Occidental Diagonal 414

We were super impressed with our stay here! The hotel was so gorgeous and excellent value for money, with the room being comfortable and modern. Always spotlessly clean, and staff were super friendly. The complimentary cava in reception is an added bonus! Location is safe and fab, with excellent bus routes to wherever you need to get to in the city. I would definitely stay in this hotel again if i was to visit Barcelona again!

I stayed in this hotel last November and it was one of my most favorite hotels of all time. The staff was very helpful in helping us switch our rooms as I wanted one with the view. If you are thinking about getting breakfast there - DO IT! The variety of food is insane and everything is very delicious. Though the rooms are a little small, it's more than enough for two people. Additionally, the location was perfect. It was near all the main attractions as well as Metro station that can take you to the airport and/or train station. Very clean and beautiful hotel! 10000/10 recommend!

The rooms were nice but a bit odd, the bathroom sink is in the center of the room. The bathroom and shower door is very hard to open if you have fake nails, I have quite short nails but still almost got stuck inside. There’s no where to put anything in the shower either which is frustrating when you have to place your shower items on the ground. We got late checkout to 3pm (which we paid for) but promptly at noon (normal check out time) we were locked out of our rooms. We went downstairs to get a new key card, and that one didn’t work either, after 3 trips downstairs with keys that wouldn’t work, they finally came up and unlocked it for us. This took 15-20 minutes which was frustrating when we had to get ready to leave for our flight. Normally I’d say this was a one off occurrence, but the couple we were traveling with had the exact same thing happen to them at the same time. So something is off with their system.
The rooftop is VERY small, the photos make it look larger. But, it was still very nice up there and even in August we were able to find a spot at the tiny pool. Close to the metro and an easy spot to be picked up by a taxi, also pretty close to some historical sights.

The Occidental Diagonal 414 is excellently located. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival. Our sleep quality was excellent, the climate was just perfect.
During our stay, we received a survey via email asking about our current experience. After mentioning that the water pressure in the shower was not optimal, we were promptly called, and a technician was sent to fix it.

The rooftop bar offers a beautiful view, and there is a pool where you can actually swim. Despite some previous reviews suggesting otherwise, the pool is indeed suitable for swimming. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Super clean! My trip consisted of a few hotels and the occidental was the cleanest. The rooms are on the small side but it is a cool concept since the bathroom is not enclosed to save on space. I really appreciated the steamer in the room! Loved the rooftop pool and lounge to hang out. Great views up there! Highly recommend this hotel.

The Occidental Diagonal 414 Hotel is located in a nice pleasant area with plenty of hidden food gems around it. The hotel is modern with facilities including a rooftop bar, restaurant, gym, and pool (for chilling not swimming) and with spectacular staff (Eva is a blessing). The rooms are quite tight but well equipped and maintained also clean and tidy.

Super clean, well designed rooms, comfortable beds. You feel relaxed the second you enter the lobby. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful! About a 5-15 minute walk from tons of restaurants and bars in Eixample, right next to a metro station as well! One of the best hotels we have stayed at by far.

A great place to stay for a quick visit to Barcelona! Everything is new, clean, modern and well run. The rooftop bar is marvelous ✨

I've stayed here twice in the last few months and it's a consistently good hotel. Very clean, modern, comfortable, well run, nice front desk staff and in a great location. I'd recommend and plan on returning.
