VIK Hotel San Antonio

Stayed 5 nights half board at San Antonio during December. The location is superb, it is right on the beach and within walking distance to the shops/bars/restaurants.

My room had a great sea view (was closest room to the sea). Air conditioning worked and shower was powerful and warm. Only downside on the room was that it was a little outdated. Breakfast and dinner is what you would expect, a mix of everything. After a few days you do start to see the same food repeated but that is the same whenever you stay half board in most places.

There did seem to be a very high number of guests who were age 60+ and the entertainment the hotel put on did seem to cater to these age groups more. However, this was December so I would imagine there would be more families/younger people in the summer.

There are 3 pools, a main one, a smaller one and a kids one. They were not that warm, especially main one. The smaller pool seemed warmer and was much nicer to lounge by.

Staff always very friendly.

All in all, a great stay and would definitely stay again but some refurbishment in rooms and bar/entertainment area would 100% be of benefit as is a bit outdated.

Stayed here for 1 night when our flight was delayed due to a sandstorm. Our holiday representative was not very helpful and it was very confusing. But Sean at the reception was very accommodating and did his best to help all the people who were detained. He was always cheerful and had a great smile.” The hotel was clean and tidy and the food was very good, the first time I enjoyed breakfast sausage the whole week I was in Lanzarote. Good location too right on the beach close to local shops, bars and restaurants.

The hotel is decorated in beautiful earth tones. No chrome and steel. Right on the beach. The food is very tasty and also suitable for vegetarians. The cats in the hotel are looked after by an animal rights activist. The hotel management tolerates this, but, unfortunately, does not take responsibility.

This hotel is a good 4 star hotel, good food, accommodation and very friendly staff

The hotel was very good. staff excellent, food was good, pool no problem with sunbeds plenty of room read reviews saying you have to pay for fridge and needed to wear long trousers for evening meal this is not so had to pay for safe which l always took as standard. This is our first time here and hopefully we will return. Just like to add our room was off a good standard beds were excellent myself
and my wife slept great air conditioning was also very good we were half board.

Our stay was fabulous
On arrival after a 10min taxi from the airport (13eu fare) reception staff were very professional and helpful. Our room was fabulous, daily cleaning, fresh linen and towels.
The hotel is a very spacious place. Plenty of seating in the foyer, the dining room, outside in the cocktail bar /café, to the lounges by the pools. Daily aqua fit classes if you want to join in for 45min at 11am and 4pm beach boules where everyone makes up groups of 4. Evening entertainment for the kiddies until 9 and then adult only live bands and music until 11.30
Easy walk to the bars and restaurants, and old town centre
Food variety is generous and plentiful, far more than we ever hoped for

Lovely hotel, really friendly staff (apart from poolside barman), great pools, fantastic location just by the sea! Not too far from bars/restaurants but far enough for quiet night. Fantastic food selection. Would go back!
