Fantastic Stay
Excellent stay, we had a preferred club swim up pool room, it was fantastic. Staff are very friendly, nothing is too much trouble. We stayed bed & breakfast which was also good with plenty of choice. Just a couple of niggles, there is no waiter service around the pools and the gates to get in and out of the hotel from the promenade were temperamental.
Good location on the seafront,...
We had a fab time here. Our room was spacious, clean and had a fantastic view of the pool. Plenty of choices for breakfast, all very tasty. The pools are clean and the water has a pleasant temperature. The hotel is located next to a very beautiful beach and the marina. They arranged a surprise for my partner’s birthday. All staff are friendly and approachable. Cocktails by the preferred club pool were...
Decent stay
Good clean hotel with great service, still, didn’t feel any special about it being a 5* resort. Would have to stay at other places in Lanzarote to comment what’s better but Servatur Waikiki in Gran Canaria was at par with this one.
Location is great though for walking trips to playa Flamingo or Papagayo. Also playa Dorada is just outside.
Great place.
Was upgraded to room 1257 which had amazing views great size, but had 2 single beds. We asked if it could be made up as a double they said no as they dont have bedding big enough. We could move but to a lower grade room, so decided to stay in the one we were given and pushed the 2 singles together. It wasn't ideal for us but for 5 days we lived with it.
Hotel is in a great location...
Really helpful staff, very pleasant
Food was fabulous, buffet had great selection always. Service at a la carte could be slow though. Very convenient close to beach about 5 minute walk, Overall great hotel
The stay was fantastic. The only minor drawback was that we were unable to reserve a sunbed as they were fully booked, but 5/8 sunbeds did not get used at all on those days despite being marked as reserved.

stayed her 5th to the 12th December. all inc basis stayed here 3 years ago and we noticed some improvements and one area not so good. Pros, quick check in comfortable room [with safe at no extra cost} internet but with some "dead areas" around the hotel but overall good staff very good, guys at the pool bar serving always polite with a smile food was OK, 2 BBQ, one at lunch and one at dinner, superb...
We stayed here in December and thought the hotel was pretty much in line with what we expected for the cost. It was cheap, and a good location for exploring the island. Food - it was average, there was enough variety for meat eaters to not instantly get bored of the buffet. My partner is vegetarian and commented that the veggie food was quite salty and oily so that did get a boring quickly. The Italian...
Excellent experience animation team are amazing lots and lots of fun 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚❤️ great fun amazing food and hotel
Me and my partner stayed here for 4 nights (Dec 2025) 23 & 21 yrs old. The check in was quick and easy - receptionist provided us with a map as well as some other useful info like meal times etc. We arrived at night and we struggled to find our room at first, but we soon figured out the layout of the room numbers. Room was spacious, tv in the front area as well as the bedroom. The room had a fridge...
Rating: ★★☆☆☆ (2.5/5 — not a true 4-star experience)
After staying at HL Rio Playa Blanca, I genuinely don’t understand how this hotel is classed as a 4-star. In my opinion, it feels much closer to 2.5 stars at best.
Food & Dining — Edible but disappointing
The food is edible, but that’s really the best I can say. Most dishes were cold, lacked variety, and felt very repetitive. For a hotel advertising...

Very nice hotel, bit confusing to navigate at first. Not sure why all the serving staff are so unhappy and rude. Barely a smile, a hello or a thank you between them! Also hotel feels really understaffed.
Rooms are big and spacious, well cleaned. Unfortunately the room I stayed in had a few niggles, gap in the floor between laminate in the toilet, no covers on the door handles. Just little niggles...
Yes the bungalows are tired a lick of paint new footpaths and what a difference it would make
The staff are excellent couldn’t do enough for you from maintenance housekeeping front desk manager staff in the restaurant staff in the bar in the kitchen Couldn’t thank all of them enough they made our holiday so very special. Although there isn't alot around you 5 euros will get you to playa blanch in a taxi. This is the 2nd time we have been this year. The hotel has everything you need. We never left the hotel grounds this time to hot to walk about in it.would definitely recommend it for couples not a lot for children today. But the hotel it's self do have entertainment on at night. I will definitely be going back ...
4th time here in 9 years.
We come back because we feel it's great value for money and the facilities are great for the whole family including our ASD son.
Plenty of food and drinks to choose from although the restaurant can be a bit chaotic. You can pay extra for a more premium restaurant and bar experience but we have never felt the need to.
I see and hear people complain that this is not 5 star...
Booked as part of a package holiday, however we were not told that we couldn’t check in till 3pm (this is the fault of the holiday operator not the hotel).
Hotel itself is beautiful, some parts unused, the lower floors (unsure whether this is seasonal)
Food was of good standard and quality, however did not appear that was much options for children within the upgrade.
Wide range for adults, and snack...
Really amazing holiday, the best one we have had so far! We are a young couple and enjoyed a both relaxing and busy holiday. Good hotel for families
We have stayed here twice now and found it ok both times first was all inclusive the food is good feels a bit canteen like in the restaurants the pools are good both smaller ones and the big pool. Entertainment was good by the pool with the big mat got lots of engagement maybe they should do that daily
Lovely Family holiday
The heated pools were bonus, the food was reasonably varied & loads of selection. If your a picky eater or prefer british food advoid, there is choice but probably not enough.
Good few days away would go back ideal for familie
Booked for a few days and was definitely value for money had a spacious apartment for 3 adults ideal. We were on ground floor so had a terrace with table and chairs which was ideal sitting in the sun having breakfast lunch and a refreshing drink. Lovely pool friendly neighbours just a bit out from centre 30min walk but couple euros in taxi
Amazing place with great views and variety of activities for all age.
Staff at the hotel are great very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean but I did find a couple of long hairs on the bed but other than that it was spotless. There is plenty to do at the hotel with entertainment and wellness centre and bike hire. Amenities in the room are quite good but you need to hire iron from the reception for 10€ deposit. Same with pool towels. The only let down is the area around...
Very good resort with kind staff and a wide range of amenities, including a grocery shop open late and several restaurants. The town is also accessible with a 10-minute walk. In my case, it was ideal for hiking during the day and enjoying a comfortable rest by the pool at the end of the day. Even though the resort provides a large range of shuttle services, renting a car is recommended as the resort...

Great location, minutes walk to beach, restaurants, marina and town. Great value, professional and friendly staff, spotlessly clean. Fab pool area and restaurants on site. Great choice of food at the breakfast and dinner buffet. Spacious balconies with great views.
The hotel and room where very nice and clean, we found on odd occasion the food was not great , breakfasts where fine, but some evening meals where not up to their usual standard. As this was our diamond wedding anniverssary (60 years) .we had cholates and carvar in our room on arrival ( nice touch) . Overall we enjoyed our stay Staff were very nice . Thank you
We had a fabulous family holiday at H10 Lanzarote Princess. The hotel is perfectly located a 10 minute walk from the centre of Playa Blanca and 5 minutes from the nearest beach (Playa Dorada). Excellent hotel brilliant location! Had the best holiday will definitely be back rooms are lovely and very clean. Pool is fantastic, friendly staff great food and drinks.
This hotel is one of the nicest we’ve stayed in. Room 1012 was clean, spacious, fresh towels daily, beds comfortable and quite big… The products in the bathroom were lovely, even tried their shampoo and conditioner, it smelt like the white company products that the Crowne plaza hotels use in the UK… The mini bar in the room lasted us the week, nice touch. Room was not pool facing but didn’t bother...
Our stay at the hotel had a mix of highs and lows. On the positive side, the hotel itself is beautiful and very close to the beach, as well as the rest of Playa Blanca, which made getting around really easy. The reception staff were absolutely lovely and made us feel welcome right away. We really enjoyed the vintage bar acts in the evenings, and Mike’s Coffee Shop quickly became one of our favourite...

Excellent hotel stay
Lovely hotel, very clean and comfortable. Only stayed on a B&B basis but breakfast selection was excellent.
On the negative side, I twice reported a problem with the balcony light but it was not fixed during our one week stay
Excellent hotel facilities, spotless large room and staff were extremely friendly, polite and welcoming.
Can’t wait to come back
Brilliant weeks stay at Lanzarote Park. Location is perfect…short walk to Playa Blanca shops and restaurants and a gorgeous little beach Playa Flamingo on your doorstep! Watching the waves of the sea whilst lying in your sun lounger by the pool is a real treat!
Staff were all so lovely and helpful.
We booked Star Prestige and would definitely book this again.
Beautiful room...
Air Con is a Big Issue.
The problem arises over guest comfort on temperatures in the bedrooms.
No Air Con is on unless :-
Air temperature reaches " certain" values, and the room can never go below 18C.
This led to x2 nights uncomfortable nights sleep.
Hotel stated "edit" law from Spanish government, and the hotels own AirCon laws....
Fantastic hotel, especially for families. Great kids' pool, good programme of entertainments and close to many lovely beaches.
Beautiful place
Has the most beautiful setting on the whole island I’d say

Relaxing stay, lovely staff, good food.
Enjoyed an 11 night stay at the Volcan.
Staff are lovely, very helpful and attentive.
The room could use some TLC in places but was still comfortable. Pillow menu a nice touch but better, newer pillows, really needed.
The atmosphere in Club Volcan is calm and laid back, just what we were looking for to relax and unwind.
The food is tasty, good quality and varied...
Great hotel, amazing design. The biggest bedroom i've ever stayed in. Great location as it was about a 30 min walk from the main area. The only disappointment was the buffet food selection. Sorry to say but it was poor. Whilst i'm not a vegetarian I couldn't see a veggie option when it was the seafood themed evening. The breakfast selection was great. I would stay here again but only on a B&B basis
My stay at Livvo Vulcano in Lanzarote was exceptionally enjoyable, and I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, relaxation, and high-quality service. A truly amazing hotel! What we liked…. Location, right on the marina with a gate for easy access. Also right on the coast so selected rooms have views out to sea and towards Fuerteventura. This was our second visit to Lanzarote staying at the beautiful Mirador Papagayo Hotel this December'25.
The staff are so welcoming, helpful and professional. We'd like to thank Fernanda from the Reception team who goes above and beyond to make your stay very pleasant and enjoyable.
Just spent 2 weeks at this hotel and we will be returning. The hotel is clean if a bit worn in places All the staff from cleaners to managers work extremely hard. Would like to thank Helena (manager)for the bottle of fizz for the wife's birthday.
The hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk to the harbour and about a 40 minute walk to the ferry terminal.
We stayed here off-season (November) so maybe not a fair reflection of how good this hotel can be in it's prime but we did try to bear that in mind writing this! Ultimately it was OK value for money for the time of year, but I did always feel it could be slightly better, or atleast more transparent about what would be reduced for the off-season before we chose it, as some of the reasons we chose this...
Loved it here!
The hotel is lovely, perfect place to relax.
The pool is heated which is amazing!
The rooms are spacious and very comfortable and clean.
The food is good and the breakfast is wonderful. The staff in the dining room cannot do enough for you. They are so nice.
We will be coming back again next year, thank you Mirador Papagayo - see you next year!
Lovely hotel, very clean and staff were good. Food was fine certain days better than others. Like the fact they seat you so your not fighting for tables. We liked the location as it was a lovely walk to the marina down the front. Rooms were great and it wasn't too busy for saying it was school holiday.
We had a fantastic time here. Two adults and two children (6 & 15). Location was spot on for us; amenities nearby, right by the ocean, away from the real hustle and bustle, but still easy to get to the bars and tourist hot spots. We opted for ocean view rooms; well worth the extra money. The rooms themselves were fairly decent. No complaints other than no extractor in the bathroom. Special mention...

Great stay :) we will be coming back.
We enjoyed staying at the hotel. Everything about it was superb. The location and lovely views of the sea made our stay so enjoyable and relaxing.
It was only a one night stop over but thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff very gelpful and hotel was clean our only thing we noticed was the area around the pool was very slippy. Normally a hard brush is used for cleaning the alghi build up but wven to touch you could feel it slimmy.
We really enjoyed our stay it was relaxed and quiet which is what we wanted. The staff were all helpful and courteous, and we found the variety of food to be good at the buffet. The hotel was further out of the centre of Playa Blanca than we realised but we did walk back from the main port in Playa Blanca one day. I think it would be helpful to hire a car.
Very enjoyable stay at the Hipotel Playa Blanca.Having stayed at this facility many times the hotel does not dissapoint.I did think that in certain areas the hotel could benefit from a refresh
Superb hotel for those who enjoy good food, gentle entertainment and quiet.

I really liked this hotel. 8 nights solo trip for a well earned rest. Like many of the older hotels on the island, it's a bit shabby and the drains smell, but it's not selling itself as luxury and is priced in the budget range. At first glance this hotel is ok for the price we paid. Yes hotel is a little out of the way but a lovely 30min walk along the coastal path was delightful. Our room had a stunning sea view ! Room was spotless clean as was the bathroom and bedroom. Fantastic hotel and service. Visiting with our daughter this time, the staff went out of their way to help us. The facilities were great. Only negative was the policy that you can’t take drinks up to your room. With a baby going down early, we were cheap all inclusive guests but would have loved to pop down to the bar and bring a drink back for the evening.
The hotel was fabulous and we were able to sample the extra restaurants that the hotel has. The piano bar was tremendous with it’s entertainment and selection of drinks.
Great family friendly hotel with lots of activities on site and good food. Only downside is how long you want for a taxi if you want to venture out.
Beautiful views
The hotel was very beautiful. Worth to update to the superior room. We had the most amazing view. The only criticism is that during meals, lunch and dinner, the drinks take a bit too long to come. Sometimes you wait for the entirety of your meal. Everything else was perfect.
Excellent quality all inclusive hotel ideal for family with different dietary requirements. Great for gluten free.
Very good stay
We stayed for a week and upgraded to privilege (which i would recommend) the majority of staff were fantastic and very helpful. Food was very good with plenty of choice for an all inclusive. The problem we did have was booking specialty restaurants and the choice wasn't great. They book up very quickly. But both the steak and Italian were good. Sports bar was limited opening hours...

A top class hotel with fantastic food and superb staff.
We have visited this hotel a few times and are always treated so well.
We are currently visiting and feel in response to another review that mentions some renovation work which is happening and will finish in the next few days . . . this has caused no disruption to our holiday at all.
Staying here at the moment..fabulous..cannot praise this wonderful hotel enough... staff are amazing..very welcoming and always happy to help..nothing is too much trouble... Poolside work IS ongoing at the moment..but this has made NO difference to the quality of our stay in any way. Noise..very very minimal ( and our room overlooks it ) .. will be back in september :-)
Nice hotel right next to the ocean. Staff brilliant and food very good. The nighttime entertainment was also very good. Unfortunately while we were staying there the pool bar closed and extensive building work was carried out causing a lot of dust and noise. We had no prior warning of this happening which was extremely disappointing.
Well run; friendly staff in all departments. Comfortable rooms and great food. Evening entertainment very good and great location.
Elegant, stylish and classy. Spacious to accomodate and yet intimate enough to show genuine care of how the holiday-maker feels. The restaurant theme nights and evening shows are balanced, fun, there is a surprise around each corner, table tennis, archery and boules. Pool tables, crazy golf, pool activities are OK. But the pools are cold, though in fairness we are here early in the season.
Definitely...
Really great place for a relaxing holiday. Sun was great. Food excellent. Prices in the hotel were good. Gym, pools and evening entertainment were fabulous. No wonder so many people revisit !!

Great value perfect location
Fantastic location great local area flamingo beach is perfect! The bungalows are great a little dated but ok very clean but the lack of aircon is hard, but we knew this wrote coming and the price reflects this. The pools no one hardly used so that was great just wish one was a little shallower like 1/1.2m so the kids could play easier. Man on bar was really friendly.
Complex is well maintained. Apartment was dated but clean. Outside terrace was excellent
Great little bungalows - a little dated but excellent value for money, super friendly staff, a 2 mins walk to beach and restaurants - very spacious with own terrace with 2 sun beds and table and chairs
Acceptable
Convenient base to stay at with safe parking.
Beds are comfortable but the bungalow could do with a thorough clean ( table and chairs are clammy, old vomit staining the tiles behind the bathroom door ), the back door doesn't lock and lots of cracked tiles on the veranda.
The receptionist would benefit from a hospitality course but the bar staff and the staff around the grounds are very...
It's fine, the staff is very friendly.
Really relaxing the best
I was really pleased with our bungalow ok the furniture is not modern I would say Canarian but everything thing surpassed our expectations we had our own sun deck a back door leading to a drying area could even sit in sun there to English tv channels cooking facilities shower was fab and hot
Swimming area was great a library on site bar restaurant 2 mins to beach and shops

Good place for family vacation, quiet place, near supermarket, shops and restaurants. Apartment with kitchen is fine, comfortable bed, bathroom equipment is a bit 'old', but everything is working fine. Air conditioning is ok, but could be better - we were using maximum setting to cold in October, but in July it would be not enough. The best thing is that great sand beach is only 1.5 km from the hotel...
This hotel is excellent. ..but only if you are looking for a quiet break away from all the fuss of a family package holiday.
Entertainment is virtually nil..so nice quiet evenings and nights.
There is no nightlife in the area..again nice and quiet.
There are no real facilities for children and very few for adults, thus it is ideal for slow contemplation, reading etc.
No nearby facilities mean that...
I stayed in one of the apartments, very clean and spacious and overall one of the better apartments I've holidayed in in recent years, cleaners come regularly to clean and tidy apartment and change towels if and when needed. I chatted to a few holiday makers who were all inclusive and they said the quality of food isn't the best so like myself you'd probably be better to just go accommodation when...
Really nice place to stay, the rooms are clean and the cleaners do a really good job. You do have to check in at another hotel but it is in the same site approx 3 mins from your room. On arrival we had to pay a €50 euro deposit for the room which included towels for the pool and a remote for the TV. I would strongly recommend doing this in cash as it is far easier to get back at the end of the holiday...
