceptable and shows a complete lack of professionalism and integrity.

My booking was cancelled by the hotel just a few days before our visit without prior warning. When I called the hotel they where rude and did not want to help but rather asked me to re-book the rooms that now was double the price.

Sunotel is a beautiful, comfortable, and cozy hotel that offers an excellent experience in the center of the city. The location is unbeatable – it’s surrounded by fantastic restaurants and shops, making it easy to explore the best of Barcelona. The rooms are stylishly furnished and well-equipped, making for a pleasant stay. The staff is friendly and attentive, adding to the overall charm of the place. The only downside was the thin walls, as sounds from neighboring rooms were sometimes noticeable. Overall, a wonderful option for anyone looking to stay in a vibrant part of the city.

Hotel is generally OK but given the amount paid I would definitely stay elsewhere - Why? The photos are generally misleading and the rooms are small and the pool area is only a basic waterhole.
At €16-20/ person for breakfast then forget it and get something great elsewhere at the many restaurants nearby. When asking to get reimbursed for several days of pre-paid breakfast at check-in that I didn't yet consume, the answer is "you should have not paid for them in advance"- basically "tough luck", not "sorry, the breakfast is overpriced".

Great hotel, perfect location. The room is very small though, I'd say good size for a single, but too small for a couple. Bathroom needs updating - shower head is spreading water from the hose attachment and the water does not drain very well. There is a stain on the bathroom door (dirty fingerprints) since we checked in and wasn't properly cleaned all 3 days that we stayed. Lovely pool area and jacuzzi on the roof though 👌
