The hotel is large, with a nice pool, a variety of snacks, great animation for children and adults, cleaned every day, with friendly and smiling staff. But unfortunately my room smelled musty and bad, I say that as constructive criticism!

A very beautiful hotel. Good views, nice rooms (a bit small for 2 adults and 2 children), great variety of food yeat it seems to be lack of staff on the preparation of food... Contrary to the cleaning of the dinning room: staff very attentive and quick. It could have longer periods for the meal serving, namely at lunch: could open a little early cause with little kids it's difficult to wait and afterwards...

We stayed here to attend an event and both the accommodation and catering were impressive. Clean, confortable rooms with stunning views. High quality and varied food served by caring staff. Top management there to help at any point.

It should be great but it just feels like the budget is tight and it just needs a shake up off how things are done to freshen it up. It's feels stale. A couple of great staff. Kevin behind the bar and Lydia a great hostess both friendly and interactive.

The rooms are very good, clean and spacious. The buffet isn't extraordinary. The snack bar could also have more food options. Even with the All Inclusive package many options are paid (mostly half price). The animation is weak. At night the animation is only indoors (4 years ago it was outdoors).

Great location, amazing staff and really awesome week in this hotel!! The food is great and it's the paradise for any celiac, they are really prepare for handling gluten free or other intolerances. The hotel is nice, especially the buffet if you eat there. You can have two communicating rooms if you are a family. You can walk to the sandy beach easily or swim in the hotel swimming pool which is pretty big. The gym has the best machines we have seen in Spain so far. The only drawback if you are not in full inclusive stay is that they make you pay for every little thing you want to do: the drinks...

Just love this place, lovely location, great hotel with friendly staff, lovely rooms and the food offering is always great. Been a few times now and will be returning. Strongly recommend booking directly rather than a package. This area of Spain is still relatively unspoilt with very little British influence. Very close by is the small but beautiful town of Ayamonte, you should visit, it's lovely...

Wonderful hotel, rooms lovely and clean nice decor and bed was big. All staff we encountered ( except the older man who was at the restaurant entrance taking room numbers) were lovely and friendly, especially Marie Carmen on table service. We went to this hotel because Vila Gale were promoting it with a special offer as it was their first hotel in Spain The hotel had some great facilities. The in-house Italian restaurant was very good, but I am judging it from the perspective of a mature couple. It was not our kind of hotel. It was far too big and too noisy. We are quite familiar with this hotel's new chain owner, so it was a surprise to find it slightly underprepared for the number of visitors that weekend. The result was a chaotic check-in (and check-out), subpar catering on the first day, and a number of small details that could only be tolerated because the personnel's courteous and unstoppable willingness to solve and eliminate those faults was noticeable...

Nice location and hotel, however the staff members are not trained in hospitality. The hotel manager was very nice and tried to solve some issues. F&B department needs a lot of training on the other hand unfortunately. Overall I would say from a hospitality person that this hotel is a 3 stars.

Fantastic place to getaway for a holiday, unspoilt, no English bars,nice to mix with different nationalities, think it might be getting a refurbishment, saw couple of fellas walking around with draughtsman drawings,which would be a bonus even if its just a minor one. One complaint, smoking areas should be monitored, people ignoring the rules.

We had a very pleasant stay. The room was wonderful and the beds (even daughters extra bed) were very comfortable. We loved the pools and the daughter was always entertained with all the activities. The buffet restaurant was good and plentiful. The Staff was 5 Star all the way, can’t say enough good things about them. For a 4 star hotel I was expecting better rooms. The side view sea was a deception. The way the walls are made don't allow to have great view from the balcony. The staff is very attentive, always available. During our stay we got rain and they were able to entertain everyone in an amazing way. There was not a single dull moment. I recently stayed at the playamarina for 7 days and 6 nights, on arrival to the hotel we were greeted at reception by staff who checked us in quickly, but language was a bit of an issue. We had an amazing family holiday in this Hotel. The food, the service, the staff, the facilities, the cleanes, were amazing. Very good experience overall, nice pools, bedroom could me more confortable, restaurant should be improved for making healthy vegetables dishes without addition of specific sauces because in case of babies it will prejudice food routine, a lot of fun activities to kids and also adults. The hotel is very good. It is worth booking a room with a frontal sea view. In general, it is similar to others on the network, but somewhat smaller and more convenient due to the smaller crowds. I recommend it.

Very nice place to relax and enjoy basic things in life. You should definitely visit their spa with relaxing massage session (I felt like a baby afterwards). Place is created for families - lots of activities for kids. Not a good place for young people who wants to party. The food is awesome.

Lovely 2 bed apartment, with dishwasher and washing machine which was a nice surprise. No kettle supplied as is usual, so don't forget to bring a travel kettle. We thought it was quite noisy at night until we discovered it was the security shutters knocking about in the wind, so when pulled them up that solved the noise!! Spent a week at the Melia Alantico and truly enjoyed my stay. The rooms were clean and the ocean view was fantastic. Very friendly staff and professional. I will have to say that the bar tender Jesus was the best. Had many laughs with him. Also many drinks. Will definitely consider going back.

Good location close to shops and walking distance to the beach. It has a swimming pool with limited hours. Spacious apartments, especially the lower ones with terrace. It is impossible to sleep on the sofa bed. The receptionist Ana had exquisite treatment, helping us with everything we needed. The wifi worked quite poorly.

The 2 bedroom apartments are smaller than expected. Some bed in poor condition. Lack of desirable elements in an apartment. The location is very good, close to the beach, not first line, and very close to the shopping center. The excellent pool. Parking spaces that are excessively narrow and expensive, in the ORA red zone, you can park for €2/day.

Great hotel, but this is a hotel predominantly used by Spanish and Portuguese. This led to some problems with language barrier, but in fairness to the staff they were very patient and helpful. Great place to stay with the kids and perfectly located right next to the beach. Only downside is that dinner is served after 9pm and entertainment is after 10:30pm so if you have young children they might not last fo catch the shows.

The hotel is very nice. The location is a little far from the airport, but it is worth it when you arrive. The room is very clean and has nice modern decor. Great place, lovely vibe. Rooms are super spacious and cozy, mattresses are made of stone, internet is barely useable, also from the stone age. (the wifi is 1.5Mb down... phone hotspot 40Mb down...which is also wireless... l o l ) Fine for a night though!

Lovely hotel, rooms a little basic. Breakfast was a challenge as the hot food was always on the cool side and the bacon was like chewing rubber. Location is on the quiet side but the grounds and pool area definitely the best bit of the hotel.

We have loved this hotel from the very first time, so we returned again after 2 years, the place near the sand afore, gardens of the hotel very nice, the town clean but poor in services and restaurants out of season, lots of buildings all empty end of may, must be very very crowded in high season. Very good Hotel with a wide range of services and activities to do inside it. The food is good, where you have different dishes for all wishes and tastes. Everyday you have an after dinner show, where you can enjoy and laugh with the performance of Ernesto. You can also participate in the show. Definitely, was an experience which we'll repeat.

Amazing hotel with good service, good food variety and nice bedrooms. Nonetheless, has loads of kids and can be a bit noise in the nights. It's 3min walk from the beach. The hotel has a entertainment team that every day in the morning, afternoon and night have some activities for everyone (pool party, dance party, foam party, slides, hydro party, polo aquatic games).

Standard room sizes decent but slightly older. If you taking half board or room on the service I would not recommend as there are no tea or coffee makers in the room. Overall it’s an ok place. Room is nice, though balconies facing the back pool are very noisy. Breakfast is a mixed bag with some nice items but some of the staff are poorly-trained and could be more hospitable to guests. Services are limited outside of the summer season and the outdoor pool was closed. Definitely some improvements can be made but more or less ok, especially if you’re a golfer.

The staff is nice, friendly, working hard since hilton reduced cost. Rooms are renovated and improved, but.. the buffet is slightly less than it was with Islantilla, you feel the american style in the reduction of the luxury experience. The staff tries to make amends and they almost do so, friendly, helpfull, always service with a smile, but they need to do twice the work and it shows. Still a nice...

Have been coming here for over 10 years. The golf is wonderful the staff even better. If you are looking for 5 star livery and a lovely nightlife this isn't the place for you but if you are happy with a good buffet selection including fresh fish and meat cooked on the grill, comfortable rooms, a great 27 home golf course and the most helpful staff some of whom have been here longer than I have been...

Great room. Family room for the two of us. A bit of a lucky last minute trip booking. Great long beaches. Also enough choice of food when you are enjoying all inclusive.

Hotel and service is good but not more then average.between eating times there is not a lot of snacks to get. dinner rooms are not very large so it can be crowdy and also to get drink there is often time to wait.

The nearest supermarket is 10 minutes away, so it's a bit in the middle of nowhere. Rooms are amazing, lots of room and extremely clean. All inclusive is a bit weird as you have to pay for most of the survices even tho you booked all inclusive. Food is good, no more no less. It isn't anything special.

Location is great, beautiful surroundings. The food in general tastes good tho they could have some more options on warm dishes. Rooms are marvelous, beds are nice and soft. Overal a great resort (also free WiFi everywhere which is capable of HD streams and video calls)

Charming and calm hotel with beautiful flowers (lots of jasmin) and a well kept garden, surrounded by orange and grenade trees. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They keep improving the hotel. The issues seen in the comments were solver when I stayed there (i.e. hairdryer and fridge in the room). Will go back when the chance arises.

Lovely hotel with very nice people at the reception, as well as the people attending the tables at breakfast time and the housekeepers. The room, a twin room with terrace, was big enough and with 2 confortable beds. Very clean and quiet. There is no hairdryer but you can ask for it at the reception. The hotel is in a silent and strategic position, perfect to reach all the best beaches and villages...

Quiet place out of the beaten path. We stayed in October. This was during low season and services were limited. Clean and well maintained. Breakfast has no hot items and coffee was not great.
