We are quite familiar with this hotel's new chain owner, so it was a surprise to find it slightly underprepared for the number of visitors that weekend. The result was a chaotic check-in (and check-out), subpar catering on the first day, and a number of small details that could only be tolerated because the personnel's courteous and unstoppable willingness to solve and eliminate those faults was noticeable...

Nice location and hotel, however the staff members are not trained in hospitality. The hotel manager was very nice and tried to solve some issues. F&B department needs a lot of training on the other hand unfortunately. Overall I would say from a hospitality person that this hotel is a 3 stars.

Fantastic place to getaway for a holiday, unspoilt, no English bars,nice to mix with different nationalities, think it might be getting a refurbishment, saw couple of fellas walking around with draughtsman drawings,which would be a bonus even if its just a minor one. One complaint, smoking areas should be monitored, people ignoring the rules.

We had a very pleasant stay. The room was wonderful and the beds (even daughters extra bed) were very comfortable. We loved the pools and the daughter was always entertained with all the activities. For a 4 star hotel I was expecting better rooms. The side view sea was a deception. The way the walls are made don't allow to have great view from the balcony. Very good experience overall, nice pools, bedroom could me more confortable, restaurant should be improved for making healthy vegetables dishes without addition of specific sauces because in case of babies it will prejudice food routine, a lot of fun activities to kids and also adults. Great place to stay with the kids and perfectly located right next to the beach. Only downside is that dinner is served after 9pm and entertainment is after 10:30pm so if you have young children they might not last fo catch the shows.

Lovely hotel, rooms a little basic. Breakfast was a challenge as the hot food was always on the cool side and the bacon was like chewing rubber. Location is on the quiet side but the grounds and pool area definitely the best bit of the hotel.

Very good Hotel with a wide range of services and activities to do inside it. The food is good, where you have different dishes for all wishes and tastes. Everyday you have an after dinner show, where you can enjoy and laugh with the performance of Ernesto. You can also participate in the show. Definitely, was an experience which we'll repeat.

Amazing hotel with good service, good food variety and nice bedrooms. Nonetheless, has loads of kids and can be a bit noise in the nights. It's 3min walk from the beach. The hotel has a entertainment team that every day in the morning, afternoon and night have some activities for everyone (pool party, dance party, foam party, slides, hydro party, polo aquatic games).

Overall it’s an ok place. Room is nice, though balconies facing the back pool are very noisy. Breakfast is a mixed bag with some nice items but some of the staff are poorly-trained and could be more hospitable to guests. Services are limited outside of the summer season and the outdoor pool was closed. Definitely some improvements can be made but more or less ok, especially if you’re a golfer.

Hotel and service is good but not more then average.between eating times there is not a lot of snacks to get. dinner rooms are not very large so it can be crowdy and also to get drink there is often time to wait.

The nearest supermarket is 10 minutes away, so it's a bit in the middle of nowhere. Rooms are amazing, lots of room and extremely clean. All inclusive is a bit weird as you have to pay for most of the survices even tho you booked all inclusive. Food is good, no more no less. It isn't anything special.

Only problem booked golf with a buggy due to wife's incapacity. First day was so busy took over 5 hours to play 13 holes, so we did not complete the round. Second day no buggy available for our tee time so the golf has been a waste of time.

Nice golf hotel with an excellent service. All staff very professional and the concept off three different choices at the three course dinner worked well. The golf course was in good shape and the greens held high standard. Unfortunately the driving range did not at all meet the standards. Old golf balls hard as stones. May is definitely a great time to visit! It’s just before the tourist crowds roll in for the summer. The weather is warm and the ocean is cold! This resort has a great pool, is just steps from the beach, and situated on a nature preserve. Quiet, and relaxing.

Hotel is great with a fantastic location and the staff are amazing, however as in many places sunbeds at the pool were reserved and not used and no controls over that leaving many guests with no place to sun bathe

Really Barcelo gets 3 for value for money. This should be a great location, however my first impression on arrival is, I'm a Sausage being processed by the machine. It's all great.
