Excellent location , beautiful & very clean hotel , staff are all very friendly & helpful. Can’t wait to visit again next year !!

Good location, friendly hotel staff and guests, rooms clean and tidy, loads of storage space, really good shower system, view from balcony exceptional and stunning, noise level low, great service in restaurant, food was delicious buffet style with a wide variety of dishes to choose from to suit all tastes. Outstanding hotel would definitely visit again.

Staff are friendly and super efficient. Food is excellent and location is first class. Thank you for making my wife and I very welcome and a special mention to Keith who went above and beyond to ensure our special request was fulfilled. Look forward to our next visit in May next year.

Everything about this hotel was first class, all areas very clean, views from room across the bay just wonderful to wake up to, food varied well presented. All staff from Mangers to cleaners friendly and helpful. The beach which is very sandy and just ten paces from hotel.

Location is fantastic, central and a few feet from the beach. Hotel is spotlessly clean. Restaurant is small but the food is of a high quality and there is good choice. We stayed half board and had some lovely meals, roast meats, vegetables, potatoes etc. Lovely desserts and great choice. The daytime entertainment was good, Elva (entertainer) is great and very friendly. Only negative is that the pool only opens at 9.30am and the queue starts at 8.30am. 9.30am is too late if im honest 9am would be a little better. Sunbeds get full very quick due to the queue, by 9.40am they are all taken. You can go to the beach and there's plenty of beds and parasols but its €22.50 per day so can get expensive.

Absolutely lovely hotel, the staff are amazing, always happy to help and very welcoming. Elva the Entertainer was an absolute delight to be around and really made the holiday experience fun and entertaining. She did games everyday and gave out prizes for the winners, it was always fun and everyone enjoyed it each day, it created a nice community of people that played the games each day. The evening entertainment was good and the evening meals always had a nice variety. I would definitely recommend this hotel. The only thing to note is that the floor from the pool to the Hotel is EXTREMELY slippery this should really have signs up and some matting put down to help with this.

Had a lovely 10 days here in April, weather mostly good apart from the winds. If you come here early in the season you have to bring jackets and trousers for the evenings. We had a nice room with a fabulous sea/pool view from balcony and a welcome pack including kettle, two small bottles of milk in the fridge and a large bottle of water. Pool not busy in April, never had a problem getting a lounger but I DID have a problem when I jumped in the pool! It was freezing! The pool temperature gauge said 19 Degrees, er no, just no. Food mostly ok, very good breakfast, they were obviously catering for the British, with fried bread and black pudding! The evening meals were hit and miss. My wife made a complaint about the fish being totally cold and tasteless, the waitress just stared at her and replied “oh, ok”. It was when I bit into my Yorkshire pudding and it was so dry it crumbled to dust that we decided to complain again. The manager came to see us and apologised but really, it’s not good enough, (I wouldn’t mind but we COME from Yorkshire! lol). That was the only incident though, rest of the holiday it was fine. The restaurant manager DID help us out one day when my wife had a minor stomach upset ( caused by a coach trip not the food ) he let me take her a bowl of soup up to the room, lovely guy. We visited a Globales hotel nearby to visit my stepson and it was full of very loud children running around (because of the Easter hols), it was so good to go back to the Oasis that is the Son Matias and relative peace and quiet! The only other minor complaints include: unspreadable butter and thin gravy/custard/jam, but there’s lots to like here, the friendly staff, the views, the entertainment, and also it’s very clean everywhere. It’s a good hotel for all ages but in my opinion it’s the best Hotel in Palmanova if you’re of a “certain age” We’ve decided we love this hotel and we would come back (maybe I’ll give the Yorkshire puddings a miss though ) Ps Love Corina

My wife & myself have just returned from a week's stay at the Son Matias Beach Hotel. Prior to arriving, we had contacted the hotel & requested a quiet room on a high floor! Upon arrival at the hotel, some 2 hours before the normal check-in time, we were pleasantly surprised to find that our room was ready! Check-in was completed within a couple of minutes, and we were in our room on the ninth floor via a fast lift. Two key cards are provided for the room. We liked the idea of the hotel being cashless, & the facility to charge everything to your room via the key card! Our room overlooked the bay with its balcony facing towards the area of Magaluf, & much to our delight, being on the corner of the hotel, enjoyed the sun, when it was out, most of the day. The room was well appointed with comfortable beds, a walk-in shower, mini fridge, large flat screen TV with plenty of English speaking channels if required. The hotel provides complimentary tea & coffee making facilities in the room. There was a large bottle of water & 2 small bottles of milk in the fridge to get us started. There are lots of supermarkets, including an Aldi, near the hotel, for water, milk, wine & beer! Throughout our stay, the room was cleaned to a very high standard. We must congratulate the hotel on the quality & size of the towels provided. They were changed daily, & coupled with the complimentary shower & hair gel dispensers made for an easy life. The hotel restaurant and the variety of food, both at breakfast & dinner suited us. Throughout our stay, I think the longest that we waited to be seated was a couple of minutes! There was always something on offer that ticked our boxes. The food was cooked to a high standard, always hot, & plentiful! Without exception, the staff in the restaurant were efficient, friendly & always helpful. If there was one opportunity for improvement, it would be the provision of decaffeinated coffee at breakfast, & possibly added to the room tea & coffee making facilities. We did ascertain that it was available upon request for breakfast from the bar in the lounge. Evening entertainment was ok, with a range of different singers & styles throughout our stay. Having said that, we did enjoy a couple of evenings playing bingo, & the quiz night that was organised by Corina, the Hotel Entertainer. Her lack of English made the occasions all the more enjoyable for us. The pool area was clean, & there were ample sunbeds to meet the requirements of guests. Corina organised the mini-golf & darts competitions the best she could under the circumstances! The weather wasn't the best for a few days of our stay! That said, the friendliness of all the staff at the Son Matias provided a sunny outlook for us whatever the weather was like in Palma Nova. Would we return, you can bet on it!
