Reviews
First impression was great, room was ready hours ahead of the usual check in time (something we had requested due to our early flight/arrival time). Check in was quick & easy. We were all inclusive so were provided our wristbands & went straight for lunch.
Food in the restaurant was standard an all inclusive inclusive hotel, by which I mean it's cheap but edible. Plenty of choice most days for main dishes & desert, although if you're lactose intolerance like myself, keep an eye on what some dishes have in them & you can only really have fruit for desert.
Drinks & snacks at the bars (inside & outside) were okay. Cocktails weren't to our liking (very sweet) but the other drinks were fine (the usual vodka, rum & beer which was Amstel, and soft drinks including slushys for children). Special mention for Erin behind the outside bar who went above & beyond with our son (and other children) to make it easy & them feel comfortable when ordering.
Room was larger than expected with 2 balconies (one inside & one outside). The outside balcony does have a sea view, albeit with other bars/restaurants & hotels blocking some of it. Room was clean & cleaned daily. We did only have one large towel between us the first day & when asking a maid outside our room door if we could have another 2, she advised its impossible as she's not our maid.. Strange.. But we just took 2 off her cart when she went inside another room.
Hotel pool looks exactly like photos & although small, is 6ft deep & we had a great time in it (not big enough for large inflatables).
Beach is about 2 min walk away which is fantastic if you just want to get changed ASAP.
Only real negative for us was the weakness of the air-conditioning & the noisy guests. Our room took along time to cool & it was between 36-39 degrees when we were there. Same with reception, it was only turned on of an evening when the entertainment performed.
Other guests also don't know how to quietly close doors, although not the hotels fault, I recommend to the hotel to change all doors to quiet closing ones to avoid this in the future.
Thank you
Other than that the food was alright, a good variety of foods for lunch and dinner but some dishes were quite salty but only about 4 of them. The staff were all friendly and couldn't fault the staff who all worked extremely hard whom we really did appreciate everything they do. The room would have been nice if it had been cleaned prior to arrival, bedding was clean atleast. Location was perfect. Drinks were hit and miss, the coffee machine coffees were overly sweet without adding sugar and the fruit juices were also extremely sweet but that could be personal preference, beer was good!
It it wasn't for my earring going missing, door being broken and someone entering our room with reception not knowing who it was, we would have stayed again. I'm extremely upset about my earring going missing as it was very sentimental and was certainly not cheap, its a real shame. The room was only cleaned once in the four days.
Food: A good variety of food such as rice, pasta, wedges and vegetables plenty of fresh salad and different meat options, there was a lot of pork during my 7 night stay, desserts are very good and made well and the breakfast option is 5* very desirable pancakes, this hotel has a good chef and the ice-cream options are good. Very family friendly, Soft drinks such as lemonade and orange from the machine are nice and cold, the only drink I ovoided was pepsi as i found it to be slightly watery , the pool bar has hotdogs, nachos, soft serve icecream and slush drinks in the afternoon, Anna was overworked at times in the heat, it would be good if there was two people out there at peak times to help her as it gets very busy between 3pm and 5pm but she does a good job and is always friendly. there are a good variety of hot drinks from the machine such as hot chocolate and coffee and the options to have a variety of tea's. The inclusive Cocktails come from a machine behind the bar, they are ok but would be better if they had fresh ingredients and the third night i was here they ran out of vodka, the drinks with a star next to them are not included in the all inclusive but there are bars close by if you want a drink with fresh ingredients, unfortunately there where lots of plates and cups piled up with cigarette butts in side along the stairs left by disrespectful guests that had taken plates and cups to their room and not respectfully returned them back to the restaurant area which meant that by the end of my stay you could no longer eat food anywhere but the very hot dining area which was unfortunate but understandable as it is not fair on staff to have to clean that kind of mess, it is a shame there where so many guests that lacked respect but this is not the hotels fault
Hotel general area: I found the hotel to be quite hot as the air con is not very strong but seemed to have gotten cooler when the manager was there, cleaner left my balcony door open a few times which made the room hot and stuffy and not completely secure, the first morning I was taking the stairs but the stairs where very slippery and i slipped which left me very bruised so i recommend taking the elevators, be patient the elevators are a little slow compared to ones in the uk
Pools: indoor pool is a bit dark and the water is quite cold but the outdoor pool os very nice, the water is a good temperature but I had to leave the pool as there where 3 young men splashing eachother and unapologetically splashing other guests as well as being quite aggressive with the ball which hit a few other guests in the pool amd sun bathing multiple times and unfortunately the life guard did not ask them to stop but she did stop a young child jumping in the pool perhaps she felt intimidated by the young men but it was not fair on the other guests who wanted to swim and not be splashed or hit. I would have notified the front desk but assumed that if the lifeguard was fine with it then it may not be scalated.
Over all: hotel is family friendly with a good variety of food, good value for money and the location is desirable⛱️
Travel: if you take the bus 324 or 315 near the aldi up the road you can get to Alcudia in under an hour Alcudia has white sand and a larger beach, to return it is the same bus back, get off at the can picafort center stop, many shops surround the hotel that sell sun cream aftersun and other items such as clothes and other essentials if you walk slightly further away from the hotels you will find the same items are sold for lower prices 😊
The only inconvenience was water in the SPA area's swimming pool and jacuzzi, it was simply not warm enough, even a bit cold.
In my humble opinion, the gym area could use some free weights - a rack of dumbbells, maybe some barbell - instead of some of the cardio equipment, as I think there was too much of it for such a small space and not many people seem to use it. On the other hand, the cable machine is amazing!
Lastly, we send our special regards to Claudio and Vincent!
