Very mixed reviews about this hotel. Overall, we stayed in 4 hotels in Spain throughout our holiday, all 4 stars, and this one was by far the most expensive and the lowest quality of experience.
Positives: A lovely lady checking us out, great breakfast, perfect location and one of the wider parking garages. Room is nicely decorated besides the bathroom.
Negatives:
- Air conditioning was not working - heating was turned on and we could not turn it off in any way. Our room was 34 degrees Celsius in the night!
- Very rude lady who was literally shouting at us because we asked for help to have the ramp open in the parking garage, telling me I was pressing the wrong buttons to call the reception, while at the same time the one she instructed me to use was actually broken and not working (we later saw the technician work on fixing it). Caused a lot of stress during arrival.
- Bathroom is not even for a 3-star hotel. It is old, doors are worn out, there was random hair in the sinks and the bathtub, everything looked bad.

Great location with a nice view of the ocean. Rooms were clean. Front desk seemed to cater to certain people only. Last day we requested late check out was approved. We showed back up to hotel and the cleaning staff were already halfway thru stripping down room. Gave us attitude and left. We were uncomfortable after that not wanting to use f ilities as it was cleaned for next patron. Ended up leaving to airport early. Very disappointing for our last day in Spain to end this way.

Nice hotel on a good location. It is fairly close to the city centre with shops and parking around. Lobby is pretty good and generally has good staff. 2 areas that require improvement though -
1. Mattresses are quite bad as you could feel the springs in them which doesn’t let you sleep well.
2. The swimming pool has 1 changing room for men and women. I find this quite inappropriate.

Stayed for the weekend, the adapted room is big and have enough space to manoeuvre with my powerchair. The wheel in show is big and plenty of space to manoeuvre. I have to say the sink should be bigger, at least so you can have space for your toiletries. As a whhelchair user the shower flexible should be flexible not rigid. It was a little difficult for me and i have full grip just imagine others with limited movement on their arms. Apart from that, everything was great had a fantastic weekend. : )

Good breakfast. Nice outdoor seating. To be a great breakfast you would need: A few more juice choices, pancakes, waffles.
Location was nice related to the bus station. Pool was in shadow which was great for really sunny days. A 15-20 min. walk to SoHo and the old town.
Missing showers by the pool/spa area.

Stayed at this hotel during my vacation in Malaga. Unfortunately there was a terrible stench of sewage outside at the entrance. The rooms were fine, breakfast was average. But it was terrible to come home to that smell at the entrance. I would like it to have been more centrally located, it was approximately 12 minutes walk to high street and 30 min to the beach.

My wife and I stayed here for a week. The room was very well taken care of. The hotel stay were very helpful and friendly with us. Break was GREAT with a lot of options. I plan on coming back to Malaga again next year and will be staying here again.

the rooms were good size and nice, however we found hair in the bath tub and the cups were dirty. the breakfast was super good however food didn’t taste very pleasing. the ambience and location is top and it’s fair for the price.

We stayed at the Ilunion Hotel in Malaga for two nights. Generally, the hotel was excellent with a fantastic location. It's within walking distance of all major attractions, shops, and the beach. However, due to the port location, the sea water cleanliness could be better. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby. The staff was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The room was clean, though a bit dated. Overall, we were very satisfied and highly recommend this hotel.

Possibly the best accommodation in terms of services and personnel. From the great reception staff to the always kind housekeeping ladies, everyone was willing to help on any kind of request or question. The social character behind the hotel and the all-people accessibility measures taken from braille inscriptions in all needed areas, from the ramps and the spacious elevators to the very spacious and spotless rooms, makes everyone feel so welcomed and cared for. I must highlight the exceptional Felix from the front desk that helped us so much during both our stays and is also a live example of humane and professional behavior at the same time. Excellent value for money at all possible ways. I highly recommend it for everyone visiting Malaga.
