Hotel itself is beautiful, some parts unused, the lower floors (unsure whether this is seasonal)
Food was of good standard and quality, however did not appear that was much options for children within the upgrade.
Wide range for adults, and snack bar pretty much served the same food daily, burgers, hot dogs, pancakes, small selection of sandwiches, chips and salad, some sweet cakes.
We paid for upgrade and were meant to have a turn down service nightly, we did not get this, out of the 7 days we only had this twice.
Which was a little disappointing.
Views from the room were lovely, beds comfortable.
We come back because we feel it's great value for money and the facilities are great for the whole family including our ASD son.
Plenty of food and drinks to choose from although the restaurant can be a bit chaotic. You can pay extra for a more premium restaurant and bar experience but we have never felt the need to.
I see and hear people complain that this is not 5 star hotel and they are right, but for us it is a 5 star holiday experience and resort.
I also have to reduce the overall rating from initially 4 stars to 2 stars. If you want to have a quiet holiday, don't go to this hotel. Several times a day very loud music is played during activities. The volume is way too high and is very disturbing for people who want to relax.
I tried to speak to the manager numerous times and kept been told by reception that the manager was not round today and they were unsure when the manager would be at the hotel.
I have been to many hotels and this is definitely not one I would recommend. A very dated hotel and cleanliness not to a satisfactory level.
Pool area needs new tiles and a proper clean.
Some plates in dinning area had food stains still on them at times so check beforehand.
Found bits of rubbish in rooms still from previous guests.
Would I stay here again not a chance. Very dated, poor cleanliness, not enough staff in certain areas I.e bar areas as queue for drinks is long unless your happy with the drinks on tap.
Amazing view, good food, good entertainment,friendly atmosphere.
We enjoyed our stay at Sandos. The location worked well for us as it was right at the edge of Playa Blanca, and so was very quiet. There was a good range of food, however there were limited main course choices for vegetarians. Some of the food could have been warmer.
