Hotel Voramar Mallorca in Cala Millor

We were booked into this hotel from 11th to 14th July 2024, and the experience was far from enjoyable. I booked through ******* expecting that this would help if any problems arose. Upon arrival, we checked in, paid in full, and went to our room. It was immediately evident that the air conditioning was not working, and I reported this to reception. The room was unbearably hot and could not be slept in. Reception did not get back to me with any solution, leaving me with no choice but to check out and book into another hotel where all amenities were functioning.I demanded a refund at the time and, to date, nothing has been received. The hotel in general was far below standard. The carpets in the hallways and stairwells were in terrible condition, and the staff, as noted, were far from helpful. I was leaving the hotel after checking out and packing my car when I was finally offered alternative accommodation — far too little, far too late. To make matters worse, I have emailed the hotel on several occasions and they have not had the common courtesy to even acknowledge my messages. I cannot understand why ******* continues to allow a hotel that treats its customers in this way to advertise on your platform.

I express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your hotel. From the moment we arrived, the experience was far from acceptable, and I feel compelled to share the issues we encountered.

Firstly, the hotel staff were unhelpful and dismissive, which left me feeling extremely distressed. The room we were assigned had no working air conditioning, rendering it unfit for purpose, especially considering the high temperature. When I initially called reception, I was told the issue was being looked into. My wife and I waited in the room for over an hour—it was unbearably hot, like a sauna.

After a second call to reception, I was informed that nothing could be done until the next day, which was clearly unacceptable. I voiced my concerns, and again the receptionist said she would get back to me, but no action was taken. After a further 45 minutes, I went to reception personally, by which time my wife was beginning to feel unwell due to the heat, and the entire situation was causing both of us considerable angst and distress.

Eventually, a barman was sent to the room who confirmed the air conditioning was not working and stated there was nothing he could do. At that point, we decided we could not remain at the hotel under these conditions and requested a refund. The receptionist informed me that, because we had booked through *******, a refund was not possible.
