Reviews
Everything was great except the room itself. It was very small like those in Vegas that were designed to encourage to spend time outside the rooms, which is perfectly fine.
I enjoyed watching people enjoying time together and spending vacations there at the pool. Although I dont speak any German, it was still amazing to have some chill time.
I’d recommend it if you want to nearby ballermann but still want something quieter!!
Breakfast is simply fab. Amazing choice, possibility to sit both in and outside.
Gym is virtually all Technogym, great possibility to work out if you like this (and since the other guests are only focused on alcohol consumption a lot of space).
Pool area, Captain’s bar, pool waiter service, sun beds and pool DJ (sometimes with saxophone or bongo live performances) are an absolute joy. A lot of space ofc due to groups that either go to some Bierhaus or are knocked out in the room due to hangover.
In a nutshell: an older hotel with a nice layer of paint, great public spaces and loudish drunkish German groups of people (who are honestly just loud and not annoying).
Price is fair.
The rooms are simple but nice; the breakfast buffet is the best and largest I’ve ever experienced; the afternoon and evening menu is varied, delicious, and fairly priced; and the staff is very friendly.
As many people have mentioned, the walls and ceilings are THIN, however this did not bother us, and we always slept well.
One thing I want to point out is that the sliding door to the bathroom does not offer complete privacy, so if you’re not completely comfortable with the person you’re traveling with, this might be an issue for you. Other than that we were very happy with our choice and would definitely stay here again :))
Fantastic value for money. The only thing that bothered me is the strange sun bed towel scheme - made no sense to me!
But still some issues.
1. rooms are small
2. its not clean the room and the towels (on the pictures) under the bed is verrrryyy dirty and a lot of spiderwebs
3. balkony is unsafe, the grid wobbles..
4. the elevaters are scary, they shakin always (mostly between 2nd and 4th floor) i told that 2 times but nothing happends
5. the telephone doesnt work in our room.
The breakfast served was really nice, and the pool is great too, enough space and plenty of sun loungers for everyone to rest.
We stayed in a room at the end of a floor but the noise was a little loud - but what can you expect whilst on holiday, everyone after a few pints isn't going to be silent.
Drinks served at the bar were also very nice - would recommend a Blue Lagoon for sure!
All in all great experience. Thanks!
