Oriente Atiram Mini-hotel

Oriente Hotel is a mix bag of good and not so good. Staff are great - helpful, courteous and professional.

The rooms are sparse with little to no amenities. Typical hotels at the price range we paid you would expect a coffee maker, small fridge, some snacks for purchase, full length mirror and even free bottled glass of water. Our hotel room did not have any of these. The bathtub only has shampoo and bath gel. No conditioner, no lotion. Limited outlets near bedside. Slow Internet.

Maybe it was our room location but it was loud in the evening to well past midnight.

Finally, on Expedia it states this hotel has its own car park. No it does not.

The only car park is a public car park around the corner. It’s decent though avoid if you have a mid to large vehicle.

I rarely give low ratings but maybe because we drove a long ways and I was expecting a good night’s rest here. That didn’t happen.


We stayed at the hotel as a couple for 3 nights and were given a room on the first floor facing a small alley. The rooms on this floor had been recently renovated (see photos).

Pros:

Very comfortable beds.

The room was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated.

A small balcony is available for smokers.

Excellent location!

Friendly and helpful service.

Cons:

You can hear the subway passing by.

Poor soundproofing between rooms—we could hear guests talking in the next room.

The shower needs improvement. It has a curtain instead of a proper enclosure, so water tends to leak out. The sliding door also makes it less convenient. Additionally, there’s no ventilation, and it’s a shared bathroom setup.

Tip: If noise bothers you, consider asking for a room on a higher floor.
