VIK Hotel San Antonio

We are here now, what a shambles breakfast is, it is like a cattle market. I remember the days when waiters would bring you a pot of tea or coffee to your table, not this place, you have to queue up and take your pick of lidless or no knob to open lids dented, scratched tea pots (see photo) and queue to get to the hot water tap. Also find your own cups and saucers which there is often none left so you have to get some from another tea coffee station. Then you need milk, guess what? No milk jugs so you have to search for an extra cup to put milk in. When your hands are full with all these things you have to work your way back to your table squeezing between loads of miserable people to get there. Once all that is on the table you have to join the throng of people to pick what you want to eat, hope it's not eggs because there about 20 people waiting there. To be fair the food is nice once you have managed to get around it all and pick what you want. There is no way I would class this as a four star hotel, more like two stars as far as breakfast goes. Evening meals is the same with to many people there for the size of the food area, once again squeezing past miserable people that would rather barge you away. Not a nice relaxing experience which an evening meal should be. When you eventually start eating your pickings a waiter comes around and says "show me your card" I have to put knife & fork down, get card out so he can mark the back - what a performance. Can't see me coming back to this mad house.

Possibly one of the worse hotels I have ever stayed in. Side sea / Pool room, how they can call it that when a GIGANTIC palm tree is your view I have no idea. - it's also SWARMING with ants and cockroaches. - We got made to feel like criminals because we arrived at 10.15pm at night due to JET2 flight schedule, nothing to do with us but yet we got told we would have to have a cold dinner that THEY pick, - actually criminals get treated better than that. The bar is like gods waiting room, in fact the whole place is like a nursing home, the cocktails in the bar which are only available at night not during the day, (God forbid you wanted one during the day trust me) Are like dirty dish water .. you also have to fight for a waiter as they are literally only dealing with guests who are constantly tipping them they ain't interested in you whatsoever if you ain't tipping on every single thing. The hotel smells damp and the receptionists could do with some training. One also made fun of our accents .. which was weird especially since the hotel had a faint odour of urine. - get your hotel sorted before coming for anyone else. If you believe the reviews good luck, it's mostly from the kids rep who gets them to leave reviews of her activities to make the place look good.
