Hotel Esplai

On arrival check in was fine rooms were clean but very disappointed as we was told there was entertainment every night and there was absolutely nothing so this was falsely advertised shut main bar after first night and and not a great choice of food and drinks given to all inclusive guests which we were we had to eat out everyday we would not stop at this hotel again although callela is a lovely place to go also the pool is too small for the size of the hotel also transfer to and from the hotel didn’t pick or drop us off outside hotel we had to walk and find the hotel and then to see the coach drive past us once we arrived

Upon myself and my partners arrival we were quick to learn about this hotel. We had paid for a double room and we’re given 3 single beds, when this was brought up to the receptionist he was incredibly rude and uncaring as he said “there is no problem” “ there was nothing he could do” that he had no other rooms for us. When we asked for the extra single bed he said it couldn’t be removed as they had nowhere to put it. That did annoy me as he had nowhere to put the bed but yet the room has no kitchen, fridge, only 1 socket to charge phone unless you wanna charge another one in the bathroom, AC just about works, stains on the walls in the room with unclean sink water and a shower that occasionally has hot water. The front door does not lock either and the balcony door doesn’t even close all the way which leaves it half open at night meaning it’s not safe. There’s been reposts of the cleaners taking stuff from the rooms and this morning we heard a knock at the door, my partner went towards the door but before she could even open it the door had opened and the cleaners tried to enter. There was no time given to reach the door and open it they just let themselves in.down at the pool all the beds are taken at 9 o’clock sharp people queue to get the beds. The pool is absolutely freezing as well as that staff here are incredibly rude and have a sense of not caring about anything. Everywhere we look in this hotel something is unclean. Also everyone looks at us like we had 3 heads and they stare. We feel very unsafe and unwelcome in this hotel and we DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First night we found a blood stain in my friends bed. Told the desk but they didn’t understand us so my friend had to sleep in the bed regardless. Complained the next day and someone eventually changed the bed sheets. On top of it, we had I had breakfast and the food was awful, I cracked an egg and there was black yolk!! This is dangerous and can cause people to get I’ll. the last 3 days I have complained and the manager is avoiding me. I had a member of staff tell me “maybe it’s just a bad egg” after explaining about the breakfast. Manager has no customer service structure! DO NOT STAY HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT!!

Nothing like ona picture , ait con was not workingthen got fixed , when we ask for remote to control air cone whe have been told no as its manager decision that one can not have one. Food very very average wish I didnt go all inclusive. Lots and lots of kids so forget about space at the pool as there is only few tables so all you can do is go away from a hotel for late evening chill. Rooms are super tiny and as on a picture it's not too clean. I understand its 3 stars but I have seen better. First two days was raining and all kids in a hotel had absolutly nothing to do bless them. Would I come back? No absolutely not.

I am devastated that I have worked all year to pay for this holiday. The staff are rude and impolite except for the cleaners who are lovely. The bar staff are extremely impatient, and ignorant, you seem to be inconveniencing them when trying to be served as they are too busy eating each others face. If you have decided to go all inclusive and intend to stay at the hotel all day by the pool be prepared to wait an hour in line for a sunbed and even then you need to stay within eyeshot as it will be taken if your not careful. The pool area is dirty and tiles are missing from the pool. By the end of the day the bins are over flowing and rubbish is scattered everywhere. On our first day a young lad was rushed to hospital due to slipping on the pool ladders which resulted in him needed stitches. There are 3 ladders to the pool but all are unstable, 2 are unusable. The jacuzzi must only be used if your vaccines are up to date, the water is cloudy and discoloured. The rooms are absolutely disgusting, broken beds, dirty curtains, leaking toilets. The room has a terrace however it is unusable as the air-conditioning unit is out there kicking off immense heat. The entertainment is an absolute joke, two lasses dancing for 30 minutes by the pool side to the same sound track everyday. On a night the same two girls doing the same in what is classed as the bar. Once again though only one serving and most of the time what you want is off so your stuck with the same drink. No air-conditioning in the bar so you can't sit comfortably. Now let's talk about the food if you can call it that. It is shocking, inedible in fact. We have all been struck by the trots due to it, its under or over cooked. My son got a boiled egg which was black inside. You have to queue for about 30 minutes to be seated and then your met with a buffet which is not fit for a dog. The people are rude and appear to hate the British. They constantly give you sly looks, they will not acknowledge your presence unless your in the shops and they follow you round like your shop lifting. If you do leave your room you must go to reception on your return to get your key card recharge as it won't work. If you ask why it isn't working, its your fault as apparently this card must not touch anything so God knows where your ment to put it. One thing for sure I would not advise anyone to stay here nor come to Callela as it is as rough as toast. 3 star rated hotel is a joke and I don't understand how it has this rating.

Everything was clean I can’t complain But the two nights I spent on room 633 were unbearable. At 11 I clock every nigh, since I was next to the service elevator, they started working I don’t know on what and couldn’t sleep until, in both nights, at 1 am had to call reception and ask them to please stop it. The second morning I woke up at 6:30 am to the sound of what I imagine is the washing mashing and the workers getting ready. Please if you have a service elevator and you know you’re going to need to get work done between those hours don’t arrange a guest room right next to it. Today, my second day of vacation I got to sleep 5:30 hours because of this. Terrible will never ever in my worst nightmare return, what you care when you’re choosing an hotel is to at least be able to sleep…. Adding to this situation, the was no ramp for the strollers or bags and the maitres was of the lowest quality there is.
