Friendly staff and good cheap coffee at the bar. Nice location. However, the family room was tiny with very thin, paper-like walls. Extremely noisy—you can hear everyone around and the streetcars outside.

The rooms were comfortable. Very clean. We enjoyed our stay. We had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant.

As a two star hotel, it kind of lives up to the expectations, but the bathroom had some rust here and there, the toilet seat was shaky, and the bed/mattress were horrible.
Plus sides: AC in the room, clean bedding, working blinds, soap/shampoo available, very centrally located and good staff.
Would come again only if nothing else is available, overall a good stay if you want to save up and have a good location.

Great if you're looking for a budget hotel. Very clean, really nice, friendly staff, decent continental breakfast. Fairly good facilities but no mini fridge or kettle & a good 25min walk to Palma Cathedral. Comfortable rooms, great shower & a separate TV room you can use, with a few toys for the kids. Overall we would recommend this hotel.

The hotel is located perfectly, just 10 minutes walk from the city centre and the shopping area. The cathedral is a longer walk -30 to 40 minutes but it was never an issue. Palma is all about walking and exploring! The staff is very nice, welcoming, helpful, and chatty. The room was basic but very clean and spacious with comfortable beds. There is a small gym and a terrace available every day. It was perfect for my morning yoga practice! The breakfast is enough to get you going in the morning, there is an option to 'top it up' at the restaurant with some eggs and bacon.
It's only a two-start hotel but I have been to 4-star ones with worse facilities so I do recommend this lovely place!

EN: Single room was very pure and nice, with terasse and beautiful view on 5th floor. Comfortable bed, clothes rack, air conditioning, clean bathroom with hairdryer. Cleaning was every day. Very kind personal in reception - helpful about taxi, breakfast or information about Palma. Walk 10 minutes and you are in the square Esplanya. From airport you can go by bus A1 and get off in this square. SK: Izba pre jednu osobu bola veľmi čistá a pekná, na piatom poschodí s terasou a krásnym výhľadom. Posteľ bola pohodlná, v izbe je tiež vešiakový stojan, klimatizácia, kúpeľna aj s fénom. Upratovanie prebiehalo každý deň. Na recepcii je veľmi milý a ochotný personál, radi vybavia taxi alebo podajú info ohľadom mesta. Za 10 minút pešou chôdzou sa dostanete na námestie Esplanya, ktoré je v centre.

I was lucky enough to find Hotel Abelay and happy I did. I stayed for 4 nights. Its an 8 minute walk from Plaza Espanya (the transportation hub) and located in a quiet section of Palma, as well as bring very reasonably priced.Taking the airport bus which stops at Plaza Espanya its an easy walk to the hotel. I was given a double room which also had a small balcony.The room and bathroom were spacious enough and very clean! Everyone on Reception were polite and friendly and especially Sergi who checked me in and helped me with info. He also helped me check in for my return flight when I could not do it from my mobile phone for some reason. He was very helpful and kind!There is a Mercadona supermarket just 3 minutes up from the hotel which I used daily! Only downside is that there is no fridge in the rooms which is something I missed as you want to have a cool drink at anytime etc among other things(especially in warmer weather). I solved that problem for myself by buying 1 kilo ice bags from Mercadona along with a cooler shopping bag. I would layer one on bottom fill with my drinks and snacks I wanted to keep cool and layer with another bag on top. I kept it in the shower cubicle and this kept intact overnight. I repeated the next day. Its a solution that worked for me! Of course the hotel has bottles of ice water to buy and a small restaurant with a menu of the day which I did not use..nor the breakfast for a fee. I would surely stay at Hotel Abelay again !

Stayed at the hotel for 16 nights and could not fault it in any way. Modern, very clean, friendly nice staff, well organised hotel in a nice neighbourhood which we enjoyed exploring the streets and mingling with the locals. Continental breakfast was good value for €6 and kept up going for hours. We could walk to the bus/train station in about 15 minutes and could get a bus to different parts of the island. Top tip is to tap in and out with a bank card as it’s 40% less. The centre of town is a nice 20 minute stroll and there are shortcuts once you have been there for some time. We spent most evenings in the neighbourhood’s tree lined boulevards dining outside the many bars and restaurants and people watching. It’s lovely to observe a different way of life and how the warm climate makes life so much more enjoyable. We enjoyed sunbathing and swimming in the lovely Can Pastilla beaches of Playa de Palma which we reached by local buses it was easy to get there and back from the centre of town. Thank you Hotel Abelay and staff for a lovely stay (wish l had got the name of the very kind young man on reception mornings/afternoon he was so helpful and spoke so nicely to us). Also the adjoining restaurant/bar was good and very reasonably priced for meals.

Great hotel just outside the centre about 10 mins walk until your in the centre anout 30 mins from the port area but a nice walk via the city centre. Reception staff really friendly. A supermarket on the road really handy for picking up bits like water for the room. Rooms are a good size with everything you need, a decent hairdryer in the bathroom which is a bonus. We had a little balcony which was really lovely. The hotel has a small terrace with a few sun loungers which is a nice place to chill. We left our baggage on the last day and collected it later which was really handy, a nice safe room available for this.
